This is simply the best Restaurant in Clayton georgia and possibly one of the top that I have ever eaten at all over the world. The food is always fresh, and displayed so beautifully and the staff is super friendly and remember your name. I suggest the Black and blue burger but I have NEVER had a bad meal there. LOVEIT! It is our go to spot when we go out to eat. Classy, Clean and YUMMY! Great Prices too!

Great Mex fusion cuisine. Meats flavored perfectly. Service could be a little sharper but the food makes up for it. Had the fajita nachos, borritto and the baked potatoes soup. All great!

After reading the reviews on this place and having a Mexican craving while in Clayton, we decided to give it a try. It was a little off the beaten path so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. We had the chorizo cheese dip and it was delicious. It comes in a bread boat and has wonderful flavor. It is served with tortilla chips. My husband literally scraped out the inside of the bread bowl :) we also split the fajita nachos and they were kind enough to separate them into two different bowls for us. They were also delicious and the meats and veggies were cut into small strips which made them easy to eat on the tortilla chips. The staff was also very friendly.

Great food! Fast service. Love the hamburgers! The fajitas nachos are delicious too. Also ask for homemade ice cream! Always enjoy our Ishy visits :)

I used Unilocal to find this great tucked away Resturant and we are so glad we found it. We try to stay away from fast food if we can help it and this was a great place to stop and eat while passing through town. I had the house salad and my husband had the chimichanga and both were great. The queso cheese dip was in a bread bowl and had yummy chorizo. Loved it.

Wanted something other than fast food for a late lunch as we traveled through town. What a wonderful surprise! Delicious food and cute environment In spite of being hard to spot behind car dealer and United bank. This will be our go to when we are in town!

Looks like a fancy place and appears that was what they were going for but… there was nothing really special that I saw while me and my wife ate there. The wait time to even get a drink was a bit long but I forgave that due do it being busy. The wait for the food was about the same. I drink my drinks faster than most so I sat with an empty cup more than I liked, again they were busy so I forgave that. The food itself was nothing spectacular. I got the surf and turf burger which was just a hamburger with fried shrimp on it. The bun was good and the rest was average. My wife liked the chicken paninni she got. Overall I would try again and I would choose a different item this time

We won’t be returning. The rice is bland, the refried beans are a terrible, pale mush. My wife ordered a taco salad, only to find out the taco salad doesn’t include meat. Bizarre…

Passing through Clayton alone on Friday night, I stopped in to take a break from driving and grab some dinner. I had the steak quesadilla and was blown away by the freshness and quality. This place was little hard to find as the map program on my phone didn’t sync to this address well. It was worth seeking out. I’ll be back next time I’m in Clayton.

This is a tasty little stop in the mountains. I got a cuban and some ice cream. Both were great. Looking forward to my next visit.

Needed lunch at someplace other than a fast food joint. Unilocal got us to Ishy’s. Not sure if Mexican is a correct category; maybe more Cal-Mex. Large, fresh salads; the black-n-blue was perfectly dressed(not drowning). Panini’s made well and generous in proportion; good value. Service was acceptable/good. Décor is lacking. Ishy’s location is easy to miss; look for it behind the red roofed United Community Bank on 441.

This place is a jewel! We just moved to the area from California and delighted to find a place like this. I had the BOB burger, my son the Parillada and my wife a Panini and were all three very happy with what we were served. Gracious and responsive hosts serving high quality affordable food prepared from scratch. What’s not to like? We’ll be regulars!

Sunday afternoon and we found this restaurant on Unilocal and was passing through Clayton and was highly recommended… BAD…The interior is very open and plain and has no appeal… We ordered our lunch at 1:30 and got it at 2:10 and received the wrong items… we had ordered the steak wraps and got steak quesadilla’s and then charged us for a side that was suppose to come with the wraps that we original ordered… service was very liking in attention as had to request more drinks… Think about choosing this location.

I ate here yesterday for my birthday lunch. I tried to order a couple of things on their menu and the waitress said we don’t have that. We ordered the tri colored chips with cheese dip and the chips were not tri colored. Just regular ordinary chips. My boyfriend ordered fajita nachos and I ordered the tostadas. He should have ordered what I had and saved money because it was the exact same thing.

Very vegetarian friendly. I had the black and blue salad with caramelized onions, pecans, blue cheese on a spring mix topped with dark balsamic vinaigrette. It was very elegantly plated. The perfect portion, as well as enjoyable.

Although Ishys is advertised as Mexican, I would hesitate to call it so. The menu has many choices: burgers, salads, paninis, and yes, Mexican fare. I had a Vegetable panini, hubby had a Chicken burger with avocado & both of us chose the homemade potato chips for our side. Both dishes were nothing short of great. Please, make an effort to have a meal here. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped in while passing thru town — a bit off the beaten path and not exactly a welcoming façade, but well worth it. Very good food and very good service. Our table of 8 raved.

I stop in when I’m visiting family in Clayton. This is a great little restaurant. I’ve had a few of their sandwiches and a salad or two, all have be yummy. My niece loves their lobster bisque, but they don’t always have it. They rotate soups of the day. The service is always professional and attentive. They also have the most yummy sopapilla. Get them with a scoop of homemade ice cream.

Hidden Gem! We were looking for food during thanksgiving and were lucky to stumble upon Ishy’s on our drive to Atlanta. Well prepared food with interesting selection from American to Latin. Will definitely visit this place again when in Clayton. Homemade ice cream was fantastic! Friendly servers.
