I love O’Keefe’s in Clearwater! This place is definitely worthy of a try if you haven’t already eaten there. O’Keefes’s is an Irish Pub that serves the expected pub food, but so much more. I have found their corned beef sandwiches, whether they be traditional Corned Beef, or for example, a Rueben, to be the freshest tasting around. The bread has always been exceptional. Soft, yet firm, and very good tasting. The meat has always been perfectly lean, not chewy, and very yummy. Their pub burgers are very good, and I understand from my hubby that the Shepherd’s Pie is the best he’s ever had, and the meat loaf is equally as tasty. In addition to pub food they also serve other dishes that one wouldn’t ordinarily expect to find in an Irish pub. I have have had their Taco Salad on numerous occasions, and it’s always been as good as can be, with sides of sour cream and pico de gallo, and jalapeño peppers. The mix of meat(they have a choice of chili or chicken), along with the black beans and corn and cheeses are also very well-balanced. If you happen to leave room for dessert, try their Bread Pudding. You will not be disappointed! Oh, and look for their weekly newspaper coupons where you buy one entrée and get the second entrée of equal or lesser value at half price!

I lost my Kindle at this place after I had stopped with my girlfriend during our memorial weekend vacation trip for a wonderful dinner(I had delicious BBQ wings, and she fell in love with their fish n chips) price was great, as were the portions and atmosphere. When we drove back to Orlando we realized my Kindle was missing and we traced it back to O’Keefe’s. I want to thank the staff for having been patient and kind during our calls and emails to arrange a way to return my Kindle. They went above and beyond and took time out of their day and cost out of their pocket to ship it back to Orlando. Thank you so much, and will definitely come back when we vacation near the area!

I went here with a group of 7. Three couples and me the odd guy. First, nice location, plenty of parking, friendly if not great servers, good atmosphere. Now the meal. I will only speak of my experience. Food: I got the shepherds pie and it was wonderful. Good flavor, good solid portion, cooked through and through. Well done people! Drinks: I ordered a strawberry fruit smoothie. I got a pineapple fruit chunky! The ice chunks in this glass could sink small boats. How in the heck did you let this out of the blender without checking for these monster ice balls? And pineapple? Nothing like strawberry. Did they offer to take it off the bill? Nope. Just took it away an brought me a glass of water. Thanks! Service: very young lady with a great smile. Not experienced enough to take the drink off of the bill or ask if I wanted something else, but that will come with experience. Overall could have been a 3 ½, but halves not allowed.

Entered the restaurant and got seated with no issues. The drinks arrived on time with no delays. We waited, and waited, still more waiting. After 20 minutes still not put in food order we got up and proceeded to leave, they never even noticed us walking toward the door. So we went down the street and eat at different restaurant.

The place was packed and the atmosphere was upbeat. I ordered the pastrami with sweet potato fries. The pastrami was 50% fat, the rye bread was thick and tasteless but the worst part was the fries were ice cold. Also, the place isn’t all that clean and is in desperate need of remodel. Overall a poor experience.

Great pub with good Irish food. We ordered the fish and chips and the Irving Sandwich both were delicious. They also offered decent happy hour specials. The waiter was friendly and attentive, prices were reasonable and portions were generous. We will definitely come again.

My husband and I brought our daughter here to watch the Mets in the World Series. We enjoyed having our own tv at our own booth — even if it wasn’t the best quality. I had a delicious cheeseburger with rather tasteless sweet potato fries and my husband had a really nice size serving of shepherd’s pie which was salty but fantastic. Our daughter ordered grilled cheese but unfortunately fell asleep before her food came. Overall we had a good experience. The food took an unusually long amount of time to come out considering it was about 9pm on a week night and there weren’t very many other fellow diners. I enjoyed my burger and my husband’s shepherd’s pie was very tasty. We will certainly give this place another try but maybe a little earlier in the evening.

meh If the peeps working there don’t wannabe there, neither should you First beer ever I’ve ever sent back. In 30 years Had to flag down owner whilst aging redhead and other gentlemen walked passed our closed menus for … Six songs. I counted So a beer and a half later we call out by NAME our server who was annoyed we asked about the special the manager just told us to check out(?) Don’t be in a hurry. And don’t be annoyed when you’re actively ignored. oh my god … Ugh. Dirty Dining! Okeefes was briefly shut down on July 22, 2015 for health code violations — including 14 live roaches on the cook line. I know stuff like this happens, but I wonder how you can have 14 live roaches on the cook line during business hours, and someone doesn’t do something drastic? It takes an inspector to actually close the place down as unsafe? This represents a serious problem with management that doesn’t seem to care. I have eaten at Okeefes for 35+ years, but they are going to have to do something to regain my trust. I can’t go back for a while. Maybe ever… we will see. It doesn’t help that they recently revamped the menu, taking away a number of things that I liked, and increasing the prices.

If your looking for good beer, good food and well good times look no more. It’s O’keefe’s. I can actually envision Norm from Cheers sitting at the end of the bar. The food was spot on, and so was the service. It’s kind of pricey but for me it was well worth it.

«Happy St. Party’s Day» Spent St. Pat’s night with friends visiting from WI. They loved O’Keefe’s! Josh was our server and even tho he was crazy busy, he gave us excellent service. The food was exceptional and a good value. Fun atmosphere and excellent St. Patty deals. Highly recommended for fun, value and great food.

OMG… disgusting. We have been locals and frequent diners/drinkers at Okeefes for years, but the last year we have noticed a decline in food and service. Then last week we went in and ordered and noticed something on the wall moving. Yes it was a roach. But it gets better… before our food came out(i was about the leave), these men walked in and said everyone must leave, we are with the health inspectors, shutting the doors. It was weird and surreal. We just got up and our waitress came over to hand me the bill, really??? Anyway, the parking lot was taped up but looks like back open. Never going back. Check out the health report on florida department business professional regulations web site.

We found this restaurant about ten years ago and were glad that the place was still open. So we went for dinner tonight. Big disappointment. They were not real busy when we got there. But it still took forever to get our cocktails. We ordered dinner, the Shepard pie for me and the corned beef sandwich for my hubby. He ordered that sandwich based on the photo that was on the menu of a big sandwich piled with corned beef on rye bread. When we were served the meal, what a disappointment. There was nowhere near the amount of meat on his sandwich like the one pictured on the menu. He asked the server for regular mustard with the sandwich when he ordered. But of course the server did not bring the regular mustard when he served the food. So hubby asked again for mustard to put on the sandwich. The server said Oh yeah I’ll get that right away, then walked to another table he was serving to check on those guests and bu****it a little before going to the kitchen for the mustard. Meanwhile, hubby walks up to the bar and gets a bottle of mustard off the bar, puts mustard on his sandwich, and eats half of the sandwich before the server finally gets back with the mustard from the kitchen. The server then made the mistake of asking how was everything when we were done eating. We told him they definitely need to take the pictures off the menu if food is not gong to be as pictured. He comped our dessert, bread pudding, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. Not because it was free, but because it was good. And the server told us that the bread pudding is the only dessert that is house made. So I will in-bookmark this one since I doubt we will go back.

I’m not sure what happened to this place. My family and I have been regulars for decades and were never disappointed with our outings here. In the last year and a half or so, I’m not sure if new owners took over or if they had a management change but it has really gone down hill. The service has become mediocre at best and the food I once craved I now order with caution. Twice in a row my burgers which I order medium have come out less than rare. In addition to the quality of food decreasing, I’ve noticed the prices have increased. I get that this to be expected over time but at least maintain the quality of what’s leaving your kitchen. They can’t seem to keep a staff. The same faces we used to consistently see are no more. It’s a really sad decline for a place that once had so many happy memories. Very disappointing experiences there lately.

Today I joined the guys for lunch at this Irish pub. I ordered an O’Patty melt and fries and it was a greasy mess. Overall it was a decent burger, but so much grease made it too much. Who knows it could be because I don’t really eat that greasy but I couldn’t continue to eat it. The guys got an Irving and club sandwich and they looked much better. Cole slaw they both enjoyed more than normal and the meal was a hearty but heavy one.

Here’s a Clearwater landmark that have not been to in at least 10 years. Stopped in there on Wednesday and my wife and I had a fantastic time. The atmosphere is just how I remember it, warm and cozy. We had excellent service from our waitress who was on her 2nd day of working there. I ordered a cheese burger & fries from the expansive menu and the Mrs had corn beef and potatoes. Now this cheeseburger was HEAVEN !. Just as I ordered it(medium rare) with some pink in the middle and it melts in your mouth. So tender and tasty served on a grilled bun too. The burger was SOTENDER. Amazing ! The Mrs corn beef was nice and lean with hardly no fat or marbling at all. The potato was also cooked just right as well. O’Keefe’s went about and beyond with excellent friendly service and two dinners that were fantastic. I’m glad we stopped in for a revisit. Do yourself a favor and hit this spot for lunch or dinner !

Irish pubs for food are not usually my first choice. However, the menu selection is more comprehensive than what I am used to and the environment is great. It is easy to tell there are many regulars according to the servers patrons request and many were into the golf that was on TV when we were there. You can also put your own table tv to any channel you wish if you are sitting in the booths. The service was excellent and not only was my server prompt and courteous but two managers also checked on us. I also give them points for creativity as one of their menu items consists of 6 draft beers(domestic) and a boiled potato. Dinner is served!

The best known Irish pub in Clearwater, and home of the biggest and best St. Patrick’s day party, which takes over the surrounding areas with bands, green beer, and all kinds of craziness. The food is good and the service is usually good too. It is a nice place to stop in for a meal or drinks.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite some time, but I apparently had 155 other places to try first. Today was a good day to check out O’Keefe’s, so I headed on over for an early lunch. I arrived a few minutes after 11:00 am, I like to avoid lunch crowds. I moseyed on up to the bar, and the bartender came over to me pretty quickly and asked for my drink order. I only pondered the menu for a few minutes, and I had made my selections. The bartender was right there to take my order, she started out strong. I went with the Irish Puffs for my appetizer. They are a flaky pastry filled with corned beef, cabbage and creamed cheese, served over a Mornay sauce with scallions and tomatoes. As that didn’t seem like nearly enough corned beef and cabbage, for my main dish I ordered Corned Beef and Cabbage. I’m crazy like that. While I waited on my food, I took in the Irish bar atmosphere, I gotta say, I do like their whole set up. They have the bar ambience thing going, plenty of seating and televisions, and also an area to dine outside. My food arrived after about 10 minutes. I dug into the Irish Puffs, and they were solid. I then started on my Corned Beef and Cabbage, and although not as good as I can make at home, it did the job. Overall, I was feeling that this place was a 3.5 as I do with so many businesses, but I was waiting for something to put it over the top for me. Unfortunately, the opposite happened. I was finished with my meal, with my credit card sitting on top of the check, my plates pushed aside with my napkin on top, and my beverage empty for over ten minutes before the bartender came to ring me up. She started off so strong! What a bad finish. After she rang me up she offered to refill my beverage, too little too late my friend. Still, a three star rating means A-Ok, and I do intend on coming back. I liked the atmosphere, and their menu is pretty extensive. I’m going to have to try several other dishes, and hopefully I can add another star.

I stumbled upon O’keefe’s one evening when I had to take a trip out to Morton Plant Hospital to visit a friend. I was pretty hungry afterwards and was happy to see an Irish Pub up the road. The prices and service were great! We promptly got our beverages(2 for 1, hey hey) and the owner and waitress both shared what their favorite items are. I went for a salmon dish and my dining mates had a patty melt and bratwurst. Everyone enjoyed their food a lot. Solid food and fun atmosphere have me rating O’keefe’s 4 stars. I bet this place gets pretty rowdy at night, and I’d like to come back for that experience.
