Great, authentic Greek food in a strip mall. Need more seating especially at lunch during Florida summer but overall a great spot. Staff are super friendly too — two thumbs up

I love this small place so much. I usually order the chicken kebobs with rice and it comes with a side Greek salad. You can get ceaser instead! The chicken is always tender and seasoned well, and the rice is great too. I’ve seen some people say it’s a bit«oily», but I believe that they put some kind of sauce on top of it and that’s why it seems that way. I don’t notice an excessive amount of oil. The side salad has the best potato salad and Greek dressing. It isn’t a sweet Greek dressing for once!!! Very authentic. I do have their chicken parm sometimes as well. It’s a huge portion and they give a lot of pasta. The only complaint is that the sauce can be acidic but I’m picky when it comes to Italian food. Very friendly staff but the prices are a bit high at dinner time.

We have been here multiple times over multiple years and come back every time we are in town! Love the spanikopita and baklava! Generous Horiatiki servings! Delicious and moist chicken kabobs!

I’m Greek and I love our food, and because the best is always Mom’s, I’m very very picky. This place has to be one of the best in the area, even though it is small. It’s more traditional unlike all these commercialized/AMERICANIZED Greek Restaurants especially in Tarpon. I usually go here several times a week here. They have the best Avgolemono(Greek Chicken Lemon Soup) in town. My favorite there is their Greek Chow Mein… YUMYUMYUM. If you’re craving Greek food and in PINELLAS, this is the place you must visit. You will not be sorry. Trust me, if you want a good recommendation for a Greek Restaurant what a better person to ask the a Greek. Well I’m telling you. This is the best Greek Restaurant in Pinellas County.

Tried this place after the reviews and I needed a new Gryo Greek place. Aside from the long line in a small space., and the owners figuring out an order ahead me, this place is very good. They even play Greek music. I will try the Chicken Gryo pita next. They have a very big menu for such a small kitchen space and all. Outdoor seating looked more roomier than inside. Sofia checked put every table and asked how the food was. I will be back… Greek goodness

We ate here last week for the first time, and we enjoyed every tasty morsel of food. Their Greek food is better than anything we’ve had in Tarpon Springs, and that is no kidding. My wife had the Eggplant, and she said that is was delicious. I even agreed to have a taste to keep her from nagging me about eggplant — and it was OK for eggplant. Why do women like squash and stuff? I had a combination Greek platter, and everything was terrific. The Slovaki was the best I’ve had on the Gulf Coast, plus the spinach and cheese pies were standouts. The place is as clean as a whistle. It is small in size, but huge in flavor and quality. This family run restaurant is awesome, and even has a bit of an old diner feeling.

Great local joint! The spanokopita(spinach pie) was as good as my homemade, so often restaurants skimp on the feta. this one was perfect. The cheese pie(tyropita) was tasty and the Greek salad had a surprise under all that feta, a scoop of potato salad. how fun!

Great little place we found by accident. My boyfriend and I each had a gyro with a side Greek salad. Bill was under $ 22, very yummy and reasonably priced.

My husband and I randomly stopped in last night because we love Greek food and we were very happy we did. These people are so humble, we wanted to stay all night. I got the Greek plate that had Greek salad and spanakopita(so good)! I got a side of taziki sauce as well! The hubs got the Greek style lasagna and it was sooooo amazing! We both also got the lemon chicken orzo soup! Incredible :) Thanks for the amazing meal! We will be back this weekend

Great place! Family style Greek café. Gyro was amazing. Sofia is always here working, super friendly and nice staff. Highly recommend if you don’t want to spend a lot and still want to have enjoyable experience and good food come to Sofia’s greek café.

Wow we had such a nice experience here. We were greeted by the nicest woman. She just looked like she should be making Greek food — like in a good way. I think that had to be Sofia herself. We felt so welcome. I had one of their specials — a eggplant rollitini — and Dom had a gyro. It was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted really fresh. We are so impressed. You can tell they love what they do. We will be back soon.

My wife is part Greek and I spent a lot of time in Greece which means we can be pretty picky. Saw some good reviews, and since we live close, we had to try it. Ordered a Gyro and something that wasn’t on the menu but we both love, which is a traditional Moussaka. The Gyro was amazing! Finally, a place that gives you plenty of meat! And good meat!(Insert 5 jokes here). It was very flavorful. One of the best Gyro’s I’ve had. The Moussaka was also very good(posted photo), though lacked a bit of seasoning, making it a little blend(just being VERY picky here) but it was awesome! I appreciated that they put the tomato sauce on the side. If there is any downside is due to the rice. It was strangely spicy. Why? Rice should not be spicy. A small issue in an otherwise really good experience. Will be back for sure. Please thumb up my review if it was helpful to you.

The eggplant parm is awesome. Husband had a gyro he said very good. Only drawback was too few tables inside we had to eat at outside table, thank god there was a breeze or it would have been way to hor… .

I’m normally pretty skeptical about a place that only has a few reviews and they’re almost all five stars, but this place deserves its stellar rating. It’s not a very large place, but it offers both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer traditional Greek fare, but they also have cheese steaks, cheeseburgers, and if you’re feeling adventurous, they even have Greek Chow Mein. I decided to play it safe today, and I ordered the Gyro Pita and the Pork Pita. My food was brought out to me after a few minutes, and I underestimated how big both pitas would be. They definitely do not skimp on the meat either. I like my tzatziki sauce with lots of garlic, and theirs did not disappoint. Every thing was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The prices are great, and their staff is friendly. I plan on going again and maybe being a bit more adventurous on my next visit. I’m giving them a four for now, but if their other dishes are as good as their pitas, I will bump them to a five.

I found nothing authentic about Sophia’s food. Chicken skewers dry and lacked seasoning. Tzatziki would have helped but there wasn’t any included in my take out. I ended up using a packet of mayo on the chicken. Rice had what appeared to be frozen mixed veggies in it. It was tasty but too greasy. The avgolemono soup was inedible and it too had mixed veggies in it??? Thin and not lemony at all. Chicken pieces were just about non existent and hardly any orzo. Salad had a scoop of potato salad(really???) on top of it that was sprinkled with feta. The side of Greek style dressing was good though. And the salad was fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. I wouldn’t return to Sophia’s.

I went after a long day of work one night and I wanted to try it. This was delicious and tasted authentic(although I am not Greek so do not trust my knowledge on the cuisine lol). I got the gyro platter with aveglemono and both were tasty! I would come back here for a good to go dinner and I want to try other greek foods too as the menu looks delicious.
