I surely wish I would have read the review listed for Secure Movers or Tampa Movers, before hiring these guys. I was quoted by Mickey the owner a 3 to 4 hour job at approx. $ 392 when all was said and done, more that twice the amount $ 897 was charged while the delivery guys complained and said if I didn’t agree to hiring another helper at and additional $ 50 an hour the job could run very long for the two guys sent out alone. When I asked Mickey if he came by to see the job he told me that he drove by knew the area and assured me the quote he gave me was within range. The first hour the guys did nothing but complain and look for some help a grandson on one of the moving men. Security cameras in our parking garage saw the guys taking many breaks when questioned about it they said they were planning on how to load the truck. When my furniture made it to my new house 6 miles away they then dropped my new couch off the truck in the driveway ripping out the back material now showing white fiber and a scratch and tear from the left front to center. The check I gave them was cashed within minutes of Mickey getting his check, who does that a dishonest man maybe? When I told him I was going to give him a review about this over a speaker phone he threatened to write a bad review about my business which he knows nothing about??? The delivery men tried to disassemble everything they could to waste time. Almost every review you see on this company will be very similar. Mickey keeps saying he is coming out to look at the damage but can never seem to find a convenient time to get here. The only good review was one that Secure Movers wrote themselves so easy to see in that review they are ultimate movers… NOT SO BUYER BEWARE looking at the other reviews I could have written any of them because that is how the company Secure Movers and the owner Mickey run his business…

Review update:
Since posting this review, the owner has sent me a nasty email through Unilocal letting me know it’s my wives fault that he is unable to listen to her and write down her email address. Also it is our fault for everything else. And there are «people like me» who make it hard for companies to operate. Thank you sir.

What a disaster this move was!!! To avoid confusion with other companies, SECURE MOVERS INC. Florida business ID (FEI/​EIN) is 203 049 803. Needless to say, I am requesting a BBB to start an investigation.
Facts:
— Actual cost of the move was SIXTY 60% over quote (despite being given a detailed list of everything with dimensions, locations, and layout).
— FAILED to complete the move b/​c didn’t bring enough manpower on the move day;
— FAILED their promise to come back with adequate staff and complete the move (lied to get their pay check);
— Damaged high value items and REFUSED to open and pay the claim;
— Rude and offensive customer service– tried to threaten and intimidate me so that I don’t complain;
— Movers arrived 1 hr late;
— Moving staff was not equipped properly to do their jobs (lacking move devices, safety belts, etc.).
It was a move of 1 office room, laundry, and a dining room, cost me $ 800, and they didn’t even finish moving washer and dryer. At the beginning of the move, I pointed at my most expensive furniture piece ($ 20K), and emphasized that that everything else on the truck can get destroyed, but these items must be preserved at all costs — wrap them twice, wrap them 4 times, so precious. Guess what? These 2 items were scratched and dented — ruined!

Go the job done, but slow. Asked me to fill out a review form in person, which was uncomfortable.

Secure movers did a great job moving my household goods at a very reasonable price. It was a difficult job with stairs, cold and of course it had to rain, but they moved me like it was a sunny day on the beach, no complaints, no hold ups, on time, no damaged furniture. I would definitely recommend secure movers. Also, Micky was right on with the estimate.
