It’s usually a 5, coney buns were not soft and hot, hot dog was dry and again-not hot? I grew up eating these things and the coney should at least be so warm the cheese wants to melt. Tried confiding in the server and she wasn’t understanding… I guess I offended her. It was also 20 min after open, so maybe they were still using stuff from night before. Not good representation of a Cinci staple.

Buns on the coney were stalish on parts, but otherwise tasted like my hometown Cincinnati. :)

Terrible! We were provided with a sample of the chili with spaghetti noodles when we asked what was good; we had never been here before. We should have left after the sample. I can’t believe they actually put their chili into cans and sell it! Who is buying it at $ 4 a can anyways?! The hot dogs are about 3 inches long and served completely cold in the center. A pitiful amount of chili is smeared across the top and about a ½ a block of shredded cheese is then plopped on it. Not that the chili was great to begin with, but I shouldn’t have to search for the chili on the hotdog! The Costco hotdogs has this place beat hands down!

My husband is born and raised in Cincinnati so this is a monthly stop for us. I didn’t think I would be a fan but I have converted. It’s a great place for vegetarians since they have the black bean and rice chili option on all of their entrees. My go to is the Black Bean Rice Sandwich. How can you mess with a hot dog bun stuffed with chili and topped with a pile of cheese! Don’t forget to get it with mustard and onions and top it off with some hot sauce. They also have a habanero cheese option for those who like things spicy!

So I’m from Michigan. Don’t judge me. I enjoy Skyline and their unique chili. I get the 3 way potatoe without cheese.

When there’s a little bit of chill in the air, there’s nothing better than a 4-way chili mac for that comfort food filling. Skyline Chili hits the spot. The portion sizes are generous and the prices more than reasonable. The hot dogs are small, but tasty. The staff is friendly and the service quick. It is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner when you want something tasty and fast. I actually prefer a Texas-style chili as opposed to Cincinnati chili, but since I can’t find that here locally, this is the next best thing. You just can’t beat this place for value.

I’m from Cincinnati and I grew up on this stuff. Simply the best in the world. People who don’t like it stay away. You will never understand.

First off, if you are looking to enjoy«chili» here, it may be helpful to do a bit of online research first! I did, and entered this unique place with specific expectations and was beyond pleased! This is NOT Texas or Tex-Mex/SouthWest chili. It is the«famous» GREEK-style of Cincinnati chili, bean-free, devoid of blasting Texas heat, with a subtle flavor coming from cinnamon and such. That said, and well-known by me in advance… Wow! We are so lucky to have a branch of this unique sort of restaurant chain here! My dining friends all got hot dogs loaded and overflowing with chili and cheese. I got a 4 or 5 way(whatever) bowl of chili over pasta with beans and cheese and such(I dislike raw onions, so I skipped them!). This really is a chili to either love or hate, and all of us loved it! My lack of 5 stars is that after dining here a few times, the staff definitely displays a bit of a «soup nazi» vibe! Sort of the«love us or GETLOST» thing going? I’ve been here a few times and still feel it. I’m not sure what it takes to get«into the CLUB» here and become a regular, but for this unique chili? Maybe I’ll just get some take-out for my family to enjoy? It’s worth it…

This place is awesome even has a drive-through window for a fast speedy service the only thing that I wishes that they would have ½ price dog day what a great place to eat …

I had never been here before, so me and some coworkers decided to check it out. I had a coney and the chili 4 way. I needed the bib for the chili four way since they spaghetti was a little watery and created a very messy sauce. I think there is some cinnamon in the chili, which isn’t my favorite. I think that may be a Greek influence. Overall, it is very good and would go back.

To some extent, Skyline chili is a love it or hate it kind of place. My wife and I love it and make sure to eat here whenever we are in Clearwater or Naples. I keep hoping that Orlando will eventually get one but so far no luck. My wife usually gets a couple of Coneys(yes, they’re small hotdogs but they’re only like $ 2 and change a piece), and I usually have a medium 3-way. I love that they never skimp on cheese here. A medium 3-way(noodles, chili, and cheese) is pretty darn filling by itself. We also tried the chili cheese fries this time and they were very good as well. This is Cincinnati chili people, so don’t expect lots of peppers or beans. For those who live far away from a restaurant location, many Publix locations sell their chili in the freezer section.

The food here is terrible. I don’t know what pit they got their«chili» recipe from, but you’d need to have no functioning taste buds to enjoy this one. Their chili is less chili and more a spaghetti sauce made by a Texan who didn’t have access to either peppers or Italian seasonings and decided to substitute every spice with nutmeg. I’m not sure if it’s because the creator likes nutmeg, or if it’s because of nutmeg having mild hallucinating effects so they can mask the fact that what you just ate was actually dog feces. The color, consistency and taste suggest the latter. If you like food, avoid this place like the plague.

I love this place — mostly because I grew up with Cincinnati Chili and it’s now a comfrt food for me. This place has a very diverse menu: greek salads, hot dogs, fries and of course you can have the famous chili on everything. The specialty is the spaghetti with chili — and depending on what toppings you like on your spaghetti its either a 2, 3, or four way. Keep in mind that the Skyline(Cincinnati) Chili has its own distinctive taste and really tastes nothing like traditional chili — it is much sweeter. But trust me: one you try it you’ll be hooked.

I was really debating on how many stars to give skyline chili and ended with a 3 .The taste is certainly there, but these chili dogs that look bigger in the pic are just so small. If they made these into regular sized dogs or even better, jumbo, and just charged more, this could be close to a 5 star review. They were pretty stingy with the chili too, mostly cheese, which I wished was more melty. For the people who keep trying to guess the spice in this chili, I can definitely say it’s cinnamon and clove. Definitely Greek owners who started this place because it tastes just like Greek makaronia me kima, spaghetti with meat sauce, Greek style.

4-Way Chili Bowl &2 Cheese Coneys. yes, please & thank you very much. If arriving hungry, have some fun with their soup crackers while waiting. fill the little cracker-cavities with hot sauce for a crunchy snack. It’s rare that I’ll go out of my way to review any non mom & pop joints, but this one is definitely worth-while.

You gotta love Skyline! So glad to see that this Cincinnati style chili standby is still going strong. This is NOT Southern chili so don’t go in expecting a comparison or you will be unnecessarily unhappy. Love southern chili too, but this is wonderfully different!!! For expectation purposes: Cincinnati chili is not made with tomato sauce or chili powder — instead it is a Greek variation using cumin for the reddish coloring and a little spice. Cooked for hours to a fine consistency and served over spaghetti noodles, it is a wonderful entrée uniquely its own. You order it 3 way(sauce, noodles, cheese,) 4 way(the 3 way with beans or onions,) or 5 way(all of the previous) then add oyster crackers over the top and you have a full stomach in a flash. There are similar brands, Empress and Goldstar, but Skyline has chosen to fly south and we appreciate it!!! If you like hot dogs go for a Coney Island which has sauce, cheese and onions over the dog or try a Greek salad. Entrees are under $ 10. If you are from Ohio, you are probably already flocking here. If you are a Southerner, you need to give it a try. There are many of us converts living South of the Mason Dixon line. Go in hungry with an open mind and you will love it!!! I know we visit every time we are in the area… and sometimes find excuses to drive to Pinellas! Give it a try! TIP: Shelve your pride and ask for a bib like the Cinci folks do, your shirt will thank you! ;-)

The food is consistently good. This time, I had three chili cheese coneys with mustard and onions. Very good, but the one beef I’ve had with Skyline over the years is that they use very harsh onions. If they used a milder, Vidalia-style onion, it would be a big improvement. And get rid of that obnoxious tip cup at the drive thru window. It is really insulting to have your employees begging for tips at the DRIVETHRU. Why don’t you pay them a fair wage so they don’t have to annoy your customers like that?

We came here on a recommendation and had a good meal. Honestly, not being from the area we probably never would have seen it. It’s off of 19, in a plaza. It blends in with the surroundings. It’s a basic restaurant; tables, chairs, a few TVs with sports and a kitchen area off to the side that’s open. They have bottled beer available; no wine or mixed drinks. They’ll take your order at the table. I had two Coneys with cheese. I’m more of a spicy chili person, but these were good. The chili had a slight sweetness to it which was different, but I liked it. Overall, not bad chili dogs. My wife opted for the salad which was of good size and was fresh. They’ll also put out oyster crackers for you as you wait for your food. I put some hot sauce on mine. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a good meal. Nothing I was blown away by, but not a letdown either. If you’ve never been to a Skyline and want something different, it’s worth looking into. The prices are very reasonable as well.
