I was very pleased with the service I received at Lucy Lee. It was close to my hotel and they took me in without an appointment. The staff was welcoming, courteous and and efficient. I wish the salon was closer to my home in Detroit! Thanks again.

I went in on a Sunday evening about 45 mins before they closed. They were very accommodating. They took their time and made sure everything was perfect. By far best customer service I’ve had in St. Louis. Nails look great and atmosphere is nice. Happy I found this spot!

Over a week later and my regular manicure still looks amazing! And I am not kind on my nails at all. They took me last minute on a Friday without hesitation, even though it was crowded. Will definitely come back next time I am in town.

I have been to many nail salons in St. Louis, however Lucy Lee’s is the first one that knows how to do gel nails and have them last for 3 weeks. They have all new chairs for pedicures that put you in the zen world. I highly recommend this salon as the best in st.louis.

Perfect place to relax and get your nails did! Right by the Ritz in Clayton. High end atmosphere with competitive prices. This is my new favorite spot!

I used to swear by this nail salon and take friends here as well. My last two pedicures have been a HUGE disappointment. I will not be back.
I always make an appointment but feel that my service is being rushed when walk ins enter the salon.
My nail technician was rude after I declined an up-​sale service and the foot massage was poor at best.
Do not waste your money for average services.

Great Clayton location with free garage parking. Awesome polish selection and very friendly staff. Cannot comment on cost vs other nail salons, but you get what you pay for.
Tip: make appointment for acrylic nail services.

This place is very nice. The staff is kind and attentive and I never feel ignored or rushed like other places in the same price range.

I was staying at the nearby hotel and needed a salon close by. Well this was right next door. Got a mani pedi on a whim & glad I did. They did a great job. Clean, friendly service. I recommend it.

Lucy Lee is own and ran by a really sweet women, her mom and a few others. The location is very convenient and parking never seems to be an issue. I believe they also have packing out back. However, I have three comments and will likely take my business else where.
1. Attention to detail. My polish ways hits my cuticles– they rushed services shows in the end result.
2. Lack of schedule organization. Even after making appointments, you’re still starting late and you’re there for hours at a time.
3. Pricing. There are more competitive mani and pedis out there, that do a better job at #1 and #2.
If in a bind, it’s not a bad place to go. They’re very sweet and accommodating. But when it comes to end results, the time and money you put into it– you can go somewhere else for a better deal.

I enjoy visiting Lucy Lee’s whenever I’m in St Louis! The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is good could stand a few updates! Nevertheless I highly recommend their services if you are visiting and if you need to pamper yourself or take your mind off other things. A Lucy Lee pedicure helps!

Yoda did my mani/​pedi, she did a very nice job. The shop was a little tired looking and in need of cleaning and organizing. I did not like that they used an already used nail file on me. And the foot bowl was swished, I did not see any disinfectant used to clean it out.
Reasons for one star… I went in with a gift certificate. I had moved and could not find it. I just found it. A gift certificate is paid cash to a company and should not expire, if not used it’s free money to the company. Unfortunately, I did not know the certificate expired. I was told that it would not be accepted. GOod customer service WOULD have been to at least honor half, as they had the money paid to them already. Unfortunately they did not honor it at all. I had the mani/​pedi done anyway… they charged me for callous removal ($ 5.00extra), good customer service WOULD have thrown that in… nope. My total bill was $ 49.00, I liked yoda (very personable) so I gave her $ 20 tip. My mani/​pedi actually cost $ 84.00 plus tip $ 104 ($ 35.00/gift certificate not honored, $ 49.00 I paid for mani/​pedi, $ 20.00 tip.) They are probably laughing at me… but I believe that what goes around comes around.
Oh, one other thing… I find it very RUDE to be in a shop and the staff speak in another language.
I will not return and will tell all my St. Louis friends about my experience. Sorry ladies, you were very nice, but I think you need to learn the meaning of customer service, key to any business.

Terrible experience: they were late, inattentive and the place was dirty. Never again.
More detail — I made an appointment for a pedicure at the opening hour (9:30 or 10:00). There was one customer already mid-​manicure and her manicurist didn’t even look up to say good morning. I walked up to them and said I had an appointment at that time, she told me to pick a color and sit down at a chair, which I did.
Another staff member emerged from a private room that seemed to be a massage/​wax room, checked her email and returned inside, without noticing me.
Another staff member appeared from an inside room to greet another manicure customer and sat down with her, without speaking to me.
Finally, after 20 minutes, I asked if anyone was going to do anything. One of the ladies came and started filling the pedicure chair vat with water and told me to put my feet it — and omitted the blue disinfectant salts. After another 10 minutes, someone finally came to do my pedicure and she was about to go ahead, when I asked for the salts to be put it — and then she did it, with a careless «sorry».
She then pulled tools out of what look like a sterile bag, except it was already open (someone else mentioned that in this thread).
I had booked a deluxe pedicure that was supposed to include the foot scrub — and I think I got the basic one instead (but got charged for the deluxe). This lady trimmed my nails and cuticles, gave me a 2 second leg massage, then applied polish (it was so streaky, I could have done it better myself). She talked on her cell phone while she was applying polish. She left immediately to serve another pedicure customer. When I asked her to help me with my flipflops, she ignore me, which caused me to ruin the polish on one big toe.
Finally another staff member arriving for work helped me with that, and she actually fixed ALL the toes because they were so poorly done from the get-​go. She seemed nice and attentive, but it wasn’t enough for me to consider returning there.

Lucy Lee came highly recommended from a friend, so I went for a massage and it was wonderful. My therapist was Nancy, she gave a really nice deep tissue massage that had me totally relaxed afterward. I will certainly go back again.

I love this salon. I have been coming here since it first opened and have never had much to complain about. I give it 4 stars because recently there has been an addition to the staff who I feel is detrimental to the overall environment of the salon. I unfortunately did not have the chance to catch her name because I ran out of there as fast as I could once she finished. She spent 1.5 hours on a basic mani pedi and I left with my big toe throbbing.
While I recommend this salon to absolutely anyone, I suggest making an appt with either Lucy, Yoyo, or Yada. They are simply the best.

I had a wonderful manicure here during my lunch break. Pier took care of me and did an awesome job! I would definitely go back to see her any day.
The place was very neat, tidy, and calm. The staff was all very nice, including the owner, Nikki. The polishes were all arranged by color, which helped me choose the exact shade I had in mind. Finding this place was a gem!

The first salon I’ve visited that I should’ve marched out of shortly after sitting down.
My nail tech very clearly had a fungal infection. While letting her do her thing (including pulling tools out of a plastic bin… tools didn’t seem to be autoclaved) and biting my tongue, I had a bit of time to look around the joint. The place needs a good scrub. There were toenail clippings here, there, and everywhere. Dirty towels shoved in a corner. All of this does not inspire confidence.
Paid and got out of there as quickly as I could.
Really disappointing.

I don’t quite understand the «$$$$» atop their Unilocal page? My mani-​pedi was only $ 35 which I thought was decent.
Their salon is clean and the girls do a great job. If you have a big party feel free to call for reservation that way you can get right in.
I feel lucky to have found this hidden gem next to the ritz.

I’ve gone here quite a few times and I suggest it to friends that are looking for a reasonably-​priced mani/​pedi or gel mani/​pedi. I find the establishment to be clean and the employees to be (mostly) nice and friendly. The women that have actually done my mani/​pedis in the past have all been incredibly kind but there are one or two women that walk around and speak a bit harshly with each other and on the phone… I don’t know what that’s all about. But nobody’s ever been rude to me so I count it as all good.
They have a good color selection and it’s pretty easy to get an appointment. I once made an appointment months and months in advance (for my wedding) and there were no issues with it. At other nail salons, I’ve had many appointments get «lost» if I make them more than a week out. They have a pretty straight-​forward website and you can decide on what level of service you want (and how much you’ll pay) before you go. I recommend this plays.

I came to Lucy Lee’s last weekend and I was hesitant until now to review until a week later so I could accurately assess the state of my nails!
Ambiance:
Clean, well lit, nicely situated in Clayton. Modern design.
Service:
I got a typical french gel manicure and was greeted by friendly staff. I particularly asked for the manicurist to make sure she wouldn’t get too close to the cuticle, and so far I have a little peeling that is acceptable and nothing as my friend who by day 2 already was vigorously peeling off. While this place may be better for its traditional nail polish mani/​pedis, I wouldn’t recommend the gel here unless you know who specifically to seek out.
