The Wicked Pig BBQ

Visited the Wicked Pig location today. Previous visits yielded the best beef brisket I’ve every had. Alas the pig has disappeared quite wickedly. I hope this is just a location change, but found no clue as to what’s happened.

Bester Burger den ich in den USA je gegessen habe ! Der Chef ist sehr nett und hat uns bedient, obwohl eigentlich geschlossen war. Andere Gerichte waren auch unglaublich gut !

We picked this restaurant based on reviews. Everyone was right about the brisket. Delish! My son had a burger and I was lucky to get one bite early as it was devoured within 5 minutes. Our daughter had ribs. Those were equally as yummy. And baked beans were top-​notch. We will be back for lunch every year when in Clayton to stop off our children at sleep away camp.

Drive around to the back of the building as the restaurant is tucked away but worth the effort.
Awesome Brunswick stew, note to the owner/​chef: don’t change anything. A new twist on the cole slaw, dried cranberries. Awesome too. Same note to the chef. I have seen so many restaurants get compliments and then start cutting portions or cutting the amt of meat. So just a heads up to keep doing it right. I got the brisket tacos to go, but I expect the same wonderful thought went in to them as well. «I’ll be back»

Wicked portion size! Wicked sides: char roasted sweet potato, barbecued beans with character and onion rings (these last were just okay), a relaxed, down home atmosphere and an excellent looking craft beer selection render this place a first class choice for those visiting this area.

Great little local place in the middle of nowhere! We were driving thru Clayton and Unilocaled for a local place and this was the bomb! Owner/​BBQ Master came out and talked about his products and made some excellent recomendations. I had the brisket tacos and also tried the pork, ribs, Mac and cheese, fried okra, baked beans and pork. It was all awesome. I highly recomend this place!!! It’s nothing fancy so just b prepared to walk back in time and order up at the counter and seat yourself…

My husband said it was possibly the best, if not at least one of the best briskets he’s ever had. He also got the spare ribs and it looked like he got hit by a truck and went to bbq heaven.
I ate some of the sides, cole slaw and mac and cheese. Mac was just ok, cole slaw was really good. Not so mayo-​y.
If you’re nearby, definitely make this a must stop shop.

My husband and I were on our way back from celebrating our second anniversary near Bryson city, nc, and we were getting rather frustrated with the dining offerings that we were passing when suddenly I noticed a barbecue sign… Pointing to a flea market no less.
We swung in, and checked out the reviews online… And review after review extolled the deliciousness of the wicked pig.
They weren’t wrong.
We enjoyed a brisket plate and the brisket burger (we both have a certain… Attraction… To brisket…) and both were exceptional.
Everything from the smoke-​ringed brisket to the Gold Coast wing sauce drenched burger was amazing. Brunswick stew? Killer. Freshly fried okra? Perfect. French-​fries-​with-​the-​skin-​still-​on? Spot on. Homemade sauces (both wing and bbq)? Divine.
If you’re driving by and need a sure thing — pull on in.

This is the second time we have enjoyed the Wicked Pig! The ribs and pulled pork are some of the best we have ever tasted. The beans and brunswick stew are also very good.

The Wicked Pig is awesome. Must try when passing through Clayton. We ordered BBQ sandwich with baked beans and Mac n cheese. The owner even brought us out complimentary ribs to try. Great food, friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Ryan Honey has an excellent flare for good food. We loved telling our bride about The Wicked Pig and tonight another couple a rehearsal dinner at our venue Splendor Mountain. The Beef Brisket was divine, and the sauces scrumptious. Look for the Food Truck all over Rabun County.
