We come here on a regular basis. The food is always good, the portions are huge and the price is right. The homemade desserts are superb. The daily specials are a bargain and delicious. I recommend this resyaurant to anyone looking for grest food at a grest price– breakfast, lunch or dinner you will find something for everyone.

We had fried mushrooms, fried catfish and grilled teriyaki salmon. It was all really good. Waitress was very attentive and friendly.

I had the Greek Salad which I had many times and was disappointed this time. The other entrees were really good but opted to give four stars instead of five this time. The key to be top notch is consistency. I would have to try it again but Not happy this time

Ive only been here for breakfast– but it was good. The resturant was slammed busy so our waitress was a little forgetful on a few of our ordered items. I live close by and this place always has a full parking lot.

Our waitress was abrupt and gave us poor service. The food was not good, and the rhubarb pie was the worst that I’ve ever had. It must have been in the back of refrigerator in Siberia. The crust was horrible — perhaps from freezer burn. Frozen, inexpensive Banquet dinners would have been better than their pathetic grub. We ate here twice, but never again.

The menu was overwhelming because there were so many choices but we all ordered different things and they were all absolutely delicious! For dessert we had a slice of banana crème pie and key lime pie and they were perfect! I was very impressed by this place because it looks like a little unassuming diner from the outside.

Menu is too big. So much to choose from. I think it should be reduced down to their best dishes only. Feature what they do great at and focus the quality on those meals. Dinner: I had the prime rib which was swimming salty liquid. I ordered medium rare but it was more like medium well. Hard to tell because it was swimming in sauce. The bread was excellent. Tasted like it was made fresh that day. My husband got the lasagna and he rated it 7 of 10. He said he enjoye it a lot. Dessert: We loved the pies we all got. My friend got keylime pie, my husband got the peanut butter choc pie, and I had the pecan pie. As we drove home, my husband was tempted to turn around to get another piece of pie. LOL

The prices are good and the food is great. Why 5 stars? Besides the fact that the food is inexpensive and good their Key Lime pie is the BOMBDIGGITY! You have to try it!

Dropped in this place the other night after moving all day. There staff was super friendly and the food was great. We both had the open face roast beef and it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were really and the roast beef had great flavor. The portion size was huge! We will share next time. We also tried the famous key lime pie and it did not disappoint!

Very good food and the best service around. Come here as much as possible. French dip sandwich is very good. Going for a Patty Melt today. The best homemade pies, especially the chocolate pie with chocolate and caramel on top. Great for quick take out. Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Sausage gravy… Out of a can Corned beef hash… out of a can For the love of god, does anyone in Clearwater actually make a good breakfast that doesn’t come out of a can!!! I so was hoping I found a good breakfast joint. Instead I found a place with canned food. How disappointing… The staff is friendly and the canned food is hot. I really wanted to like this place. I don’t understand how this place has such a high Unilocal rating. Must be the pie!

Every once in a while you find a hidden gem of a restaurant that you overlooked for years… this is one of those places for me. I have driven by a thousand times and never eaten here until recently. This is a typical mom & pop type family restaurant with a broad based menu of family favorites and comfort food. In 3 or 4 visits, we have never had a bad meal or bad experience. All of the dishes seem to be very fresh, and well-prepared. My favorite is the Shepards Pie, which is an every-day special. You need to come early or they can run out. The specials come with a soup or salad, and a desert. On days when they have peppermint ice cream, it’s like I hit the jackpot! They also serve award winning(literally) pies, including their famous key lime pie. Definitely worth a slice. Sunset Grill is definitely a new part of our regular restaurant rotation.

Pie, pie, pie, pie, pie. PIE. That’s really all you need to know. The pie here really is phenomenal, it’s not just a front, it’s not a gimmick to get you in the door, it’s for real. The food was fine, nothing blew my socks off, EXCEPT the pie. I wasn’t honestly expecting much, in Florida you get a lot of «SO-IN-SO’S BESTPIE!» or, «BESTPIEINRANDOMCOUNTY», etc… so I take that with a grain of salt. I got the Key Lime Pie, even though it wouldn’t normally be my first pick, just because it had been mentioned so much in the reviews and is clearly the gem. My boyfriend got the Coconut Cream Pie, which is his favorite kind of pie. SORICH, the texture was amazing, the flavors were on point. The crust was great, a graham cracker crust with clearly a «secret» ingredient” to make it stand out. I will say I preferred the Coconut Cream Pie, but that’s simply personal preference. If you are a pie fan(and if you’re not, what’s wrong with you??) this place is well worth your while. We will be back, likely only for pie. We now both want to try all of them. :) P. S. — PIE.

I love key lime pie. When a restaurant has it on the menu I have to try it. Whipped cream can hide a multitude of sins I feel the best way to rate it is to take the first bite without the whipped cream. This key lime pie is amazing. The custard is firm and creamy. The tartness of the key lime comes through without being aggressive and overpowering. The most sublte, sublime piece of key lime this Florida girl has ever had. By the way, Sunset Grill is a lovely little gem in Clearwater. The staff is friendly. The space is comfortable and carries a beach theme throughout. We will be back for a meal very, very soon

First time Generous servings, very fast service, hot food… oh, and it all tastes great. Special orders don’t upset them. Had a seafood platter, but wanted to replace the shrimp with more fried clams… no problem. Fish not great, a little mushy. Stir fried shrimp declared excellent. Key lime pie is a grand prize winner for a reason! A new go to spot.

I was thinking Sunset Grill, alright this will be on the beach, but I was wrong it’s on Sunset Point Rd, nowhere close to the beach or a sunset. It’s your typical«elderly person» restaurant/diner. They have everything under the sun, there was about five pages to the menu. Not a speck of salt(seasoning) on anything and therefore no taste. I went in with low expectations and my expectation were met. That’s all I can really say.

Okay so I give this place 4 stars, have been by it many times but found it on Unilocal, thank you very much. So we pull in the place on a Saturday morning for breakfast and there is no parking whatsoever, so we parked on the street and walked, afraid there would be a major line but we were pleasantly surprised to see there were many many tables open, they obviously don’t have enough parking for the size of the place. But we sat down, tried multiple omelettes and a pancake and everything was very good, the pancake was a little large and thick for my liking but it was light, not like a piece of cake. The place is very very clean, and they advertise they have the best Keylime pie in the nation, so I decided to challenge that and bring a piece home along with a piece of carrot cake, they have a very large case with many different types of pies and cakes and they all look wonderful so I will return to try others, but as far as the key lime pie goes it was excellent so I see why she one for this I would recommend trying it. It looks like they have a full bar and do lunch and dinner so I cannot comment on that but as far as breakfast goes, the pies and cakes I give it thumbs up and will return.

My dad used to take me here after baseball games in the 1986. We used to come for the prime rib special. I talked to the lady at the register and apparently it has changed hands a few times since I was here as a child, but it still has the same feel, and great food. The menu is huge! So many things I wanted, I had to ask the waitress for help. Decided on the Gyro and potato salad. I don’t think you can pick wrong here. Now that I moved back to the area, I will definitely stop in when I’m on this side of Tampa for great food and great memories.

Sunset Grill serves decent food at more than decent prices throughout the day. And everyone who works there is super friendly. Add in the fact that if you need something to eat before or after a Phillies/Threshers baseball game, Sunset Grill is not very far away at all. But the number 1 reason by far to go to Sunset Grill is that they serve Albanian Catfish. Catfish Albanian style is a tasty treat. Diced tomatoes, peppers, and onions enhance the flavor of the fish. Order it over a bed of rice as they do in Old Tirana to soak up the juices, add hot sauce for a little kick … and presto — this dish is why Sunset Grill should be on your radar.

We’ve driven by for years and so last night we decided to give it a try. It is very close to the entrance to the Top Of The World community and rightly so, caters to those folks. We were seated in an unusual booth that is one of two between the bar and the kitchen… not exactly a prime location to get the lay of the land. However, the waitress was quite friendly and helpful despite our secluded location. They have quite an extensive menu. I ordered the beef stew over noodles(one of the daily specials) with a side salad and my partner ordered the grilled chicken breast with a baked potato and the chicken Rosalini soup. My side salad was pretty basic and the beef stew was a flavorful huge portion(even for me). The grilled chicken was very tasty, too. It had some delicious Greek seasoning on it. My only disappointment was that I did not order the chicken soup, as well. We both had one of the complimentary desserts(rice pudding) and it was very good. For a reasonable Greek diner meal, the Sunset Grill is a good place to try. On our next visit, we will order some Greek dishes… particularly the lamb shank.
