Flute Specialists

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Flute Specialists! I played the flute in high school and college, and took private lessons as well as had amazing repairs and tune ups for my flute and piccolo from 2002 – 2006. If you are considering lessons for yourself or for your child, you simply need to go to Flute Specialists. My parents drove me all the way from Chesterfield, 45 minutes one way, because no one else compares. All of their instructors are beyond talented, and will completely transform your skills as a musician. Also, the flute choir and opportunities to perform in their recitals are amazing opportunities to improve your skills and practice performing in front of an audience. In high school I was always first chair and earned 1^st division ratings at Solo and Ensemble with solos that I prepared with my instructor, so I decided to join the campus band just for fun when I went to Michigan State since it is catered to students who are not music majors but want to enjoy music as a hobby. When auditioning for chairs for a particularly fussy director, he stared at me in disbelief and asked me why I wasn’t a music major since my skills were on par with students who had passed the rigorous audition process to be admitted into the School of Music. I was completely shocked. For students who compete in Solo and Ensemble or are considering a career in music, taking lessons from the amazing staff at Flute Specialists is a must in order to have the skills necessary for such a competitive field.

I came across Flute Specialists quite by chance. I live in Jacksonville, Florida; Robert just happened to be in town for a convention, and left his business card on the bulletin board at our local Guitar Center. I had been considering fixing up my old flute for several months, and when I saw his card, I decided to give him a call. He was extremely friendly and knowledgable, and I appreciated the time he took to explain all of my options.
I ended up shipping my flute to them for a tune-​up. From start to finish, I was very pleased with the customer service. They did a fantastic job making my old flute work perfectly again! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy new, or fix up an old flute!
