Gibraltar Coins & Precious Metals

I almost did not go into Gibraltar based on the posted review. Luckily I did! I encountered a very knowledgable and customer friendly staff who assisted me with patience and answered my questions with straight talk. I will be back.

I have been shopping at Gibraltar Coins for well over a year, as per a recommendation from my father who also buys precious metals. Gibraltar was my first choice in buying Gold and Silver Bullion, but sadly the management has become terrible.
In all honesty, I have spent over 15k at this establishment and have always been friendly to the staff. I have also brought other fellow precious metals investors, that have spent another 5k at LEAST.
Gradually I have noticed that they do not provide good customer service at all. You are not a customer there, you are just a number. I do not claim to be their best customer, but when asking for their quotes and why they were charging a $ 100.00 premium on a quarter of an ounce BULLION coin, they got very nasty.
As per their charts, the price was cheaper the day before, with gold being UP that day. I came in on a down day. and the same gold coin was 80.00 more expensive… and gold was down $ 50.00. I understand the need for premium increases, and that was fine but I am also entitled to ask as to why, without having the sales person be nasty and rude.
Simply put: This is NOT a one time experience… this has happened SEVERAL times, but this was just the straw that broke my back. I will be taking my business elsewhere. to a business that actually appreciates it, and will build a relationship with their customers… NOT treat them like a number. I suggest dearly that you do the same, as you are spending a lot of money on these investments.
