Bayside Cafe & Grill

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant. It’s clean and the service and food are amazing.
My husband and I went for breakfast with our kids and we really enjoyed it. They give you so much food, and the toast is so good! I had the Country Sausage Benedict which I loved and my husband had a Bayside Omelette. They have a great kids menu which comes with kids drink at no extra charge. BTW the kids portions were way more than we expected and very affordable!
We recommend this place to everyone. I noticed that all the positive reviews written on Unilocal are hidden, that’s a shame since this place is new and a great little gem.
We will be back for sure. especially for the Buy on get one ½ off Gyro pitas we saw advertised on their window! See you soon Bayside Café!

Nothing special. Way better places around with home cooking. No homemade sweet tea… strike one for this southern girl. Chicken soup claimed to be homemade but was junk and questionable as to whether it was even homemade. They better rethink some things if they are going to make it. To be fair the gyro was good, not skimpy on the meat.

I went to this place because I found the «Grand Opening» coupons in my mailbox… I’m confused about that though as it seems to have been open for quite a long time.
The food… I went for breakfast and ordered their steak and eggs, steak rare, eggs over medium, they couldn’t get anything right… The steak was a pitiful strip of shoe leather that was SO full of gristle as to be barely edible, and I would have classified it as ‘well done’ NOT the rare I had asked for! The eggs… I’ve been ordering over medium eggs for nearly 40 years, and these are definitely the worst I’ve gotten… I like to use my egg yolk as a ‘steak sauce’ but I was unable to, because my over medium eggs were so overcooked the yolk was hard! FYI, over-​medium eggs means the whites are done but the yolk is runny.
The service… Not so great at all, I think there were only two ladies working and both were up at the register trying to figure something out on it and I sat there for nearly 15 minutes before one of them came over with a menu and took my drink order. Also, she seemed quite ‘miffed’ that I had a coupon. Meanwhile I’m observing the restaurant and notice that there is only one other occupied table in the place… I noticed that the lady at that table had been trying to get the waitresses attention for quite some time for more coffee… I don’t think she ever got it. So anyway, it took me quite a while to choke down the steak, and quite a Herculean effort to cut the thing as it was so tough and full of gristle. The waitress only returned to my table one time to refill my coffee… By this time I think the other table had given up on ever getting any more coffee as they had left, and appeared quite disgusted.
The checkout. To add insult to injury I had to wait nearly 10 minutes at the register (last customer in there mind you…) while the lady tried to figure out how to take the percentage off of my ticket from the coupon… Wow!
NEVER going back!
The ONLY thing this place had going for it was it’s closeness to my house… Too bad.

I’m not one to take time to write reviews, but after eating here today, I must encourage others to give them a try. I had the best florentine benedict I have ever tested! Everything was fresh. a find like this gem needs to stick around… go try it. The people are welcoming and our server was friendly and attentive.
