Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Since this place has low star. I am trying them out for their new smoothie. The time I went is 3 pm and not many of people. The place is a bit of small and have a few table.
I am trying up their new Avocolada. It is a mix of avocado, lime, coconut, spinach, kale, and pineapple. It is a good combination with smoothie ice. Taste is great. The drink was prepared in 5 min. Not bad for the price for the large size cup.
My experience here is ok may be is off hour.

They helped the woman in front of me but then never came back to the register. I waited patiently as there was a beehive of activity, but not so much as eye contact or a welcome. I kept waiting and finally turned to a guy in a chair, shrugged and walked out. Seemed like a young inexperienced crew. Is customer service truly dead?!! –At this location it is!

I really love tropical smoothie, but not this location. The store is pretty small and the service is not that great.
There’s a very young crew that works here and my first time visiting I was questioning in my head why the girl making our smoothies is wearing short shorts.
Hmm???
But I do like tropical smoothies food and smoothies compared to other chain smoothies near by. Too bad Jamba Juice has been gone forever :(

I love Tropical Smoothie but this place is the worst! I have been there many times and have to keep going, only good place close to my job. Customer service is the worst!!! They don’t care and they are rude! They have royally messed up my order twice! There seems to be only 2 employees there that are nice and actually care. Phone etiquette is horrible, once they answered the phone by just saying hello, I had to ask if I was calling Tropical Smoothie (same guy looks like he’s high all the time and says inappropriate comments); they ask «is that all» after every item you order and don’t even bother to say goodbye just «it will be ready in 10 to 15 min» CLICK!

Don’t go here if you can help it. The wraps they serve are the smallest wraps I’ve ever purchased. Definitely not worth 6.99.

Love their smoothies, but they don’t accept tropical smoothie coupons. I know it always says «at participating stores only» on coupons, but come on. When do you ever come across a store that doesn’t accept it’s own brand’s coupon? I got their newest food option: spicy Mongolian steak noodle bowl. Tastes and looks exactly like one of those meals from healthy choice in the freezer section. Very unimpressed and annoyed about the coupon. It really stinks because this is my favorite place to get smoothies.

This was my first time here and the smoothie was very very good. I did notice that they had food as well but I had already eaten so I only came for a smoothie. There weren’t as many choices as smoothie king but they seemed to have most of them covered. The staff were rather short and rude though like it was an inconvenience that customers had walked in.

When you’re trying not to do «fast food» but something healthy this is the place to go. Whenever I come here they always quickly take my order and it seems clean. Any place where I can see the workers wearing discardable gloves which they change each time they fix your food is a plus to me.
I always order the Island Surprise because it has Kale & Spinach in it, yet the perfect balance of fruit so that it really tastes good. My daughter loves it and I resort to coming here at times when she gets set in her toddler ways and refuses to eat anything at home and turns her nose up at any veggies… this is mom’s clever way of sneaking it in and I tell her that it’s ice cream (bwahahahaahaaaa!!)
The chicken pesto for $ 3.99 tastes great, it’s on flatbread with melted cheese, chicken and the pesto… it’s’ really good! Even my finicky picky toddler likes it and that my friend is an accomplishment.

The smoothies here were great when I went there. I ordered the Blimey limey which was surprisingly delicious considering that I was addicted to Jamba Juice and they are the standards to which I hold all smoothie chains.
I also ordered the Baja chicken flatbread sandwich, It was really good but not as flavorful as you would expect from something with the word chipotle in the title and was rather small for a $ 4 sandwich. But for a health themed establishment they are probably trying to save me from myself.
overall, I will probably bike here again.
