Sta’n Pla Motel

We really enjoyed our short stay to this motel. It is close to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. She recommended a yummy place for dinner. The room was clean and comfy. I actually felt like I could walk around barefoot. At only $ 92 a night, it was a great value.

For a motel it’s perfect! Very cute very clean. Love the «wood look» floor. Memory foam mattress. We slept great. Sofa bed also included. Kitchenette clean and included everything we needed (if we were going to cook but didn’t — only because I was on vacation.) microwave, stove– 4 coiled electric burners, Efficiency size fridge & stove, toaster, dishes, pots & pans, cutlery, dish rack, liquid soap for dishes & even a new sponge to clean dishes. Flat screen TV with Wifi. Beautiful landscaped grounds with nice clean pool. Also saw beach cruisers bikes to rent. One thing to keep in mind is that there is NO Maid service unless you ask for it. The lock on the door was a little «rickety»… But I still felt safe. Definitely would stay again. In fact when we go back to Clearwater we are staying at the Stay n Play.

This place is okay. The beds were small and the room was humid and muggy but the location was nice and the pools were nice and the staff was very friendly… the place could use a few updates here and there but all in all it was okay.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with 5 other best friends. two double/​full beds in one room with a bathroom and a sofa bed in the living room/​kitchen. Pretty small but we only really used it for sleeping and it was in good condition. Pretty good motel for the price and location and to accommodate all of us. Owner I think she was, was really friendly and laid back. Would definitely recommend nothing like a five star hotel but it’s clean, comfortable and the service is great. cute pool in the middle of it all :) and literally a nice walk to the beach and tourists services.

Check in process was a little slow. But the girl working behind the desk was super nice. Our group booked 6 rooms for the weekend in their «remodeled» location. I think it was remodeled 15 years ago. However, the room seemed clean so we were OK with that. Right off the bat I noticed that the room didn’t have a blow dryer. We requested one around 2:00PM which was going to be delivered to our room. Around 5:00 we went out for the evenening. No blow dryer yet.
The next morning I realized we still had no blow dryer and toilet paper. I went first thing in the AM to the desk since check out was at 10:00. Little early in my opinion. There was a different lady behind the desk that we saw the day before sitting around the outside motel. She proceeded to argue with me that we had toilet paper in our bathroom cabinet. I asked her to come see for herself. We didn’t even have a cabinet in the bathroom. Another employee told her our room 111 didn’t have a cabinet. I don’t know why she had to argue with me. Also asked her for the blow dryer that I never got the night before. She told me they didn’t have any available and if I wanted on she would have to go to another property. She made no effort to get me a blow dryer. The other NICE girl showed up and we asked her. She pulled the dryer out from behind the desk that the rude lady was sitting.
For less cost we could have stayed at many other newer hotels with ammenities. We won’t be going back there again.

This was a nice place, but five stars? Come on, it’s a motel! This was a very nice beach motel. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It’s a short walk to the beach. The beach was very crowded. I’d suggest driving down to sand key state park.

This is definitely more than a motel! I have stayed in other «hotels» I’m clearwater and this place is way better! The rooms were very clean and I experienced the best customer service. I witnessed the male front desk worker literally run for guests accommodations on MANY occasions. Then I ordered take out and did not recurve any forks. I asked the male desk worker while he was doing something else and he personally found forks and then delivered them to my room. The prices are very reasonable and the location is great. I will always rebook this hotel
