Highly recommend. Can go casual or «dine.» I had the blackened salmon which was cooked to perfection as was the asparagus. The staple fried pickles and curds were solid and(this is unique in my posts) the coffee is great! Service is great as well. In my experience, there is not a place better in the area.

Very good food and service. Food is simple but done well. We ordered two make-your-own burgers and one prime steak(tonight’s special). Portions were good, meat very juicy, and the fries tender. I’m giving it four stars because although the food was good, it didn’t blow me away. Fast service and friendly staff

So… I was a bit confused at first… there’s a patio, a casual side and a dining side. After we found the side door(of the multitude of doors) to enter the establishment, we chose the dining side since a booth was available. Menus are the same wherever you sit… although a bar is available on the patio, which is a super bonus(I imagine myself wasting hours of my life I’ll never get back… well you know how it goes). On a Friday night, prime rib is the special and SO special that it runs out(so we are told by the SOLDOUT writing on the specials board), but I’ve got a side of beef in my freezer so we opt for the following: one cup of coffee($ 1.75), one Dos Equis($ 2.75), one Poor Man’s Lobster with soup($ 14), one Walleye with seasonal veg and soup($ 15), and Iowa Pork Chop with baked potato and salad($ 16). While the soup and salad were standard fare, we were all quite pleased with our entrees. The cod was cooked to perfection and served on a bed of angel hair pasta(I heart carbs). The walleye was lightly breaded, cooked to just right and served with a side of tartar that was unnecessary but still consumed(I also heart condiments). The pork chop(the last one, we were told) was the size of my face, thick and swimming, literally swimming, in a sea of gravy. A bit on the done side, but still quite flavorful, especially with that gravy that accompanies the potato, bread and, well, a spoon, quite well. Service was extremely attentive and friendly. They did not charge me for my soda water(I know, it’s a small thing, but a source of battiness) and the refills on all of our beverages was constant. I also appreciate the brewing of fresh coffee in the evening for our order. I saw other patrons ordering wine which comes in buckets on stems, so will consider that in the future(but my beer was SO cheap how do I deviate?!). Happy to find an establishment to add to my go-to list for Clear Lake. While it’s not a Michelin Star Restaurant, it’s certainly worth revisiting.

Our family had a really nice meal here. We shared the shoestring onion straws which were lightly battered and tasty. We split the breaded tenderloin sandwich. It was very good. Nicely seasoned breading. It was much thicker than a lot of the pounded out breaded tenderloin sandwiches I have had. Would definitely get this again. Overall a great find as we were driving down I-35.
