Obviously this an update to my last review. Being that it was a Father’s Day dinner and all. Brad immediately greeted us with a smile. He came and shook my hand immediately and made me feel good about being a father. That was definitely appreciated. Our time there was great. Jimmys did a Father’s Day special for there guests with kids. I thought that was awesome because everyone does things for moms day but dads day is not always shown to be as important. I was craving crab, oysters and fresh seafood so I ordered the Seafood Martini which usually is an appetizer for two people but I ate it as my meal it was delicious. I really don’t know what everyone else had because I was too in tuned to my dish. It had Oysters, Crab legs, Ahi tuna, and all the fixings to come with fresh seafood. Delicious. At sunset they offer drink specials for everyone to enjoy the beautiful time. As many times as I been there I’ve never seen the sunset. It’s usually way before or after the sun goes down that I’m there. I had fun dancing with my daughters with the one man band playing. Brad made sure the kids drinks were full and was just a great guy to all of us. Thanks for making dads day a memorable day for me.

One of our favorites. Beautiful water views great food, music and reasonably priced! Bartender Brad makes the best drinks and very personable! The fish spread, oysters and clams are yummy!

The bartender, Brad, was phenomenal. He went out of his way to fix our drinks and made the kids more than happy with crazy pickle requests. Made our stay 10x better!!!

Kind of an odd location(the back of a Holiday Inn) but it is on the water… There was a new menu item — chicken and waffle sliders. They came with a jalapeño gravy and syrup. Wow. They were awesome.

We ate here twice while on vacation, mainly because of its proximity to where we were staying. The wait staff was very friendly, but the food was just so-so and pretty overpriced. I added shrimp to my salad for $ 5.95 and it came with 4 measly shrimp on top. The tropical drinks were good and the setting was one of the best– overlooking the water.

Avoid this place. The epitome of a tourist trap –good location and catchy name but poor service and food a notch below Applebee’s. There are so many better places in Clearwater. The salad came out of the bag and the pizza seemed like it was frozen.

It’s a really cute place with a fun atmosphere, but their food isn’t great. I ate it all because it’s pretty expensive too. Not really what I was expecting taste wise.

Came here for Clearwater restaurant week and the only good thing about it was the sunset views. We tried a bunch of their food — lobster bisque, bonsai shrimp, red snapper, pasta, and fried cheesecake — everything was just meh. We spoke to the manager about our issues and although he was apologetic, he didn’t seem to care and didn’t do anything about it. Plenty of great restaurants at the beach, skip Jimmy’s.

Good food, had crab cakes and a burger and everything was as it should be. Waitresses are a little gruff but bartender Brad was awesome. Atmosphere is nice with a great outdoor deck.

The server who seated us was very rude when we requested a decent seat on the patio. Our waiter was very nice, got us plenty of refills. The crab cakes app and drinks were honestly the only good parts of the meal. Food took forever, and while the sirloin and stuffed shrimp were good, the Parmesan crusted snapper should be called snapper with melted cheese on top. The vegetables had so much water my whole plate had a layer. Overall, service was so-so and food was less than average.

Well. this was disappointing. I had 1 mission here and 1 mission only. Seafood martini. The presentation was good but the taste, not so much. The seafood martini comes with crab legs, ahi tuna, oysters, and shrimp. Everything was a bit dry and the oysters were not too great. The crab cake starter was good the first 2 bites and then it got really salty. I couldnt eat it anymore. The calamari was different. It was still breaded like any other place, but the way it was prepared was different. instead of sitting dry on a plate, it sat in a balsamic reduction which actually tasted ok. Our service was also not too great. We gave our server a «pass» just cause we figured it could’ve been his first restaurant gig ever and he was a much older gentleman so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. Right before we ordered our food, I asked if we could have separate bills. He responded with, «Well, thats gonna suck.» Haha. We also asked for crackers for our crab legs and never got that so we used forks and knives to bang the crabs to get the meat. Two good things about this place, great view and great bloody mary’s.

What’s not to like? Great view, friendly staff, fabulous cocktails, and the margarita flatbread pizza was yummy! TVs all over so we could watch the final 4. We will be back!

This place is awful. Service took forever in a half empty dining room and when the food finally came, half of it was cold or had obviously been sitting on the line for some time. I can’t even comment on the food itself because I sent back my «hurricane burger», which arrived on rye bread that was crispy on top and soggy to the point of falling apart on the bottom. I didn’t end up ordering anything else because at that point we had been there for over 2 hours. The piña colada was missing the rum floater… twice, though it was pretty good and came with a coconut rim. That alone is the sole reason for a second star. I felt bad for the waiter who was trying his best to do his job in spite of a clearly disorganized kitchen and lack of management. Save your money for somewhere else. There’s tons of other good places to go in Clearwater.

The success of this venue depends entirely on its location, which is vastly beneficial in that 1. it’s attached to a popular hotel and 2. the patio enjoys really gorgeous views. I’m not sure if my server was new or just entirely disorganized. Since the server experience can be highly variable from visit to visit, I’m not going to dwell too much on that. But the server wanted my drink order and I’d pointed out that we never got a cocktail menu. It seems like the whole restaurant has only one or two of those and she had to go find it. My wife ordered one of the house special cocktails, which wasn’t strong at all. She’s a serious lightweight, so for her to have a whole cocktail and remain entirely sober stands testimony to her assessment. Usually one cocktail is enough to get her«in the buzz zone». The second drink she ordered, a simple vodka with cranberry juice, was described as «strong» and had the expected effect. The first beer that I ordered appeared to be one of their year round draught choices from their laminated menu. The server came back and told me that it was a seasonal beer and they didn’t have it. They didn’t have a printed beer list that was up to date, and she didn’t know what was on draught off the top of her head, so we muddled through it and I settled. The food… this is where it gets bad. I ordered the«all you can eat» grouper and fries. I couldn’t finish my first plate of it, and the stuff I did eat I had to drown in lemon juice and tartar sauce to get down. This tasted like it had been packaged in China, deep frozen, and left in its Han Solo state for an extended period before being microwaved a little too long to end up as a gamey rubbery mess on my plate. The server kept asking if I wanted her to put in another plate for my all-you-can-eat, but with 1⁄3 of it left of the first serving abandoned on my plate, I’d definitely already past that point… with regrets. One of my kids got a grilled cheese and fries. How do you screw up a grilled cheese? I don’t know how, but they did. The bread seemed like government issue bread, and I don’t know what they were using as a stand-in for butter(margarine, maybe?) but the whole thing was super greasy and had a taste not unlike what I’d imagine industrial surfactants might impart on the palate. They did have a great view of the sunset, and a nice little ceremony to count down to it and celebrate. Since my hotel room overlooks their patio, I’ve gotten a good sampling of their live music that they have every night. The weeknights are basically comprised of any jabroni who will get in front of a mic for a pittance and make sounds happen. I guess every musician has to start somewhere. Friday night the quality of the music went way up, and I enjoyed the sounds of reggae from my balcony. If you stay in the adjoining hotel, kids eat free. That would normally be a nice incentive, but in this case it sounds like a terrible punishment. Check it out if you must, but there’s this great little taco joint a short walk down the street which I love…

Let’s call it a 2.5 rounded up to a three star. Why? Because it’s average at best. It’s a decent waterfront bar with a great view of the sunset located on Clearwater Beach –as part of the Holiday Inn property. Wednesday night they offer half-price burgers which makes it a pretty good deal. Other than that consider the food average. Breakfast was served by a great friendly, competent staff. But again, sadly, the food was only average –lacking in real flavor profile. they make up for the flavor in quantity, if that’s any consolidation.

Best bang for the buck breakfast on the beach. Every meal we had we were impressed. Only thing missing is the Starbucks.

Restaurant bar /grill … I ate here because I’m staying at the holiday inn attached. Fairly crowed for a late Sunday night(730). It took about 15 minutes to be seated. Lots of tables available but only 4 servers and a bar tender The inside is supposed to be smoke free but the bar sits right in between the inside /outside portion of the place so smoke goes both ways. Once seated the manager came over to get my drink order because my server, Josh had to take a room service order up to a room. Josh was busting ass to take care of me and other customers. Bar drinks were made with a heavy hand. Very nice. Food was average. I ordered ribs and they were ok but when served they were covered and I mean covered in scallions which I had to scrape off. Vegetables were fresh and cooked well. The salad was great and the warm bread they served was delicious. The atmosphere was crazy. I felt like I was on the set of Jersey Shore. College kids or mid twenties guy with their shirts off being very loud and obnoxious. There was a DJ there playing Caribbean type of music and TVs were on with football so it was very loud. Something tells me a day time visit would yield better results.

The staff was not very welcoming. The fish nuggets were delicious and well fried but small portioned for price the Margarita Shrimp: Large, turdfilled P&E shrimp, sprinkled with Old Bay, and a cup of Cocktail Sauce. The menu reads so much more. My beer was cool at best. Not a spot for me.
