First rule of Pam’s Grounds for Coffee in Clearfield is: Don’t be rude to Pam. Second rule of Pam’s Grounds for Coffe in Clearfield is: Don’t be rude to Pam! Kidding aside, Pam and her staff are all great people and they treat you right! This location of Grounds for Coffee is a great little place and is decorated like you were sitting in someone’s kitchen or breakfast area at home. Lots of funny coffee-related signs and knick-knacks everywhere and a procession of coffee mugs of all shapes and sizes trace a line around along the top of the wall all the way around the place. Indoor and Outdoor seating is available which is great in the summertime! Plenty of fresh baked pastries, cookies, etc. daily and their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic! Of course, the main reason for coming here is the coffee and they do it right here! Anything from the daily brew to specialty espressos and lattes! The energy drink smoothies are a favorite of mine as well! Stop on by and say hello to Pam and the cast of regulars!

Love love love love love this place. Owner is sweet as pie, her homemade broccoli cheese soup on Mondays is what dreams are made of. She has a vegan meal and dessert every day and you can use wifi, purchase whole coffee beans, and eat delicious desserts or smoothies. Yum. Just yum. Décor could be updated but not gross or anything.

Pam and her staff at this location are fantastic. She is always willing to go out of her way to ensure you are happy with the drinks or food served. I work nearby and enjoy coming over to a place where there people smile and know who I am. Is this place Starbucks? No, but on a similar note, who wants to go to McDonald’s when you could have a home cooked meal from mom? If you’re in town stop by.

I seriously have to tell you that this is one of the most amazing breakfast places in the top of Utah. The omelettes are amazing with wheat toast or nine grain bread. they also have no bake cookies made with the oatmeal and coconut and chocolate that are to die for even though I can have them anymore I do drool when I see them. I love the local flavor of the place and Pam does a marvelous job with customer service with her employees and herself

Horrible place. I worked there and was ashamed. The kitchen in the back is filthy! Food on the walls and on the fridge, sink water was cold and dirty just in order to save a few bucks, and watch«vegans»! All of the same food is prepared on the same nasty sandwich board-meat, eggs and so on. Mold was wiped off of the top of some food before it was put in the display case. The back room smells like and looks like and ashtray. Beware. Not as it seems.

I stopped into this coffee shop after seeing the Unilocal reviews, and I wish I hadn’t. I ordered a Mocha, and it came in a terrible flimsy generic cup that looks like it came from Costco. The atmosphere was generic and uninspired and I would never want to spend time there. The food in the pastry cases looked questionable at best, like it had been there for several days. I was seemingly a huge imposition to the only employee on staff who apparently had to help me. I asked the barista about their beans, and the response was tragic. «Oh, we get them from some place in Salt Lake.» I definitely expect a local coffee shop to be able to tell me a bit more about their product than the answer I would receive at any fast food restaurant. After paying for my drink I headed back out on the road ready to enjoy my beverage on my journey. The drink was terrible, and totally undrinkable. I tried a few sips and ultimately deposited the cup, drink in tact, in the garbage can of the Starbucks several exits ahead. I would definitely not recommend this coffee shop to anyone with taste buds. I have had better coffee from 7 – 11, or the free coffee at car dealerships. This was terrible and no one should have to drink it. For anyone who gave this coffee shop rave reviews I think you may need to try coffee from a good coffee shop, because Grounds For Coffee definitely does not serve good coffee. I would be embarrassed to serve the product I received.

The great part about Grounds is each one has a different style. I typically frequent the on 25th as well as Layton’s. I was no less impressed with this place. The owner is really nice and cares about her customers. The decoration is unique and gives the space personality. There’s a couch in the corner that is so comfortable, you’ll never want to get up. When it’s nice outside, you can lounge out front and talk with the regulars. It’s definitely unassuming from a distance, as the exterior is somewhat bland. The inside is what counts though, and I’ve had some delicious coffee here(and food). Dates, business meetings, or just a pick me up – pretty much any reason is a good reason to come to Grounds at Clearfield. Don’t delay.

Rarely do I give a place 5 stars, but I feel that this place deserves it! I went there for the first time yesterday with a friend who tends to be dramatic in describing how good food is, and for the first time, she actually hit the nail on the head. First of all, the service was great, Pam(the owner) was so nice and welcoming and treated me like she has known me my entire life. And the food, oh the food… how I love thee, let me count the ways… lets start with the meat lovers quiche. The crust was flakey, the meat wasn’t overwhelming, it was fresh, the eggs didn’t taste like reheated crap. The wild rice and mushroom soup was heaven. I also got a salted caramel chocolate brownie, and I expected it to taste like a brownie mix, but no… that square of heaven was absolutely mind blowing.
