Decent bar, it seems to be a bit higher class than most other smaller Clarksville bars. If you’ve been here for than more than a week then you know that’s not saying a lot. When I went on a Saturday night they had a pretty good live band playing some good songs. Beer was priced fair and they had the typical bar food. I’d say it’s a pretty solid place to hang out with a few friends and have some drinks. Employees all seemed friendly and the crowd wasn’t too rough like some of the bars I’ve been to here. I’d go back.

Cute little hole-in-a-wall bar famous among local crowd for good times, cheap drinks and shenanigans. Can be a rough crowd. We know how soldiers love to drink(haha!), but really cool staff. Bouncers are funny, bartenders are awesome, good live music often playing. Drinks are strong and beers are cold. Fun seating area outside. Give it a try. Indoor smoking and cash only, so heads up. It’s a dirty, awesome local dive bar and doesn’t pretend otherwise! The wings are super yummy so try them! Beware of two things for non-locals: predatory military wives looking to cheat and trashy Cougars. Everyone knows everyone and despite the moral depravity of sleeping with a man at war’s wife(or any man’s wife) they’ll still slip off their ring, lie about being married and then boom, you’ve got a group of pissed soldiers asking why you’re hitting on their buddy’s wife. And Cougars. Rawr. They’ll getcha if you get too drunk. If that’s your thing, get after it. If you don’t want Stacy’s not so hot mom following you around all night, head downtown. In short, Tippers rocks!

Great small bar. They always have bands playing. They also have 2 pool tables which is pretty cool to have in a small bar. Nice place to get a drink and relax.

I had almost the same exact experience at Jeremy… twice! Sticky, dirty, dark, loud, but very friendly bar. The juke box was a little pricey, but without the music, it’s just banter from the patrons. Very cheap beer… Sam Adams runs $ 2.75 a pint. It’s a little watered down, but for that price… sold! Megan has been my bartender and both times she has made my experience. Besides that fact that she is a proud Detroit Lions fan, which takes a lot of courage to admit, she is very friendly and attentative! Again, this is a cash only bar, so come prepared. If not, they do have an in house ATM. Biggest Downfall: Indoor smoking. Take it or leave it, just know it is there before you walk in the door. Biggest Kudos: Their respect for Service Members! They have a beam dedicated to «Heroes who hang their hats»(literally) at the bar, and a place above the bar for shot glasses dedicated to the fallen heroes of the area.

Sticky… dirty…smoke filled air… and the juke box. The juke box has a few songs on it that are there for profiling purposes only, as I was pointed out(guess Justin Beiber is unacceptable). This place is also preferred hunting grounds for the elusive predator called the cougar. DONOT get too intoxicated, for you too will fall prey. Oh and the bar tenders are cool as cash(don’t mess around, they really do have a cattle prod behind the bar). Cash bar only folks, no cards. This place rocks my face off! Cheers, Jeremy

Tippers is a perfect neighborhood bar. It’s dirty. It’s loud. It’s full of local color. Possibly the best wings I’ve ever had.(Hot wings on the menu.) Crispy outside, juicy inside, spicy sauce. The fried pickles and stuffed potato skins are also tasty, but I was admittedly really hungry(and somewhat drunk) so I’m not sure how much you can hold me to that. But for bar food, is there another state? So I guess you can hold me to that. Beer selection leaves something to be desired, but there are a few decent craft options. At least when I was there, you could get a Coors light in a huge mason jar for $ 2. I think they’ll put any draft in a mason jar(it’s like their«tall»). People still smoke inside. If you’re not used to this, you might need to set a time limit on how long you can stay before your eyes start burning. Expect to air your clothing out after you leave. Some of the staff are super, super nice. Especially Jess.

Best wings I have found. It’s not all te special sauces like at B-Dubs and there are no orange shorts like at hooters, but they are cheap for wings and I’m pretty sure they come off pterodactyls. It’s taken me a long time to rate this place cause I love it so much. It’s a dirty, smokey, dive bar. This place has always been a five in my mind, but how do you put the amazing service into words. If you go in more then once, expect to be hugged by the bartenders. Silly girls give you drinks and love… no wonder I can’t stop from going back.

I live on the west coast, nowhere near Clarksville. I seldom go to Clarksville. And I seldom post reviews. With one exception, there is little about Tipper’s that commends the place. It’s a dump, and attracts a commensurate clientele. The one exception? If I were to start a restaurant in the Seattle area, and wanted hire a bartender’s bartender to run my lounge, I’d fly to Nashville, drive up to Clarksville, and have serious discussions with Tipper’s bartender Eileen. I’ve been all over. Eileen is someone I would talk to. The three stars above are for Eileen. Tipper’s? Eileen, alone, could command five stars were it not for Tipper’s receiving negative two stars.
