We just wanted a light dinner before going home to watch the oscars. Jamie was our waitress-awesome as always. We each enjoyed a wine flight(my husband like the Pick-Axe but I love the Vertical. You can’t go wrong with these 3 de-lish wines. Sunday Eve’s are my fave — not snoozy but quieter than a saturday.

Not quite what we’re used to on this visit. Figured we’d come in for some birthday appetizers. As regulars, we came in at happy hour on the minute of it’s end. We got greeted at 3 minutes after and got denied happy our. Then got a lame excuse from the new assistant in training that«it the chef’s that we’re respecting cause they cook and prep differently for happy hour, however you can order the same food on the regular menu at regular price.» Our server then offered us a happy hour menu to look at and order from but prices will reflect the regular menu… The regular friendly service here has always proven to be exceptional and we’ve experienced ourselves the license other employees have to «bend a bit» for customers. We did order some of our regular favorites and enjoyed them, but our server brought us our silverware and dropped them out of reach on a large table holding the forks from the eating end as she tossed them like one would pick-up-sticks. My friend asked for more water, she came back and filled her glass and left without touching mine which had about an inch left in it. Certainly not our normal experience here but felt a little snubbed on this evening.

A group of about twenty girls bombarded the place Sunday afternoon with no reservation. We were interested in doing a wine tasting during a friends Bachelorette weekend. We sat in the main area and took up most of the seating. A nice gentleman told us there was a private tasting area upstairs we could use since we were such a large party, complimentary. We were so excited and there were just enough seats for everyone. It was beautiful. Stephan was very friendly and introduced us to our guy, Max. Max was very professional among a group of drunk, rowdy girls, but still managed to have a little fun at his own expense. The wine was amazing, as was the food and atmosphere. We cant wait to come back!

Amazing atmosphere, good staff, great wine and food. The portion of foods are generous and were very tasty. I had their beet salad and I would have to say that is the best beet salad I’ve ever had. Very impressive. I sat at the bar and the bartender’s name is Chris who is very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine they have on the menu. Great customer service and great experiences. I will definitely come back here.

I love this place. The décor is comfortable and inviting. I had the filet mignon for dinner and it was prepared superbly. The portions are very adequate, and although a little pricey, worth every cent. The staff are courteous and friendly without hovering. If you’re looking for a nice place to eat in Cle Elum, this is your place.

I wish there was a place like this in Seattle! Swiftwater is a laid back, but fun atmosphere place. There is a huge restaurant as well as a bar and multiple seating areas. During the summer they have a wonderful patio outside overlooking the golf course down the hill. The food is really what to write home about. They start you off with a warm potato tasting bread. You know the soft kind. It’s served with a herbed butter; amazing! Their starters are really fantastic! The clams were delicious, aside from the burnt up bread. The beet salad was also great. The Sea Bass was really good too. It was sweet with a miso glaze on it.(Not fishy whatsoever) The staff is very friendly and used to putting up with people drinking and having fun. They want you to have a good time. Cigars are sold at the bar so you can smoke on the patio! Great for large parties

Came out here on a whim when my day plans changes. Great, cozy lodge feeling. Beautiful views & warm inside. It was empty at the time we were there &a a little tricky to get to. Follow gps closely. Friendly & knowledgable service that seemed well versed in the menu. Loved their Chardonnay & nice accompaniment to my clam chowder. I really LOVED their fried rice balls with local Beecher’s cheese curds inside, so creamy. You can sit in the restaurant, outside patio on nice days, the bar & even in the lobby near the fireplace for a drink or meal. I even loved the bathroom. So glad I came across this listing just outside of Cle Elum. I’d love to try it again.

Had a reservation but they didn’t «have a table for us», so we are still waiting… 45 minutes and counting. Worse than that, the hostess is surly and unapologetic about it. Happy Thanksgiving.

Our last day in WA, and we needed something to do… decided to head east, and looked for a nice place for lunch around Cle Elum. Swiftwater is definitely an oasis in the woods. Situated around a beautiful golf course called Suncadia, this is a very upscale winery, wedding venue and restaurant that I imagine serves as a kind of clubhouse for golf course members. We arrived just after the lunch rush, so the dining room was for the most part abandoned. As a result, we had VERY attentive service without feeling rushed at all. I had the French dip, and my lovely bride ordered the clam chowder. My sandwich was wonderful, covered in caramelized onions and gooey cheese. We had intended on doing a wine tasting too, but got too full from the wonderful lunch! We also had the deep fried risotto balls as an appetizer — breaded fried rice balls with a wonderful Beecher’s cheese curd in the middle! If you’re looking for a nice weekend getaway, definitely keep Swiftwater in mind when near Cle Elum.

Very good service, atmosphere and white wine:) We had wine tasting for 12 dollars. And those amount of wine was enough for one person to get drunk. The view outside is very nice and we may come her when the weather is better like in May. They have a golf course don’t know the price but looks like the good place for spending a weekend with friends.

Another summer, another meal at Swiftwater! It is really terrific. Great ambience, location, food, and exceptional service. Definitely the best dining option at Suncadia. The food was fantastic. We had the kung pao calamari, tuna tartare, fried oysters, sea bass, and steelhead — all fantastic. Wine of course is wonderful(being a winery). We tried a cabernet and a delicious red blend. Service is super attentive. We had a large party and they treated us really well. We even bought some bottles of wine to take home on the way out. I look forward to next year!

The wine flights are reasonably priced, the staff is accommodating, and the property is beautiful. I die for the farmers plate while enjoying outside seating! Yum!

It was our first time visiting the Suncadia area for an extended stay, and we decided on the winery for dinner as it was a Monday and many things are closed in the surrounding cities. What luck for us! We were immediately squeezed in on a busy night in the middle of the dinner rush. The hostess was very personable, letting us know the history of the area and immediately made sure we had water. The waiter came by shortly after; their customer service was exemplary throughout the meal. We ordered the Kung Pao Calamari — we ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture! Great flavor and my 13-year-old liked it a lot — it is her favorite appetizer and we order it almost every time we go out. For our main courses, I ordered the Sea Bass, my daughter ordered the Salmon, and my husband ordered the Rack of Lamb. The Sea Bass was A-mazing! I truly think it was in the top 10 meals of my life! It was soooo good. My daughter enjoyed her Salmon thorough, and the only bummer was the Rack of Lamb. The Lamb itself was good, and would normally get a 4 to 4.5 star, but the sides were pretty yucky unfortunately. The beans were weird and starchy and the greens were overcooked and slimy. But — the rest of the meal was so on par, and I ended up sharing the Sea Bass with my husband, so everyone was very happy. We will definitely be coming back! I could see us driving over the mountains just to have the Sea Bass for dinner one evening!

Pretty good food. My sister’s Cuban sand which was over cooked and dry. The manager was very apologetic and comp’d it so all is fine. My bison burger was good. I like the Carmelites onions on it. Beautiful place. We took a tour of the winery downstairs which was pretty cool. We will be back.

This place is amazing! I came here for my 30th birthday with my husband and baby girl. We had a great time! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. I had a wine flight and then my husband and I split a bottle of rosé. I cannot wait to come back here! I appreciate that they allow children and animals; just as long as they are kept under control.

The food quality, presentation and service can definitely compete with the incredible scenery! We had lunch here this afternoon and the dining room was quiet, which gave us our choice of tables with breathtaking views. Our server was Trevor and I would recommend him when you visit. The girls ordered the Chop Salad, a house specialty, with grilled chicken and it was up to the typically high standard. We ordered the specialty flatbread, topped with grilled shrimp, mushrooms and dried tomatoes and Kalamata olives, which we held off. We also ordered the pear, bacon and brie cheese flatbread. Both were exceptionally good. The girls also tried the specialty martini, featuring peppermint schnapps, vanilla vodka and cream after the mimosas. They have options for gluten free, including a flourless chocolate cake. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food, service, ambiance and scenery are outstanding.

Love this place! The wine is wonderful, the view is amazing and the staff is so helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to come back and eat more food. The appetizers we had with our flights were great. Charcuterie and flatbreads were awesome.
