The Delightful Dog

We rescued our older dog a few years ago and have been pampering her ever since. Normally we go to PetSmart for our spa day, but were recently turned away because our dog is approaching 17. The Delightful Dog agreed to groom our old lady and helped brighten our lives. My dog looks great, smells wonderful, and has a spring in her step again. For those of you with older dogs, you know how much we cherish those few moments when our pets smile and act like puppies again. The Delightful Dog gave us more than a few moments to cherish. The staff was very accommodating, understanding, and kind to our old lady. Thank you Delightful Dog! We will definitely be back in the future.

First I would have to say no stars weren’t an option. Set an appointment at 10:30 am and took till 4:30 for just a bath and nails clip that I had received for two shepherds. What is the point of an appointment if it takes all day and others are taken care of before you? After the long wait I decided to check on them around 3:30p.m. The staff looked lost and told me they are drying. Now tell me, does it take six hours for a dog to dry? Should appointments be taken care of in order received? To top it off one of the woman wanted to belittle my ownership practically stating my dog would hurt itself if it chewed out her cage. Wouldn’t you too, if you were stuck alone without your owner somewhere new for 6 hours? She went on to let me know my dogs did not obey her commands yet in my head they are mine and I am the master. So after a full wasted day I will now take my business somewhere else. Remember first impressions last forever.

My normal groomer was booked so I thought I would give The delightful Dog a try. Unfortunately it was not such a delightful experience not only are they overpriced they didn’t perform the services I paid for and when I called to make sure I paid for nails to be cut and teeth brushing her response was «yep you paid for the services, you can bring your dog in on Wednesday.»
Did I mention it was Friday when I took my dog in to be Groomed and Saturday morning when I called to check that I had paid for the services! Very Disappointing. My dog did smell very nice, but for $ 50 next time I’ll just wait until Heavenly Paws can get me in!
