Windward is a great place to drop in and grab a bite. It’s a very quaint venue that appears to have a strong following of locals. Don’t be afraid to drop in and give it a try.
My party of three had the buffalo shrimp appetizer and it was really good. We ordered a pizza with“light” cheese and black olives and a stromboli. Wow. The pizza was prepared as requested and very good. The stromboli was over the top. The thing is massive. Stuffed with cheese — meats — great marinara — and perfectly cooked. Just do it.
The bar is very well stocked with liquor. I was in a beer mood on this particular visit. The beer selections here need a few more choices. The closest thing I could get to an amber was a Yuengling. Albeit my waitress was timely, efficient, and also easy on the eyes, she needed more knowledge about beer in general. The wine list looks pretty decent considering the scale of the venue.
I like the way the bar and seating is laid out. Its clean, simple, and has an easy going vibe going on. A couple a televisions keep you up to date on the sports scene in the background. There are also outdoor tables available.

The pizza is awesome but the menu is packed with variety. Great neighborhood joint where all the locals hang daily. Outstanding service. Gotta check this place out.

We came here on a Tuesday mid-​morning for lunch and while the service was great, the food was also good but we all felt the the menu exaggerated the item descriptions in regards to how they actually were. The fish tacos, for example; the mahi mahi was FABULOUS, but needed more than a teaspoon of cabbage chunks to qualify as rice-​wine slaw and they didn’t come with sour cream as described, they had almost no cheese or anything other than a strip of mahi. The chips and salsa was four tortilla chips on the side. So, while the food was good, it was a bit disappointing compared to what we expected. The service was wonderful though, which makes up for a lot.

The best part of the trip to Clearwater. We stopped in just to ask directions. The lady behind the bar was so friendly we decided to stay. Had a great lunch and the service was great and very friendly.

I’ve been there a few times, since it is within walking distance from our condo in Florida. Each time I order something with chicken, the chicken is tasteless and rubbery. This last time, I even ordered blackened chicken… Tasteless. Plus, the salad was not cold, nor crisp and the salad dressing warm.

Was visiting friends in Clearwater Beach on New Years weekend. My buddy said he heard good things about this place, so we went, twice. The menu is not extensive, but everything we tried was awesome. Ahi tuna appetizer and meatball appetizer were awesome. Great salads, awesome service. If I lived there, I would be a regular. It’s also on the trolley stop.

We started with Bloody Marys, which were served to us with only a wedge of lime! But the table seated after us got a lime, lemon, and 4 olives…
We decided to order Ahi Tuna, which was delicious, as well as blackened scallops – bacon wrapped, and ONLY 3 FOR $ 15.99!!! WOW, can we say overpriced?
Waitress never came back to our table. Only took our order and brought us mediocre, plain Bloody Mary’s. Another waitress brought our food.
The table seated after us was checked on 3x, while no one saw to us!!! We are still waiting for a check! It’s been 20 min. Since we finished… there will be no tip.
Final question I pose to myself: would I come back? NO

We just bought a house in Clearwater and are totally psyched that this will be are neighborhood bar and grill. People are so friendly and there are games on all the time. Happy hour starts at 11 am so enough said… Super kid friendly, there were a bunch of families eating lunch when we first came in and each dish was a pleasant surprise. You can tell they put extra thought and effort into each dish prepared. Pizza as good as anywhere, fish tacos so full of meat and seasoned perfectly with blackening/​Cajun seasoning, great burgers, killer quesadilla, mouthwatering buffalo shrimp, and we always try their daily specials no matter what they are. (Ipswich fried clams fav so far) Hope to see you all there, you won’t be disappointed. I don’t write many reviews so cheers!

Just stopped in for a couple of beers, the server was very nice, didn’t have any food, but the burgers did look amazing, I can understand why the reviews are so fantastic for them!

Ran across this local joint last night and glad we did. The bartenders were awesome as well as the food. Taco Tuesday — the fish tacos were delicious highly recommend. We also ordered the Hawaiian pizza which was delicious as well. Can’t wait to go back!

Great place right across from Clearwater Aquarium. Dropped my daughter off at camp and enjoyed a great lunch. The buffalo shrimp and bacon scallops are AMAZING! Great homemade salsa. Reasonably priced.

Best Buffalo shrimp! Fun atmosphere, delicious drinks. Fantastic service — one of my favorite places on the island!

Right across the street from aquarium! Went for lunch with kids. Great play for kids. Small, some out Dow setting. As an out of towner looking for pizza for the kids, this is a great place. Got a burger for the wife and I. Need tap beer.

Modern décor with great Jazz playing. Long bar with a couple of huge TVs tuned to the Golf Channel.
Indoor table seating for 24 – 28 people.

Stromboli had decent flavor, but was burnt. We were hungry enough we didn’t send it back. Pepperoni had great flavor and the pizza sauce served with was quiet good.

The worst burger ever created. Shrimp was over cooked, and the sauce was bad. The tip I left was to the poor waitress who has to deliver that food. Whom ever gave that crap more than a 1 has to be employees or family.

Boated in to the docks by Island Way Grill and walked over to Windward, approx. 10 in our group. Staff quickly set up a table for all of us and was attentive to our needs! Drinks (happy hour) were $ 2.25 and $ 4 (beer/​wine/​liquor) they have everything and affordably priced.
Food orders: Grilled Romaine salad ($ 5.99); 10 wings ($ 9.99) and an awesome pizza (Philly Cheesesteak) for ($ 15.99) — all happy hour priced as well!
I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem in the Island Estates area.
