A cozy little place with yummy fresh daily specials. There is always a quiche of the day, a soup of the day and a cheese melt of the day. You can’t go wrong with any of their food. You need to make sure to leave room for their decadent and massive desserts. Chef Jenny is a sweetheart.

Excellent! Where do I start? The food was fresh and very tasty; our waitress was friendly and attentive; the cook delivered our food to the table quickly and all made to order. The restaurant is an old house with plenty of charm, located on a side street near the center of town. This is a busy restaurant so parking is at a premium. We will definitely be back and, hopefully, next time we’ll have enough room for one of their homemade deserts.

You must eat here while in Clayton. Lunch only Menu is Chef inspired and runs with the seasons with fresh daily specials. Everything has great flavor. They«hands down» have the know about cheeses and THEBEST Crème Brulé, so if you love it, eat it. You won’t be disappointed. You can eat inside or sit on the side porch to enjoy the mountain air. It is located in the heart of downtown, but off the beaten path, so keep your eyes peeled for Fromage.

Cozy lunch place near downtown Clayton, GA. We got there at 2:58pm, and they let us come in even though they closed at 3:00pm. Very hospitable of them! I can’t say my dish had a name. I had one of the specials of the day which was a pasta with asparagus, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms mixed in a cream sauce. My boyfriend had a cup of chorizo and black bean soup. The soup was very good with a little spicy kick. The cheese melt was a little misleading in size and appearance. We thought it was going to be like a grilled cheese sandwich, but it looked more like a slice of pizza in appearance. Little on the thin side; however it was still tasty with the soup. The«ugly» orange raspberry cream cake we had was satisfying-Not too sweet. A good size slice of cake for two people. Overall we enjoyed Fromage after our hike through Tallulah Gorge.

This is the best little place I have found in North Georgia on our way to Cherokee. If you ever travel through here, you must stop at Fromage. Excellent food and service:)

«I don’t know where they would have lost a Star.?» — Chelsea Shaw; our first time dinning w/this local side street staple. Quaint, friendly, great outdoor gathering area. The quality of food € to price of food: ratio is hard to beat. $ 24 for 2 — perfect amount of food. Another winner in Clayton, GA

Wow! What a charming place! Delightful staff so friendly and helpful. I had the BESTSANDWICHEVER! It was a French dip with Emmental cheese, horseradish and carmelized onion. The bread is soft with a slight crunch on the outside. It was like French onion soup with tender thinly sliced beef. The first bite was like a chorus of angels in my mouth. I was going to eat half and save the rest for dinner. HAHAHA! It was gone in a flash. It was served with couscous salad with cranberries, apricots and a light spicy dressing. My sis had Quiche and Salad equally delicious. Topped it off with the cake of the day. Clearly homemade and as good as mine ;). This place is what 5 stars were designed for Thank you Formage!

Very simple yet wonderful. Be sure to get the cheese plate. It is a delicious stater and a great value. And you can buy the cheeses that you love. Don’t let another well worth it restaurant not survive in Clayton, stop in you won’t be disappointed with their lunches. Dinner I didn’t love but would give it another try. Be sure to check hours before stopping.

The menu changes weekly but some staples remain, such as the Not Quite Cuban sandwich, which is now on our list of Top 10 sandwiches ever. We also loved the pumpkin gruyère soup and chicken veggie lasagna, both specials of the day. Everything is made with astounding care and creativity. I never expected to find a place like this in a small North Georgia mountain town. .
