I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts for at least 25 years, and as my sight worsens, I’ve found that my visits to the optician have become increasingly complicated and frustrating. For many years now, I’ve been bouncing around, trying to find a good eye doctor, which I finally found in Dr. Daniel Pisacano. Dr. Pisacano was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable, and was very thorough in his exam. Most impressively, he took the time to listen to my issues, addressed each one, and was able to correct a couple of problems that my last doctor should have caught two years ago. The cost of an eye exam at Sears was very affordable, which is important to me, since I’m paying out of pocket. When comparing the cost of an exam for contact lenses, their price was significantly cheaper than anywhere else I called in the Syracuse area(my exams always lean towards the more expensive side because I have an astigmatism). I wasn’t buying any new frames this time around, but I did notice that they did have some cute options(especially the Ray Bans) at a nice range of prices. You won’t find brands like Gucci, Prada, or any independent lines here, but I don’t think that this should put people off who want something more high-end. With all of the options out there today, you could always purchase frames on your own and then come in for the eye exam and lenses. We all want to look our best, but what are those cute frames for, if you don’t have a good optician behind you?! So, to sum it up, Dr. Pisacano is awesome! And even though I live in Brooklyn, from now on, I will be returning to see him.
