There’s a reason people come back year after year. The cottages are well equipped with all you need except food, foil paper and saran wrap. They are immaculately kept and have Air conditioning, free WiFi, all linens, screened in full length front porches, cable w/HBO, a gas grill and picnic table for each one, plus coffee maker, full stove and fridge as well as a microwave. The property has a built in pool, badminton court, horseshoe pit as well as a shuffleboard court. There is a community fire in the center each night for all guests to enjoy good conversation. The kids can roast smores or marshmallows. There is also free docking for your boat and the sunsets are awesome. In the morning, you can sit outside early with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise or just go sit by the front by the river and listen to the peaceful sound of waves lapping the water, fish jumping or a loon. There is almost always a staff member or more working around the property. Stop in the office for a couple of brochures on area attractions(You have to do the boat trip at least once) or suggestions on what to see or where to eat in town if you don’t want to cook. This place is great. The only drawback is that many times it is hard to get an open cottage. They Do have large and well kept motel rooms as well, with complementary use of the gas grills for guests staying. One suggestion, bring your own food and dry good s you need like paper towels or napkins. There is only one grocery store in town and they are kind of high priced. There are brooms, dustpans, and vacuums for cleaning when you leave. Once you go there, you almost assuredly will want to come back the next year if not sooner.
