Sabai has become our favorite Thai/Asian restaurant in Safety Harbor. The service is awesome, the selection is great and the portions are ample(for Thai food). Our favorite dish is the curry noodle soup. They also have a very reasonable bento box for kids.

Best sushi in clearwater area. The location tag is little off… The restaurant is a little more west. Very fresh sushi and flavorful phở and wonton soup. Wide menu options. I will be returning soon!

First time here. Very unassuming looks and slightly awkward but friendly service. Probably best Phó(or super close) I’ve ever had! Travis had the Thunder Roll, and loved it! 9⁄10 from him. Laurel had sushi and said 9⁄10 too. We think this is the best Thai sushi place in Clearwater.

Stumbled upon this place by chance and consider myself lucky for that. It’s a family run thai/Vietnamese/Japanese restaurant with some of the best sushi and thai food I’ve ever had. The service was great to boot too! They have a great lunch menu which is around $ 7 for an entrée and 2 «chef’s choice» sides. Well the chef chose right because our vegetable soup had amazing flavor and the spring roll was perfectly crunchy and delicious. I had panang curry with shrimp($ 1 extra) which was so good. Even the white rice was notable which is weird to even say but true. Such a great value too! I also decided to give their sushi a try. I asked for a suggestion from their special rolls(highly recommended by the way), and after a few questions, the waiter suggested the Lovers Quarrel roll. It had salmon, spicy tuna and avacado. This was one of the best rolls I’ve ever had! Finally, the Vietnamese iced coffee was the closest replica of the real deal that I’ve found here. My only regret is not leaving room for dessert. Keep in mind that they typically close between lunch and dinner from about 2:30−4pm. I know there are a lot of options in the area for thai and sushi, but you should go here.

I hate to give Sabai two stars. The staff was very nice but the food just fell a bit short. We started with a glass of the house Cab and house Sauvignon Blanc. Both very underwhelming. I do not expect anything wonderful for any house wine, but both were pretty grim. The appetizer, Vietnamese rolls, were quite nice. Light, flavorful, maybe a tad to sweet but still a nice way to start things off. The two entrees, the Vietnamese curry and Pad Thai came in a bit to quickly, we had not yet finished the app. So a small demerit for that. The curry was very nice, flavorful without knocking your socks off with heat. The potato were cut a bit to large. Hard to eat and a bit underdone. But a minor issue. The Pad Thai however was very disappointing. Way, way to sweet. Limp noodles drowning in a sweet brown sauce. No scallions, peanuts, bean sprouts anything to add a bit of savory or crunch to the dish. The egg was lost. It was really just a mess of a dish. A good Thai restaurant has to do Pad Thai well and Sabai fell very short of the mark.

We were craving Asian on a Saturday afternoon and happened upon this place. So glad we did. Their lunch menu is a great deal and the Saturday lunch special is fantastic. We had so much food that we had lunch today. I would definitely recommend.

FABULOUS! I can not say enough good things about this gem in Safety Harbor! We first ordered a few traditional Thai standbys to see how they’d do with those: Panang Chicken with Tom Kha Gai(coconut soup). The soup was absolutely delicious and had the perfect balance of flavors with cilantro, lemongrass and of course the coconut milk. The Panang Chicken is just spicy enough for a little kick with all white meat tender chicken. Again, the perfect balance of coconut and peanut flavors! Then, I tried the sushi. Words cannot describe how truly delicious the sushi is. All of the different rolls I’ve tried are excellent and very fresh. You can find the standard rolls most sushi restaurants offer, but you’ve really got to check out the special rolls. Beautifully presented, each I’ve tried is superb. My personal favorite is the Rama Roll: Salmon, cream cheese with spicy tuna, scallion & seed(see the photo). Seriously my all time favorite of any sushi I’ve ever tried, EVER. By the way… they DELIVER. Sushi. To you. Pure awesomeness.

Very good sushi! They have Fresh fish which is a must but also a rare thing in tampa bay. Very clean and friendly environment, owner is very nice! The Thai coconut soup is the best, and tuna lover

This is my «first try review» I will revisit and re write another post in the future. Sabai is across the street from Ban Thai. Their prices are about the same, but the environment from the pictures lacks. Sabai delivers, hence why I tried it. I ordered the crab Rangoons(really good and different from regular take out) I had the Wonton soup(FLAVORLESS and FULL of vegetables!) and my husband had the Beef lo Mein(Also flavorless and we counted 6 thumb sized strips of beef.) Here is my final opinion. Yes, the food was very nicely prepared. It wasn’t greasy, and very light. Sadly, it wasn’t what we were in the mood for considering it was from their Chinese menu. We were expecting your typical, sodium packed, «I’ma suffer for this later» Chinese meal. Kudos to Sabai for keeping it delicate. For this, I will give Sabai another try, and order Thai and sushi instead. If I am not overly impressed then at least it will be my new take out/delivery spot(which is healthier than regular takeout) and I will make sure to order something that is not meant to be super unhealthy. I still think Ban Thai Sushi is the best in town, as far as sit down. Read my review on it… UPDATE: Sabai is my NEW Thai place I guess, Ban Thai had some MAJOR violations…:’(

Sabai has the best sushi in Pinellas, bar none! Before finding this gem recently, I used to go to Tampa for sushi, but no longer. The sushi is as fresh as can be; the portions are very generous; the service is terrific; and the staff and owners are wonderful! You can’t go wrong with Sabai. It’s a must for sushi and Thai.

This is our favorite Thai food in the area. The food is always fresh, the delivery is quick and everything is always just as we ordered. Highly recommend them. We’ve tried all Thai in the area. Give them a call, you won’t be sorry. Pra Ram noodles are delicious.

We had take-out from this little restaurant in Safety Harbor… partly because my parents love this place and partly because I adore Thai food! We got the Vietnamese spring rolls to start with, which were filled with tofu, egg and bean sprouts. They were wrapped in a thicker rice paper than I was used to but it was delicious and a refreshing change from the«typical» spring rolls! They were served with a thicker sauce that tasted similar to soy sauce. Delicious, but could have used a few more vegetables! We all shared the Thai curry(green) with tofu and pad thai with shrimp. The curry was EXCELLENT, flavorful and came in a large portion! We should have ordered an extra serving of rice though because it wasn’t enough for us all to share. The pad thai with shrimp was very good but in my opinion needed a lot more vegetables. It was packed with shrimp though and was a pretty big portion– enough for us all to share! Overall, we loved our«order in» meal after a long day of packing and organizing! I will definitely go check out the restaurant soon!

The Thai waitress said try the papaya salad«Thai hot». She served it. It was hot. We said it was hot. Then the waitress said, «Never order papaya salad Thai hot». So she recommended, served and said not to order the papaya salad, Thai hot. Why have something on the menu you recommend, but not recommend? So, the dinner sucked and it was PRICEY. Dining on a well prepared meal at a fair price is an anathema to Sabai Thai. Don’t go here and let them go bankrupt. It won’t be long. The place was empty and we are not going back. F them. Which is a shame, because Clearwater needs a good Thai place. Go to Green Mint Asian grill instead or Saigon City if you go to Tampa or go to Bonefish Grill next door if you want expensive McFood.

Average thai & sushi. When I’m in a fix & it’s late I go here they are one of the few places open until 10. This is not my gonzo place. Nothing here is mind blowing but morning is bad either.

Nailed it! When I go out to eat, I want to eat something as good if not better than what Incan make at home. Occasionally we find something that exceeds that simple proviso and does so without breaking the bank! Sabai Thai is one of those rare places. We’ve had the papaya salad, stuffed chicken wings, cucumber salad and the Sabai Sushi Roll! Every bit of it is made with fresh, impeccable ingredients and combined with the skill of true culinary craftsmanship. If you love Thai cuisine or sushi… Don’t hesitate to go here. It’s now on our must go-to date night list.

I haven’t written a review in quite some time but I feel that this restaurant deserves a good one! At the intersection of McMullen-Booth and Enterprise in Clearwater, there are no less than 3 Thai restaurants. With a sense of curiosity, we tried this one and what a wonderful surprise we had. It has a very unassuming store front and the décor is clean and new. We sat at a comfy booth and began to order soup. We both ordered the Tom Kha Gai, Thai hot. We were surprised that they didn’t spice their soup with just chili flakes or the typical condiments but had actual sliced peppers! The flavors were awesome. Next, we were hungry so we ordered 3 appetizers. We ordered the Sampler for 2, the Chicken Wings(Angel Wings) and the Pla Goong salad. We’ve had a lot of Pupu platters in Thai restaurants over the years and this was by far the best. Everything tasted freshly made and extremely flavorful. The stuffed chicken wings were huge and delicious. The Pla Goong could have used a bit more fish sauce and lime but it was covered in tasty shrimp. Undaunted, we ordered the Pad Se-Ew and the Soft Shell Crabs for entrees. The noodles were spicy and wonderful, it was a huge portion. The crabs were something to behold. There came 2 huge tempura crabs with all their legs and claws intact. We had the spicy basil sauce. The sauce was served on the side so we could dip the crab in it. Bliss. I would have taken a photo but I immediately dove into the dish. We took noodles home which we’ll be fighting over later. The takeaway was that these dishes were beautifully prepared and very flavorful. If you go to a Thai restaurant and just have a ‘meh’ feeling afterwards try this one and you won’t be disappointed.
