We visited this location when an Argentinian friend came to visit. I enjoyed that it is a small business, it’s always nice to visit and help out a local family rather than a large company. I got basically a meat platter and it wasn’t bad, the chicken was to die for, but I didn’t care much for the ribs. They really are not too busy of a place, but it seems like they are holding their own. They could use a bit of an update to the flooring and tables, but that’s not a reason to not return.

Everything I’ve had here is delicious, but the empanadas are to die for! Especially the Ham and Cheese! Don’t let the environment fool you… it’s well worth the visit.

Although some native Argentine food tasted like I remember, the restaurant is not as clean as I’d like. Didn’t want to go back.

Great food and good service for a reasonable price. This place is a hidden gem for sure, and respectively so.

Excellent hole in the wall restaurant. Incredible service and the food is authentic. If you enjoy hispanic food this is as good as it gets. Definitely try the empanadas, they’re well priced and very good. The beef and vegetarian are my personal favorites.

Don’t be scared off by this place’s location! Definitely fits the mold of «hole in the wall», but my wife and I were looking for a place to eat after flying into SLC on our way up to Yellowstone and saw the reviews, we just had to give it a try. The menu is very plain and only has a few options, but everything we had was great. There was just the owner there working when we stopped by on a Thursday afternoon for lunch, he seated us, took our orders, and cooked everything for us as well. We each tried three different empenadas and had a side salad. The salad was just some lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, covered in some oil and vinegar, but damn it sure was tasty! You also get a loaf of bread with your order, which was fantastic on it’s own, but dipping it in the oil and vinegar at the bottom of our salads made it all the better. The empenadas were all hand made and the outside crust was light and flaky, cooked just right! If I had to rank the ones we tried I’d say the top three were, 1. Ham and Cheese, 2. Onion and cheese, and 3. Humita, which is corn and cheese.

Hard to find but definitely worth it. Squished between an auto shop and paint store, don’t let the lack of parking in front deter you. The owner was both host, cook, and server. He had an artistic flair and clearly loves to cook, as shown in the beautiful presentations. I tried the beef tongue and was impressed; tender and flavorful, with lovely warm bread. The empenadas were outstanding, with such a large variety that you’ll have to try several at only $ 1.50 apiece. Overall, I’ll have to bring back the rest of my family, such a great place!

If you’re looking for the real taste of a good argentinian bbq this your place. The asado(bbq) here its really good, chimichurri our of the is world and the empanadas maje you feel like you’re been in argentina. After eat remember to order a «mate cocido»(argentinian herbal tea) and you’re experience will be complete. Good food, good service for the right price.

First I should say that I know next to nothing about Argentinian food, which is why we were so excited to find this restaurant! I’m normally a big fan of meat and empanadas, though, so I figured I would love it. Turns out, maybe, not so much? Kid ordered a platter o’ meat, which ended up being the right choice. Husband and I went for a big selection of empanadas so that we could try all the different ones. They looked so pretty, and I wanted to like them so much, but I just did not. The pastry was very crunchy and the filling very wet, and I found the contrast to be really unpleasant. The flavors in the fillings were just too strong for me. Husband ended up finishing most of them, and he enjoyed the meal a lot more than I. Kid did let me sample some of her meat, which was really delicious, and I wished I had ordered that. My favorite part of the meal was the bread and the pickled tongue appetizer. I could have eaten that all night and been happy. The service was also excellent, so I think it just ended up being one of those things where I ordered poorly, and it didn’t suit my personal tastes. This was my first experience with Argentinian food, so until I try it somewhere else, I won’t be sure. I let Family choose the star rating on this one.

Good place, I am convince that it is probably the hardest food to duplicate outside of its native country. The bread is amazing everything feels fresh so that’s a plus milanesas are good Asado needs a little improvement empanadas are good but need more flavor. I do not believe this place will develop much more, but it does help bring memories back,

Being a Miami native, I tend to have a strong familiarity with South American delicacies… few places compare… but… This place was great. Everything is made to order so it may appear to take longer than other places but HELLO! Made to order!!! The chimi was spot on… The empanadas were fresh and super tasty. The house sandwich: WOW. The service is sweet, unpretentious and great. Def. Going to return… yummy!!!

Oh so good. Gnocchi(hope that spelled right) with chicken was good. Brought us bread and it was so fresh. Bought 12 extra empanadas for lunch for the following day. Would recommend. Not as crazy as a menu as expected and if you’re other half isn’t in the mood, they also have pizza, which we didn’t try but looked yummy!

We LOVE this place. The empanadas are just amazing! We have tried them all, but my favorite are the Sweet Onion and Cheese. Inexpensive and delicious! The reason for 4 stars is that there is just ONE cook. If you go on a busy night you are going to wait for a very long time. If they just hired a second cook this place would get a solid five stars from me.

For starters I have never tried any official Argentinian food so I cannot speak to the authenticity of the cuisine, however the food is good and the owner is awesome. I had taken my Spanish students from school here and he always treated us well. The outside is a little rough but don’t let it distract you from the good food and the unique experience.

Great food! I like Argentinian food and here in Utah is very difficult to find authentic argentinian food. The service is a little slow but Jose will make you feel like you are at home. The empanadas are great for starters, try the Humita or the sweet onion & cheese. Overall this is a great place to stop for dinner and support the small business in the community.

I stopped in here years ago while working in slc to get some tea for a guy I worked with who lived in tooele(I live in ogden). This guy served a mission in Argentina and swore by the tea. Only place he could get it in utah. I always wanted to go back and eat here. Anyway I got a job just down the road from here and gave it a try today. I ordered the beef tongue appetizer and one chicken, beef, and ham and cheese empanada. They also gave me a small loaf of bread that was amazing. The perfect crunch on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Putting a piece of beef tongue on the bread was delicious. Beef tongue — this dish was very thinly sliced and was in this amazing vinaigrette. It sounds gross but it is so good. Dipping the bread in the vinaigrette with those spices was delicious. The vinaigrette was made fresh and had the perfect amount of spices and flavor. I don’t order beef tongue at all but I’ve heard it is good, and it is… give it a try! They also put about 2 tablespoons of the potato salad on the side and that was also very good and it made me want more so next time I’ll have to order more of it. Empanadas — the crusts on them were flaky and cooked perfectly. I loved the ground beef and ham and cheese ones but I did not like the flavor of the chicken one. They are quite small so ordering 3 or more is good for lunch. They have vegetarian ones as well. I will go back and and try other dishes. I saw a sign on their wall that said they were voted best bbq but I didn’t see that on the menu, the owner confirmed the do it when I asked. I want to give the bbq a try. They also had pizza and pasta on the menu. I will go back for the bread alone it was so good. Now that I work close to here I can go for lunch more often. The service is a little slow because they have limited staff but that is probably how they stay in business. One additional thing is you can see the kitchen and they keep it clean so that is a huge thing for me. No kitchen nightmares from what I could see.

We love Argentine Corner! This place can be hard to find as it is a tiny place in a dark corner of a small business area between the KWAL paint store on one side and Weston’s emission shop on the other on Main Street in Clearfield, UT. The owner Jose’ and his daughter are wonderful people and always treat us fantastic every time we go to eat in or order take out. They make everything to order so yes, you are going to wait a while for your food. Don’t complain. It WILL be worth it. They have fantastic Milanesa(2 varieties) and their russian potato salad and empanadas are excellent. All of their dishes are authentic and amazing! If you eat in, he will bring you a nice appetizer plate with cheeses, bread and beef tongue that is seasoned perfectly. As other’s have said, we would love to see meatier asado shortribs and less fat on them. Otherwise they are very good. The inside is far from fancy with just standard tables and assorted chairs with a few TVs on usually playing a futbol match or similar. You may say it looks cheap. I say it adds to the charm of the place and is what you would find in any little shop like this in Argentina.

I Like it! A little rough on the outside clean and relaxing on the inside. I Sampled a couple empanada’s and really like them, smaller than I’m used to but for 1.50 each they were worth the price, plus I needed the room for the huge churrasco plate the guy brought out next. Like most Argentines they have a huge Italian influence and the pictures of their pizzas looked really good. The guy that ran the place told me he makes his Gnocchi daily from scratch plus serves several other pastas(not from scratch) will have to give those a try next time.

This place is awesome. Not sure how much longer this place can stay in business? Every time we go we are the only ones there eating. Great food every time, always tastes fresh, and delicious.
