Jessica(from trim) is a hair GODDESS!!! I have severe trust issues with my hair and am also super picky/OCD. I had an incident earlier this year when someone literally hacked(and destroyed!!) my hair, so I knew I didn’t want just ANYBODY cutting my hair. I remembered that my bf loooooves how Jessica does his hair, so I called and arranged for her to see me at tease. I explained to her what i wanted(a minimum of 8″ off to donate, no razors, and a new color) and showed her pictures. She was realistic with me and told me which colors would work for me(given my previous history of hair color). We settled on a cut, and Jessica went to work! She was so meticulous with her work. In addition to her attention to detail and skills, I am so grateful for her patience, especially as I kept interrupting her to request more hair be donated, to fix one side, etc. I LOVE the way my hair came out!!! I immediately left tease and sat in my car for 5 mins to text everybody close to me pix of my hair. I’ve received so many compliments on my short hair, and it’s only been short for 10 hours! Jessica revived my dead, ratchet, sorry looking hair; helped me give to those who can’t grow hair; and got me summer ready! I wish it didn’t take me 4 years to realize she cuts women’s hair just as well as men’s hair! If you need your hair done, call Tease and request for«Jessica from Trim»(that’s what I did). I love my hair and can’t wait to go out in public again tomorrow so everybody can see it hahaha.

Jessica has been my stylist for almost a year and knocks it out of the park, every time! She is incredibly talented with color(I’m rocking the sombre) and after a cut, my hair feels like silk. I went almost 26 years hopping from salon to salon, never really impressed or worse, disappointed. Then, Jess changed that all. Though I’ve only visited a handful of times, Jessica feels like an old friend who cares about whats happening in my life(you know, a friend who also happens to be amazing at hair. Win!). Tease is the ultimate gem of metro-Detroit. It’s the perfect mix of upscale & comfort. Every stylist is passionate about their work & it’s great to see faces light up with each new ‘do. Do your hair a favor and get in there now!

I’ve been going here for a couple years now and always have great experiences. I sometimes have a different stylist each time and am just as happy!

I had a good experience at Tease and would return. My boyfriend called and made a same day appointment for me here — while he got his hair done at Trim next door(it’s the male version of Tease.) He loves Trim — and his hair always looks AWESOME after leaving there. They got me a same day appointment at the same time as his with no problem, I came in at 6 and was done a little before 830. I have long hair. I got a partial highlight and a trim. I like that they don’t put you under heat to let the highlights set… that is always uncomfortable and damaging to your hair. The color turned out fine/average(I like it a bit more blonde than it turned out) — the trim was above average though, great layers added and I really feel the difference even a week later my hair still feels so much healthier than it was before. For a partial highlight(on long hair) and a trim it was $ 105 not including tip. The salon was not overly pretentious or trying to hard — it was cute, fun, and had a positive atmosphere. I wasn’t overly WOWED by Tease but definitely had a good enough experience to come back again.

The girls are really friendly and accomodating and are very child-friendly. I’ve brought my daughter here 3 times and she has a smile on her face the whole time. My stylist was Kristen, who has since moved, but she was very detailed and professional. I love the décor and that they were very easy to make appointments with. Once they scheduled me in the same day within the hour! I have been pleased and would return and recommend.

Awful, that is the one word that best describes my experience. I was part of a wedding party, and we all went here to have our hair done. My hair was lumpy, teased without being smoothed out, I asked for it to be straight, she curled it, I explained what I wanted her to do, she tried redoing some if it, it was still tragic, it was clear to me at that point it wasn’t going to get any better. Another bridesmaid had her hair falling out of the up-do 10 mins after leaving. The worst part– they messed up the brides hair appointment(moving it 2 hours up without telling her). After messing up our hair we made a last minute appointment for the bride at another salon which was more expensive but 100% worth it, her hair was beautiful, and we re-did our own hair after leaving the salon. Worst $ 65 I’ve ever spent.

They messed up my appointment last time and asked me to come back 2 hours later. I was desperate to get my hair done, so I did it. I think the stylist was trying to hurry me through and used bleach for my highlight. My hair is thin, and is easily damaged by bleach. Normally stylists use a highlight tint. Anyhoo, I didn’t know what she was doing, and it ended up looking like streaky hay. Won’t be back, and won’t refer.

Another $ 50 down the drain. This is what I get for making last minute hair appointments at salons with high Unilocal ratings. I’ve been growing out my hair for months and was starting to look like the lead singer from Creed. Time for a trim. I walked up to the back door where what seemed like every stylist that works there was lounging on patio furniture. No greeting. In fact, they stopped their conversation to look over at me with blank stares. Worse than no greeting. I walked inside and was acknowledged by the receptionist. No warm welcoming. No drink offers. No small talk. This same receptionist hustled me out the door when it came time to pay. Her«have a good day» felt less like a nice sentiment and more like a warning to get out now. As for the hair cut, I doubt even my mother or best friend would notice anything different about me. The cut took a total of about 30 minutes. At least 20 of those were spent blow drying. I immediately put my hair back into a pony tail when I got to my car. No, I won’t be coming back.

Just wanted to update to say that Devorah has moved to a new salon called Salon Jarnac in Troy in case you read this review but wanted to set up an appointment with her! Same prices as at Tease.

I was not pleased. The manicurist used scissors on my cuticles(ouch!). There was no exfoliating and no hand massage. She was friendly and nice and the private room was good as well. Very rude salon though, Twice my service was interrupted. The second time by the wax person who wanted to rush through that service during my manicure! Needless to say, I cancelled that service. Will not be back.

Went to Tease for the first time a few days ago and loved it! I got there like ten minutes early and they got me right in. I brought in a picture of the cut I wanted and Heather worked with my fine-haired, cowlicky head to give me exactly what I wanted. My hair looks a lot fuller and I barely have to style it. And it was only $ 40 bucks. The salon is super cute and they even gave me a chocolate Easter egg when I left, haha. I will definitely be coming back to have Heather cut my hair and once I am less poor I’m gonna hopefully go in for highlights.

Tease Salon, on Main Street in Clawson is my new salon! I followed my long time hair stylist Kami here this summer. The salon is very cute, sitting just north of 14 mile on Main street. there is a black and pink theme to the décor, cute chandeliers and comfy stylish couch and chairs. The salon offers a full array of beauty services. All things hair,(styling, cut, color, up-dos, blow-outs, etc) waxing, facials, and massage. The prices are great! and the services are worth it and well done. Kami is my stylist, and I have my hair cut and highlighted once a month. when you arrive, the receptionist will ask you if you’d like anything to drink, and then show you to your stylist’s seat. Kami gives the best cut around, and she is a fantastic colorist. she was a top Redken hair colorist before coming to to tease, so she really knows her color! There are all the current fashion magazines, and some of the better, guilty pleasure trashy ones to read while getting your hair done. There is also a large screen HDTV mounted to the wall to watch if your are really bored. The salon has private massage/facial/waxing rooms down the hall to the back, a large private bathroom for clients, and an array of free perfumes for clients to try as well. They sell cute jewelry at the desk, and carry a line of great hair products: Moroccan Oil, KMS, Tigi, Kenra, Alterna, Joico, and Redken. There is free parking in the front on the street and more in the rear of the building. If you are jonesing for sushi, Nobel Fish(the best authentic sushi in town) is right around the corner on 14 mile. I think I am going to indulge in a massage service next. Kami says they are super relaxing and at $ 45 for an hour, why not?

I have been getting my hair cut at Tease for about a year. My favorite thing is the stylists actually listen to what I’m describing that I want. I normally go to Lisa but have seen a few of the other gals when she’s not available and their all good. The atmosphere is nice and they’ll even offer you a glass of wine when you’re getting a cut, which is just a nice touch.

I will drive from Hazel Park all the way to Clawson to get my hair cut there. Jen is wonderful, a very sweet person who is very easy to get along with. I am so happy with the end results, too. Cute salon. The interior is very nice.
