They get 2 stars because the technician showed up on time and was professional. Apparently, however, they want $ 650 – 750 to replace an existing garbage disposal. LOL. I did it myself in about 10 mins for $ 149. Just be careful because these people might try to overcharge like crazy. From what I have seen, however, the technicians do good work and all the work they do is usually covered by warranty. I probably would have hired them for work on other properties but that one experience I had with them was too negative.

I hope I have never to do business again with these people, what a rip off in order to cancel the account. Not only that their water meter fees are insane as they never go precise. With me you have a big fat zero. To pay 111 dollars just to close an account that wasn’t even past due.

If I could rate them «0» I would. It took me between 9am to 5pm to schedule the tech to come out. After speaking with 3 different people the tech called me only to say he was at the property earlier but that he had left because another person canceled my appointment. This someone was internal and didn’t know what she was doing.
Finally, the tech came. Nice guy but had no executive command over the situation. He did what his seniors told him to do. He called me after finding out what seemed to be the problem. He fixed what he saw and the problem was fixed… or so we thought.
The next day I get a call from my tenant who said the power is still faulty. I called Midway again and asked if they could come back and address the problem they supposedly fixed and which I paid $ 300 for. They said they wouldn’t come out. I was shocked.
I thought the person who told me «no» to coming back out was mistaken so I checked with the tech. He said the same thing. Furthermore, he said I’d have to pay again for them to come out again.
I was furious and went with another company who solved the problem, charged me half of what Midway charged and who has 12-​month warranty.
Midway struck me as an upstanding company with their marketing but their service is nowhere near the image they portray. It’s a sad truth.

Beware! I called Midway because my AC was acting up, possibly due to an electrical issue. They came out, ran a couple of tests, said all was well, and left. The next day, my brand new AC died. Another company came out and determined I had some faulty wiring, to the point of a fire hazard. Number 1: why didn’t Midway catch a fire hazard? Number 2: if they had caught the issue, my 5 month old AC wouldn’t have fried. Very negligent and I’m infuriated that they essentially stole the service call fee, put my family in danger, and cost me a new AC compressor.

Plumbing work is expensive! However, the service/​value we received from Midway Services was awesome.
When a washer was delivered to our home, we discovered that the taps had frozen and there was no way to install. A plumber was needed. We had worked with Midway in the past, so we called them. The technician was very professional and offered us a couple of options. Excellent workmanship, we were very happy with the results.
Unfortunately, even though we had spoke to the tech about a $ 25 coupon we had received, we forgot to give it to him. We did not discover this until the tech had left. The next morning I called Midway and told them about the coupon. Voila – a check in the amount of $ 25 arrived a couple days later. Midway did not have to do this, but it was very much appreciated.

Shoddy work. WAAAYYY over priced and unprofessional. It cost me more to fix the damage done to my cabinets when their worker didn’t connect a hose properly. Hello? you’re plumbers, hose connection should be Plumbing 101!!!
I will NEVER use the place again. The absolute rudest people work here. Not worth my time, NOT getting my money.

I guess I am still in a state of shock — and kicking myself, too. I paid this company almost $ 500 to install (my own) bathroom sink faucet, put up a shower bar, and replace a valve on the toilet. Can somebody tell me what is wrong with me? I was so frustrated with other companies not showing up and decided to call Midway as I had seen their ad in the Shepard’s Guide (a Christian business). I can’t believe how horrible I feel — yes, the plumber told me up front this cost and I signed the paper but if there was some way I could take it back… what a complete idiot I was to pay this company that price — robbery and rape — that’s how I feel… incredible…people, do yourself a favor and don’t call this company unless you want to pay $ 40 just to have them come to your house and then be ripped off. Oh my gosh — I am truly beside myself. Never, ever, ever will call this company again…

Wow, very expensive, came, was here 5 minutes, told me I could replace the Fawcett for 650.00. or he could fix it but it will leak for 187.00. I said let it drip, so he changed the aerator and charged 187.00. For real an aerator was clogged, 187.00 to change it.

Just had Midway in to do a lot of electrical work and just had to write a review because I was so impressed. John D. was very professional, respectful and has excellent workmanship. Even when he encountered problems along the way with the previously shoddy work by the builder, he persevered until it was done — and did it right. John had to rework some wiring and mount 2 tvs, hiding the wiring within the walls, and did an amazing job! No harm to the walls at all. He was clean and neat, and I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend Midway and John D.

MID-​WAY TOO EXPENSIVE:
Called them for an issue with irrigation pump. They demanded and I paid $ 40.00 for visiting the property and checking on the issue. The plumber came and checked the pump. I was not available at the property and hence we had telephone conversation. He was very cordial. He checked the pump and said it is beyond repair and would need a replacement and gave me an instant quote. We talked about couple of options and I wanted to seal the pump and run reclaimed water.
For laying the pipe for the reclaimed water the plumber gave a quote for $ 1200.00 and in case I wanted to replace the pump he gave a quote for $ 1300.00. I thought the price was too high and got his manager’s number and called him, His manager also repeated the same. I asked him is he serious on giving me a price of $ 1300.00 for laying a 40 feet pvc pipe, he answered in the affirmative and went on a big sales talk on their work and the company being insured and bonded.
After this I started looking around, I had a well expert and three plumbing companies visit the property (NO VISITING CHARGES). Finally selected a company to remove the irrigation pump and install reclaimed water line. Paid only $ 350.00 and got new pipe laid, repaired broken sprinklers and passed city inspection. By the way the well pump expert gave me a quote for $ 950.00 to replace the pump and repair sprinklers.
Lost $ 40.00 to Midway and gained nothing. Check other companies before you commit. Way too expensive.

These were the people I used to run plumbing for my new washer and install the vents for my new dryer.
What pros! When they came to quote they even laid out a red carpet and had booties on. I knew right then they would take care of my home and my new hardwood floors.
So the price turned out higher then I expected (it always does) but once the plumber explained all of the work he was going to do I knew it was worth it. He went over and above all expectations to make this a less then horrifying experience.
From cutting out the vent hole, to patching the drywall after the install, to even working around my fat and sassy cat who lives under the sink, this guy was a pro!
I would definitely recommend these guys for anyplumbing work.
Next comes the kitchen remodel, if I use these guys I will post an update on their other services as well.

It must be nice to have a monopoly. Midway Services is the provider for water, sewer and waste management in my housing development and unfortunately they have no competitors. In the year 2011, they insist on sending invoices by mail and the turn around time to get them their check turns into a gamble. It is infuriating that a service provider does not offer an auto-​charge/​auto-​debit feature in this day and age. Heaven forbid I am out of town when the mail comes, I would never get them their money on time.
All I am asking for is an easier way to pay — TO GET YOU YOUR MONEY — and the response I receive is «sorry Sir, we don’t control the mail.»

Extremely disappointed in the service. Technician seemed nice and did most of work but checked on box JOB NOT COMPLETE. Said he wanted to get a different part and was included in cost. Said no additional charges for part or labor once it comes in. We paid total and he said he would be in touch. Weeks went by, no word. Finally someone calls and says part is in and says it will be $ 100 more! Explained what technician said and she said that was impossible. Finally spoke to technician who said sorry, part is not really in. Then said he will replace with whole new part for $ 50. We flatly refused, since we had already paid for the job in full, which was a little high, ($ 231 to recondition our kitchen faucet!) but since it was supposed to include the second visit we did not complain. Now they are trying to charge an additional $ 50 or $ 100!!!
This company had terrible communication with us and with each other. They promised one thing and then refused to deliver. We are extremely unsatisfied and will never use this company again.
