Overall ok. Upon checkin the staff member was indifferent. We were given a room on the 1st floor. As soon as I opened the door the overwhelming smell of cat/dog urine hit me! Immediately walked back to the front desk and explained the issue. She said the«1st floor is for people with animals» If you have animals and like the smell of urine request the 1st floor! She gave us a new room, 3rd floor. Room was fine. Not fancy but fine for a wedding weekend stay. Cleaning lady was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was ok. Coffee, packaged pastries, make your own waffles, strange circles of «egg patties» biscuits, gravy, yogurt, cereal, juice. No fresh fruit. Breakfast area is too small for a weekend crowd, people were waiting for seats and the line for food was 15+ people at all times. Pool was nice. Tiles around pool are extremely slick, my daughter exited the pool and fell. Water shoes/flip flops suggested. No restaurants other than mcdonalds and a pizza place close by. No stores other than gas station type close by either. Ate lunch at clear spring diner, typical diner food but we enjoyed our lunch. Considering that clear spring is a small town this hotel is a decent choice as I think it’s the only chain type lodging there.

Room as wonderful, beds firm, blankets clean, my one complaint is the staff person is less than accommodating. I needed a simple bottle opener, and she told me that the hotel doesn’t lend them out any longer because they kept losing them. How ridiculous, they could have charged a $ 5 deposit, or attached them to a wall. It ruins the moment when one wants a cold beer and can’t have one.

This is a great hotel for accessing Whitetail(about 6 miles away). We stayed in a King suite(King bed in one«room», pullout couch in another«room»). It was a good size for my husband, 6-year old son, and me. They have a fridge and microwave and coffee pot, as well as 1TV in each room. They have free wi-fi and an indoor pool.(you might consider bringing your own towels for the pool — hubby said they were like sandpaper,) Breakfast is included: eggs, biscuits, cereal, bagels, donuts, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, juice coffee. Plus the star of the show, Belgian waffles. The breakfast is decent. Hopefully they will make a few changes to the set-up so it doesn’t back-up with folks making waffles. Our room was SPOTLESS. I wanted to take Patsy, the woman who cleaned our room, home with me. We’ll definitely be back — as a matter of fact, hubby & son are on their way there tomorrow

For a 2 star hotel — we had a 5 star stay. We stayed overnight while on a ski trip with our kids to Whitetail. The hotel was clean, the staff very helpful, and it met all our needs. Great indoor pool and hot tub area for post-skiing fun. It also had a laundry area to dry our wet stuff. The room was comfy and clean — including a fridge and microwave. Dinner options near by are limited, but there is pizza place that delivers and a MacDonalds in the same parking lot. Or you can also bring your own stuff. The free breakfast buffet in the morning was more than decent and we had full bellies that lasted us through a morning/afternoon of skiing. For the rate we got through Hotwire — $ 50 during Christmas week — I have no complaints!

Had car trouble and had to limp into the hotel to get new tires the next day. This hotel is nice, clean, and well furnished. I streamed Netflix and got some grad work done in the great desk. The staff is super accommodating if a bit reserved. A great blessing on a day of car trouble. Food options are limited but I ordered pizza delivery. And the rest is great. It’s not a push 5 star but for rest, comfort and utility it’s great.

There really should be factional stars. I’d rate this 2.58. What we have here is your basic, by the interstate, no frills, we take all travelers, motel chain. Clean, yes. Comfy, yes. Basic, yes. You will not find 400 thread count sheets. You will not find that really nice heavy weight wrap around robe that you always covet but the hotel wants $ 250 if you steal it. Your TV is going to work but it’s pretty basic at 35″(at least it’s an lcd and the remote is not hard wired with a cable). There is wifi and no you won’t be able to stream the latest movie because it is SLOW but you can check your email, update Facebook, and tweet that you are having a wonderful time. We ended up here when the interstate was closed due to a snow and ice storm. We snagged one of the last rooms. Other flotsam and jetsam from the interstate wandered in that evening; we saw dogs and kids, bikes and skis, and everyone was in a predictable sour mood. The ice coming down from the sky, the lack of parking places, and the unplowed driveway and parking lot simply added to the hilarity. All in all we got a good nights sleep. The shower, tv, and wifi worked, and we made it to our destination the next day only slightly worse for the wear. Oh yea, I should add that eating options nearby are limited. It’s really saying something when McDonalds is the best bet! We fled in the morning so cannot comment on the breakfast buffet which was laid upon us. I can presume it is your typical motel-by-the-interstate fare. ’nuff said.

We’ve stayed there about 7 times in the last two years. Cons: –The hot tub is disgusting. You can see dirt and scum floating in the bubbles. –The hotel routinely bills you for a room safe, even if you don’t request one. –The breakfast buffet could use some improvements Pros: –Location –Cleanliness of all but the hot tub –Friendly staff –Price –You get a breakfast buffet for less than $ 100/night. –Plenty of parking –Convenient pizza delivery from across the street.
