After the evaluation, I was told my children needed a filling and asked to sign consent for sedation and restraints(mandatory fir the 3 year old and add needed for the 9 year old). I requested to be in the room of they are sedated and restrained. Dr. Blake then came in the room and said that it was office policy for parents to NEVER be allowed in the treatment room(even though they have private rooms available). He was pleasant until I said is in law school, but he quickly changed and then said he wouldn’t treat my children because of my request and refusal to sign consent form restraints without first being told. I told him it was unprofessional to not tell a patent ahead of time that we would not be allowed to be with our children especially in the light of the recent local dentist that has been charged with abusing children who were sedated. He got very ugly. I then requested he not charge my insurance so I could take the kids to another dentist and get treatment without waitimg 6 months. He told me he Would charge me for the evaluation and told me to get out of his office. Wow! Horrible experience!

Do not take your child to see this dentist for any reason. The hygienist made several rude, negative comments about my child that led to us getting into an argument. She then proceeded to tell me to shut up and stepped about 4 inches from my face and put her finger in my face as if she was about to hit me. I asked her, «What? Are you about to get physical?» When I tried to leave the doctor grabbed me by my arm and wouldn’t let go of me. I told him about 5 times to get his hands off my body. After he let me go, he blocked the door and wouldn’t let me leave. Please note there was not any reason what so ever to put his hands on me or to block me from leaving the office. NONE. I called the police on him once I got out of the office. I am now in the process of filing complaints with several government entities.

I went to this dentist twice as a kid. I went most of my childhood with a mouthful of fillings, stainless crowns, and pain from my first visit. Then just before I got off my mother’s insurance she took me back to him. I recognized him but my mother didn’t realize it was the same guy. When I walked in I had no pain at all and no outward signs of cavities. When I left, every single tooth in the back of my mouth(top and bottom, 20 teeth) had at least one filling and 7 have cheap stainless steel caps which were cut in a hurry and even then you could see my teeth under them. My teeth were so sensitive that it took me years to be able to chew right even though as I said, I went in with no pain at all. After one of the teeth broke in half(it was almost completely hollowed out with the drill) I went to a much better dentist in NYC and had some xrays done that showed that there was a huge gap in between my teeth where there was no crown to cover but I couldn’t get to with floss. So a root canal, crown, and $ 2500 later I find out that my suspicions were correct, this guy practices«volume dentistry» which means he doesn’t make much per procedure so he does as many procedures as he can, as fast as he can. My mouth that had no drill holes in it when I got to him both times was a little gold mine. I didn’t need most of the work he did and there unfortunately is no undrill button. My teeth are just wrecked for life so he could make his pay that day. As far as the visit itself, as you can imagine, having 20 teeth drilled into in a hurry was not a pleasant experience. I was drugged to the max, pumped full of lidocaine, and inhaling nitrous oxide and I was still in a ton of pain. This guy doesn’t deserve one star. He’s one of maybe 4 things in my entire life I would have done differently if I had the chance to go back and do it over again.
