Stayed here with a bunch of friends for a birthday weekend. First the place is gorgeous. The view from the room is spectacular. The room is about average I would say except that there is keurig and couple bottles of water in the room. This is great until I realized that it was because we paid a 25 dollar per person resort fee, which so far only looks to be for towel service. The service is great and started with a complementary mimosa upon check in. There is pool service but the bar is very slow. I think we waited 15 minutes for two drinks.

My husband and I went 2 days ago to celebrate my birthday. It was the worst $ 625 ever spent! The experience was subpar, at best. He booked an 80 minute couples massage and a custom facial for me. It was the worst massage I’ve ever had, she literally just rubbed lotion and oil all over my body. He paid an extra $ 25 for a «hot stone» massage and she literally placed them on my body and just rubbed lotion over me with her hands instead of massaging me with the stones he paid for. I asked her to increase the pressure and use the stones, but to no effect, she just kept rubbing oil on me the entire looooooooong 80 minutes. My shoulder and everything else I hoped to get massaged out for my birthday still hurts. The facial was just ok, a little rough. At least I got my neck massaged instead of just rubbed with oil like the«masseuse» did. Here is where it just went from bad to completely unacceptable: When I finished and went to the desk to wait for my husband, the woman who checked us out exclaimed, «We have some parting gifts for you, the therapist brought out some things you liked!», looking surprised like this never happens! There were 2 baskets full of products and she went on, «…that you said you were interested in». Wait, what? I never said a word about being interested in anything, I mentioned that the oil smelled good to my facialist. I told her I wasn’t interested. And the HARDSELL begins!!! Instead of putting the baskets away when I told her I didn’t want anything, she leaves them on the counter and lays into my unsuspecting hubby when he walks up…”…Parting gifts… blah blah blah”. Feeling pressured, he was about to buy the $ 1,300 worth of products when I finally had to just say, «No, Just pay the $ 625 and let’s go salvage the rest of our day». Just wow, I have been to spas all over the country and abroad and, of course, they encourage spa patrons to buy things, but I have NEVER had an experience like that. I probably wouldn’t have cared if the services had been even satisfactory, but it was just rude and unprofessional. The icing on the cake was leaving and waiting 35 minutes for the valet to get our car. When my hubby asked some kid about the car, he was like, «I’ll go get it now». This hotel can’t even get the basics right. It was a big waste of our time and money and we will NEVER go there or recommend it to our out of town guests. My hubby had smoke coming out of his ears, but I just made up a corny song in the car and made him laugh. Life is short and there are plenty of other spas and hotels to worth spending our time and money on. Be warned.

Wow. Our party of 14 came for girls weekend to celebrate the life of our sister, whose battle with breast cancer will soon come to an end. The staff has been ABSOLUTELY amazing. Our sister has been showered with attention and such warm care. We all have been treated like royalty. I think sometimes on Unilocal it’s easy to post criticisms because you never see staff as people, just staff. The«staff» here has proven they are not just employees, but compassionate people with warm hearts. Thanks to everyone from the valet to the front desk!

Just what I needed to prepare to head back to the cold New England temps next week… a massage and facial. Thank you Christina you are the best!

Gave me a 50 min instead of 90min massage. One of the pricier spas ive visited, actually make that the most expensive. For the service i wasnt impressed considering the prices. My gf got a pedicure that was like $ 100 and took ten minutes and was average at best.

Very polite staff, very pretty but small co-ed hot tub room, steam shower to use after your treatment. Facial was great. Prices are outrageous. I have paid less at much better appointed, more luxurious spas. A good idea if you are at the hotel and the convenience makes the price worth it.
