Carmen’s Dairy Bar and Grill

Today we went there, but left before placing our order. When we first got there there was a couple ahead of us that didn’t want to order yet. I could tell it was annoying the girl behind the counter. Another girl was waiting for her order, and when it came up, the same girl crabbily yelled, Ma’am, pick up your order over HERE.” Next my husband tried to place his order He wanted something similar to a dairy queen Freeze, a slush mixed with ice cream. The same crabby girl with long brown hair and earrings on the tip of her ear snapped at him. She wanted to know if he wanted the ice cream blended into the slush or just floating on top. It is dream cruise weekend and some loud cars were driving by so it was hard to hear her. I don’t know if she was hung over since she looked disheveled with blood shot eyes, or maybe this is always the way she is. When I called her out for her attitude, she snapped, «I had to repeat myself several times and you guys weren’t listening.» We were shocked, and quickly left. This little snot shouldn’t be working any job. I feel bad for her parents, because she must be a problem child for sure. I had a similar issue at this same place years ago, so I’m guessing the owners have bad luck with choosing workers. It’s a shame because Clawson is such a nice family town. Little snots should go work elsewhere:)

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!‘I changed my order and asked could the remaining be refunded back to my debit card the MANAGER said no, the transaction is already completed. I said well I don’t want 2 banana splits I just want a large one. She argued with me walked away from me in mid sentence. And did nothing to convenience me, just rude as hell. I will never give this place business again first and last time.

We have gone here since we were kids — the name has changed — I’ve never called it Carmen’s, it’s always been D&N Dairy.

I was always sad when it closed for the winter.
Now living somewhere where custard is much harder to find (and much more expensive) I really appreciate D&N.

This place serves the most basic/​common form of «ice cream/​custard» that one can find on earth. Do not waste your money or your calories. Find a real ice cream not made from a bag.

I love their Dutch Chocolate Cyclone Icecream. it has chocolate, vanilla, walnuts, and coconut. it is heavnly. and every time I am in town. I have to go and try there ice cream… must try place
