We spent Father’s Day dinner here after wrapping up an all day fishing trip. Needless to say, we were starving! Upon arrival, we were told there would be a wait. I asked if there was a wait for outdoor dining. We were told no wait. It was a win-win because the indoor area was too cold. We waited… it felt like far too long. We ordered appetizers, nearly all were wonderful and flavorful — Try This: — Edamame, zucchini and lobster Rangoon. Not This: — Gyoza (I’m not sure what happened but all four of us thought something was really wrong with them.) Rolls were very good and there was not one we didn’t like. They are not your average/standard rolls. They are unique! Service: Same as others have stated, it wasn’t very good. It was borderline bad. Several of the rolls arrived on one plate and there was no rhyme or reason to how they were plated. The one thing that did make this additionally difficult is that the rolls weren’t tightly rolled. We just had to lazy susan the plates and roll with it.

Such a disappointment. Horrible service. I was so excited to eat there on Father’s Day. 5:35pm Walked in and sat at the sushi bar. We were the only couple at the bar. Two tables outside were occupied, and there was no one at the regular bar. Most tables were were full(a good sign), but there were two other tables for four empty. More on this later. 5:40pm Waitress takes our drink order. 5:45pm Waitress comes back with drinks, takes our appetizer order(sunomono, two bowls of soup) and dinner order(gyoza, Manhattan roll, conch nigiri, shrimp nigiri). 5:55pm appetizers served. 6:15pm Remember those two tables of 4? Full and have drinks in hand. 6:25pm Waitress comes by and sees we have no dinners. Says she will check and goes into the back. Huh? We ordered sushi and are sitting at the sushi bar. I can see the chefs preparing the orders. 6:35pm she has not returned. Both Tables of 4 have gotten their orders, as have the additional patrons who joined us at the sushi bar, regular bar, and additional tables outside. 6:47pm Still no waitress, wife goes to manager, food still nowhere to be seen. 6:50pm We get up to leave, waitress appears out of thin air, and all of a sudden our order is ready. We refuse order, and leave. So disappointing.

We had an AMAZING dinner at Pisces. We sat at the sushi bar while the owner/chef was preparing sushi in front of us. He was masterful, as were his three other sushi chefs at the bar. The place was packed, and yet we got our food in a timely fashion. We got the Pisces Roll, the Shaggy Roll, and some roll with lobster(forget the name). All high quality and super flavorful. We would go back there again.

We were so excited to try this place based on reviews to include our friends and family. Perhaps we are a magnet for poor service, but really not sure what happened tonight. Our server was pretty much non existent, getting orders wrong and just plain awful. We started the night out on the outside patio and it was a great night. The singer they had out was just delightful, and I was so excited to try the #7 restaurant on Unilocal in Tampa area. This is where the awesomeness stopped. Let’s start with the food. Our order was fairly simple. Four rolls, Edamame. We tried the Manhattan, Mexicali Blues, Maine event and the Malaysian Monster. None of the four really were bam in your face good. Unique tastes on all, with maybe the Manhattan being the favorite. Edamame was a nice touch with the sesame sauce they use. I was really disappointed both in taste and presentation of the rolls. One of the rolls I couldn’t eat due to it tasting fishy. Overall, this time it was pretty much a 2.5−3 star sushi experience for us. Service. Where do I start? Our server struggled taking our order. We were served our drinks, but didn’t get any napkins for them so the sweat from the glasses was all over the table. We had to ask for water refills after sitting through most of the dinner with empty glasses. Most of the other parties around us were also was struggling. Noticed even one of them had to get up and go to the bar to get their own drinks. When we finished our Edamame, our plates had not been cleared, when they did, they brought out the sushi, and I asked for clean plates. We waited a while to the point of just starting to eat the sushi while dripping on the table cause we were so hungry. I almost had to get up to get plates while we were staring at the sushi in front of us. Finally the plates arrived. Not a good impression at all. After we finished, we had to tell our server 4 times we were ready for our check. We couldn’t wait to get out of here. Why 2 stars? Literally the entertainment outside was awesome, the hostess was nice, edamame was good, but everything else fell short. I’m guessing we just had a bad night given the awesomeness of all the other reviews on here, but I’m not sure if it’s worth trying again. So disappointed.

Wow what a stunner! My parents and I only came here because another restaurant was packed, and we were completely caught by surprise. THEBESTSUSHI — we sampled Caterpillar, Veggie with seaweed salad, Mango, and Yam. Very tasty Ginger Mules, and you MUST have the Sesame Balls for dessert. They are so unusual and so delicious!

Overpriced yuppy sushi trying to be something else. To me, this place is a tapas bar with a sushi bar added in as an afterthought. Sushi«makers» are definitely not chefs. Definitely not for sushi purists. You will be pissed. Pros: Good ambiance Parking is easy and free Good tasting tapas. Made with good spices. Cons: As far from authentic sushi as you can get. Sushi«chefs», I’ll call them sushi makers, don’t greet you and don’t talk to you even if you sit at the sushi bar. You have to order from the waitress. Don’t try to tell the sushi«makers» that you want more. Overpriced. Service was slightly below average. We waited an uncomfortable amount of time to order. Below average size for the price for nigiri.

We went on a Friday night for dinner and the place was packed. We had somewhere to be afterward so I was a little apprehensive, but WOW, the service was lightning fast. Even with two cocktails, an appetizer, and several rolls, we were in and out in about an hour in spite of how busy it was. Their service is absolutely top notch. I had a ginger mule which was perfect. The sushi itself was very good, but I felt it wasn’t a great value. The nigiri/sashimi costs about twice as much as it does at other local sushi places. All the sushi was definitely overpriced compared to the other places we usually frequent(Shogun Sushi, Sushi Alive), which is why I’m going with 4 stars instead of 5. The dessert was the best part for me, we got the crème brûlée flight which is 4 small cups of different crème brûlée flavors(green tea, espresso, ginger, vanilla) and it was AWESOME. I highly recommend it. The size is great for 2 – 4 people to share a few bites each, perfect size after an already satisfying meal. Overall, I recommend this place and will be back(especially if they have some kind of happy hour/lunch special). The service is lightning fast and very friendly, and the atmosphere sitting outside was lively but not too loud.

So happy to have found a new favorite sushi place! I’ve been a few times to the old location but have not yet been to the new one!(Can’t wait to see it). If you go before 7 there is sushi happy hour for the basic rolls and they are so worth it! Such fresh seafood it’s perfect except the rice was under seasoned the last 2 times. Nothing a little dip in soy sauce can’t fix(but the roll did fall apart when trying to grab with chop sticks). Again not a big deal. The ambiance of the place and the quality of the food are most important to me and they where on point! Great locals and people in there all the times I went very enjoyable atmosphere and to top it off complimentary rice balls with a great little mayo-based sauce! I mean what else could you want from a sushi place? Fresh seafood, great tasting food, a chef that knows how to put together flavor a(the Pisces roll is astounding!) 5* all the way!

New location downtown — same amazing sushi. The prices are not cheap(and I think with the higher rent downtown — the prices show it). The portions and quality are A+ and the service is good — not amazing; but I think they are still getting used to their new space. It is not for the budget diner however. Their rolls are larger than some places, so keep that in mind.

I had to update my previous review after going to the new Pisces location in Downtown Dunedin. What a vast improvement from the previous location! Right in the heart of Dunedin on a corner lot, amidst the easy going lifestyle… this new Pisces location is perfect! The inside is cozy and quaint with seating at the fully stocked bar, sushi bar, and at various tables. They have a rather large outside area that is covered. It is really wonderful sitting outside because you can just people watch and enjoy your food & drinks. We had a surprise party there for a friend and made reservations for 30 in their outside area. It fit us perfectly! We got the whole area to ourselves and the staff was more than accommodating. Everyone was over the moon about the food! The one thing that remained the same as the previous location is the food! Still as delicious as I remembered from the first time I was there. I had the Bubba Gump roll, my husband had the Swamp Thing & other members of our party had the Ragin Cajun and Aloha Broha. We also had a friend who was reluctant to go there because he doesn’t like sushi order the Chicken Stir Fry and loved every bite. Now that they have moved to this new location I envision many more trips back for a food I never thought I’d love so much… sushi!

I love love love the new location downtown Dunedin!!! Large outside patio is super cool and food of course as delicious as always. Wait staff remains super friendly I will certainly make it an effort to continue going there. I love spicy food and recently ordered my Bubba Gump Sushi with fresh jalapeños and loved it. The tiramisu is one of the best I ever had like we are talking finger licking good ! My all time favorite is the Kani appetizer I wished I could supersize it. There is nothing here that I ever ate I didn’t care for. If you have never been ! What are you waiting for? Is all I can say

This is definitely a hidden gem in Dunedin! Sushi was fresh and taste amazing. The service was wonderful! The avocado stuffed with crab salad was beautifully prepared and equally amazing! We will def be going back! Elizabeth and Jamie did an amazing job with the new location.

This was our second trip to Pisces & first time at their new location. We ate here last year at the old location & loved it. Had a fantastic dinner at the new spot & it was even better! First off, the new location is really, really nice with excellent parking available. We did not have reservations but were able to get a table right away on a Friday evening. Would have liked to have sat outside, but nothing was available… no biggie; inside was nice & comfortable. For an appetizer we had the tuna guacamole… Which was awesome & enough for the two of us. We ordered(3) rolls: I yam what I yam, Aztec & Surf & Turf. All three were fresh & full of flavor. If I could have, I would have eaten more… But I was stuffed. Had no room for dessert. Service was excellent as well; attentive without being intrusive. Our waitress, Heather, was very nice, attentive & familiar with the menu. Two other folks, who I’m assuming were either manager’s or host staff also took the time to stop by & just ask how we were, did we enjoy everything & even cleared some of the plates. From what I could see they were doing a great job at trying to accommodate everyone & helping you enjoy your meal. My wife and I both left wishing there was a place like this in NJ! We’ll be back the next time we stay in the area!

How can you have facebook posts, Unilocal posts and advertise like crazy and BECLOSED! I get it, you’re moving locations, but no notice. Nothing on your facebook, nothing on Unilocal, nothing even on an answering machine for your phone numbers, it just keeps ringing! It’s upsetting, as we were visiting and really hoping to try the location.

First and foremost, I’m very particular about my sushi. I feel that if you don’t have the rice on point, it throws the whole dish out of whack. Pisces is located in a strip mall across from Kmart on 580 near countryside mall. It’s not really a place I would’ve probably chosen to have sushi had it not been to meet up with old friends but the place is still quaint and inviting. It’s got an open set up so it doesn’t feel very claustrophobic unlike some small sushi restaurants out there. If you come in before 7 on m-f, you can order from the happy hour menu. $ 4 basic sushi rolls and $ 3 appetizers. We ordered the lobster rangoon, spring rolls, edamame, and fried rice balls. All were rather tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. Back to the sushi. I ordered a pisces roll which is wrapped in cucumber and then battered then fried. I also opted for the regular spicy tuna roll. I had some samplings of the rolls that my friends had ordered. All were good except the rice. I was a little disappointed because the rolls all had the potential to be great had it not been for the underseasoned rice. A little more salt, sugar, and rice vinegar would’ve made them great. I ended the night wit a chocolate flour less torte. It was moist, light, and not to sweet. The service was excellent and we had a great time. Will definitely come back again for another try.

Happy hour at Saturday? Un heard off. This restaurant offer the happy hour sushi is at Saturday from 2 to 4 pm. The rolls are $ 4 each. They also have the reduce price appetizers. It is perfect to go there when I just finish my Saturday noon time badminton session. Compare to many places with happy hour sushi, their sushi rice is seasoning with good flavor before wrapping. In my book, only one happy hour place sushi rice is comparable to this place. I got six different roll for $ 24. I also get half price sangria sake. Good deal. Other than their happy hour sushi, they also have chef signature sushi roll. They are very attractive. The service is good, the ambients are nice. Can you believe they are the few pioneers who serve gourmet sushi in Bay Area.

We were there during Sat afternoon happy hours 2 – 4 Pm. The interior was nice, clean and comfortable. Service was attentive. We got a «buy one get one free» cold sake and 6 sushi rolls. The waiter brought us a tasty fried sushi ball appetizer on the house which was very nice. The spicy tuna roll that we both loved was made from good quality tuna and spicy enough. The other sushi rolls were all delicious. This is a good sushi place, specially the happy hour price make the meal really good vaule.

Don’t let the location in this strip plaza fool you! I have been to Pisces several times to eat sushi. Their lunch specials and happy hour specials can’t be beat, but don’t let the limited menu and excellent prices on those keep you from trying some of their specialty rolls! The Dunedin’s Dream Roll is my new favorite roll ever. He is very inventive with the menu and I’ve tried the Surf n Turf and the Aphrodite rolls as well. This is true fusion sushi! The ginger salad is really good, as are the complimentary rice balls and sauce that come with every meal. For quality, value and price, this place just can’t be beat!

I’m a fan! Woot, woot! I’m usually really picky with sushi because I’m always eating it. Pisces actually has a pretty small menu compared to other places. They have this amazing fusion of Spanish, Cajun and Sushi, and it works. There isn’t much kitchen food besides the«tapas» or little appetizers. I don’t mind at all because I’m here for the sushi. We tried the spider roll, the swamp thing and some salmon and octopus nigiris. All was amazing and I loved the unique creativity in each roll as well as the sauces. I normally get sick from too much sauce, but surprisingly the sauces on the rolls are very flavorful and not super sweet or thick. The nigiri’s were amazing as the cuts were thick and juicy. It was a little more in price compared to other places but the quality and perfect cuts are worth it. We tried The Swamp Thing roll mainly because it’s a gator tail. Yes! Gator meat! It was pretty tasty too. The service was pretty on point. Our server was upbeat and friendly. I’m digging this place! Definitely will come back for more.
