Third time is supposed to be a charm, right? Not at this Kaldi’s location. Three times I’ve been in here and every time I’ve been treated condescendingly. Each time I’ve spent over $ 30 buying coffee beans and still the baristas are bored with answering my questions. This third time as I picked up the two bags of coffee the barista asked if I wanted a bag. I said yes. He opened a bag and shoved it across the counter. He couldn’t be bothered with the concept of «customer service» and put the coffee in the bag. It wasn’t busy. One other person was at the counter. What a crew of pretentious pr! cks. The DeMun location puts this little crappy operation to shame. The DeMun baristas are always happy to answer questions about the different coffees and never treat customers with condescension. I’ll never darken the door of the Clayton location again.

The vanilla latte and gooey butter cake were both amazing. Only wish I had more time to sit around and relax.

I absolutely love their coffee. It is strong, and tastes so fresh. To me, its better than Starbucks coffee. The only drawback is price. Depending on what you order, it could be quite pricey. The barista’s are always friendly, and it’s a nice place to chill and quietly enjoy your coffee. I just tried their baked maple pumpkin latte, and it was quite delicious! They amazing pastries as well, and a nice lunch menu if you are looking for a quick, fresh lunch!

Dropped by here to check out their coffee and ended up discovering they sold gooey butter cake! Finally got to try this St Louis staple and wow, such amazingness! Also, got a banana(ripe) and a peanut butter cookie(so chewy). Nice shop to visit with a super friendly staff! Glad to try the place and hope to stop by next time I’m in town!

Not much breakfast places in this area but this place has a lot to offer. They have smoothies, coffee, tea, bagels, cakes, and, breakfast burritos. They also serve lunch with salads and sandwiches. I had the smoothie and egg white burrito. The egg white burrito has baked egg whites, sweet potato and peppers. This one does take a while to prepare as I had to wait around 5 – 10 minutes. But it was worth the wait because it was pretty good and refreshing. The smoothie is pretty standard. I will be back here for breakfast when I come back to this area.

Best Latte so far in STL. Such a sweet staff at this location! I’ve tried every coffee shop near and far and keep coming back here.

I expected better based on the reviews but I wasn’t too impressed. I ordered my signature soy latte(iced) and there wasn’t much flavor to the coffee beans which was disappointing. The place itself was a little rundown which was surprising since the neighborhood seemed a bit uppity and the guy ringing me up wasn’t friendly at all. I’d probably pass on this coffee shop if I ever were to visit MO again.

Strong latte — sweet, clean, not burnt(no syrup needed); appreciate the options — Decaf/sugar free vanilla(for the wife!). Excellent baked goods. Friendly service. The best I’ve found in the Lou. Single origin coffee(do not recall the name) didn’t blow me away. That and the limited hang out space are the only thing keeping Kaldi’s from 5* But don’t get me wrong, I visited this place three times in a two day stay. The«granola(oat) bars»(chocolate — yes, please!) were heavenly. I grabbed a couple to stick in the airport bag. Cannot believe I never discovered this before in my passings through Clayton. BTW– quick footnote, don’t even think about pulling curbside to the Condo building just East. They have a surly 30 y.o. that comes out immediately and stares death beams at you(even if your SO is sitting in the car for a grab & go – it’s a no go.) Use the small lot with meters immediately west of Kalidis. I highly recommend this chain and this location.

My husband ordered a double espresso and it was one of the prettiest things I’ve ever seen! Everything in served on a rectangular plate. At one end is your tiny mug of espresso. At the other end is a small glass of water. And on a spoon in between the two are two chocolate covered coffee beans. Luckily, my husband is awesome and let me eat those. :) My only complaint seems a little silly… I think they were playing Tori Amos, a particularly wrist-cutting, annoying song. Her voice is pretty strident and took away from the laid-back atmosphere for me.

I love Kaldis. I love the coffee, the staff, location and venue. I live nearby and wish I could go there to get my work done but the WiFi is so terrible that every time I go I find myself having to leave to go somewhere else where the Internet works. This has happened several times and I now find myself driving further out just so I can get decent coffee and good wifi. It’s too bad because the coffee is great.

This is the Kaldi’s I frequent most often, just because it’s close to my work/girlfriend and has plenty of seating — both inside and out. The staff are always super friendly and the coffee & food never disappoint. Also, there’s a parking garage — which is always nice.

I adore this place. It’s such a gem in Clayton. I had a hard time finding a place to sit down when I stayed at Sheraton. I was so happy when I found this lovely coffee shop. People are extremely friendly. Their latte is just beautiful and tasty. I tried their spinach salad and egg white burrito. Both are really amazing. They truly put their hearts into it! I’ll be moving to Clayton soon and can’t wait to come back to this cute coffee shop!

This is definitely my favorite Kaldi’s location. While I love the one on DeMun(which is also the one I literally lived at), I like coming here whenever I need a change of pace. It’s the same old Kaldi’s awesomeness that you expect at every other establishment, but a bit more refined. Maybe I’m just a weirdo, but it’s the perfect spot if you want to stroll around on a bright summer day. The employees definitely are amazing and really know their coffee well. I love that they can get me to try something new and always end up recommending something I really love. They have great recommendations and I whole heartedly recommend this location for catching up with friends over a cup of coffee.

After having Kaldi’s I never go to Starbucks anymore if I can help it. The iced coffee is amazing because it’s cold brew, and the staff at this location could not be friendlier. I never go anywhere else for coffee.

Most excellent local talent. Coming from San Francisco I was pleasantly rewarded for my inquiry for the best local pull! Convenient to The Ritz and central Clayton business center.

Great coffee, great service… It doesn’t get much better than that. The personalized service makes it feel less manufactured than Starbucks because you know they care, instead of simply talking to you because a big corporation is telling them to. The atmosphere was fantastic and laid back, and they have Billy Goat Chips! All around a fantastic place if you need a caffeine fix.

The bean juice here tastes so good, specifically the maple syrup infused Highlander Grogg, that it needs no sweetener. Yeah, I said it. The taste is so sumptuous that I will risk bringing my two kids inside instead of muck through the nearest Starbucks drive-thru — it’s just that worth it.

From breakfast to sandwiches and salads Kaldi’s does a beautiful job. Everything is fresh and very tasty. I recommend the Breakfast burrito and Chop salad. A relaxing and chic ambience with a great menu. Friendly staff too. And of course they serve coffee drinks of all kinds as well as smoothies. A good place to sit back and veg.

This place is so much better than your run of the mill Starbucks. Kaldi roast was flavorful and rich. The oatmeal was served with a choice of almond milk or cream with blueberry toppings for 50 cents. Breakfast burrito had fresh spinach and was toasted. We will be back!

We found this small coffee shop thru Unilocal while we were running errands in the area. I ordered organic chai tea latte with spinach and cheese croissant. Tea latte tasted good but the croissant was ok not great. The stars are more a 3.5 rounded to 4. The interior and décor was really nice and the chandelier looked nice and neatly placed. They have a side small cozy room for a more private time and some chairs and tablets in the main hallway. The staff were friendly. They had several yummy smoothies on their menu and the combinations looked appetizing esp. as a post workout or morning smoothie. Will try to return to try their smoothies and hot drinks.
