Quick wait was well worth it! We had the crêpe and the French toast(more like a French toast casserole) and it was amazing!!!

Returned 3 days in a row and ate a different breakfast each day. Wow! The biscuits are amazing. Puffy, crisp outside, so light they supply a butterfly net with each order so they don’t float away. Ok, so no butterfly net. The almond top and bottom crust on the almond chicken quiche was stunning. Next time we visit the area, we will look forward to this place.

This place is cute. Apparently it’s normally not busy but when we got there they were very busy. You could tell they’re not used to it as the staff were in overwhelm. But once we sat down we were helped immediately and the waitress even hurried us to order before a table of 11 placed their order. That was sweet of her. I asked for tuna not to have extra mayo or tomatoes on it(I know how silly that is but that’s the way I like it). It came without tomatoes but there was mayo on the bread, as well as a whole side of mayo. I let our waitress know and she offered me a cookie as an apology. She was so cute about it. It was unnecessary as I had already scraped off the extra mayo and ate the sandwich but it was sweet all the same. When I live here I’ll come again. But I’ll come before 11, as I had come for breakfast(thinking I saw they served it all day) but I was sadly mistaken.

This place rocks! Service, Food, pastry shop, ambience, etc. All great! The servers have such a smooth, peaceful way about them, they are like people-whisperers. I watched one of the servers whisper a client into submission in the kindest and most respectful of ways… It was awesome! She mind-handled a disgruntled client who had ordered the wrong«Tart» thinking it was a «Quiche». By the time the server was done with her, the lady was willing to accept she screwed up by ordering the wrong item, willing to pay for the more expensive quiche, and apologized for her mistake. I loved it… The server was sooooo nice, the partially lobotomized client just admitted she was missing part of her frontal lobe while attempting a smile :-) The food was very fresh and tasty. The coffee was excellent. Also, the shop next door to them(also owned by Wildflower) has the most amazing Orange juice and scones. The only thing I wasn’t too crazy about was the older face-lift victims that frequent Wildflower Café. I witnessed a lot of rich-wannabe older ladies who obviously inherited their defunct husband’s 401-K and/or life insurance and are just itching to show the world they now drive an E-class Mercedes. We had some of these poor creatures sitting behind us and they talked about their yard-man, their pool-boy, and the car-wash guy(I promise I am not making this up). They were all in their late 60’s /early 70’s and dressed in some sort of Nike workout clothing… It was hilarious, except for the part where they wouldn’t shut up about the pool boys. But let me make it clear: I am not holding these ghosts against Wildflower Café. We will definitely return when I am in Clearwater area.

Decided to drop by for lunch and am so glad that we did. It’s a very busy place at lunch but the wait time was only about ten minutes. We decided to eat inside. It is a very bustling place. After eye-balling the Daily Specials’ board, we decided to get the Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad.($ 11)(see pic) It came with some of their lemon bread which is similar to a pound cake and a cup of their absolutely awesome Vegetarian Tomato Basil Bisque! If you ever eat here(and I hope you do) you have to get a cup of this bisque. On our way out, we were looking at their dessert case and were told about the store that the Wildflower Café runs next door to the restaurant. We scurried next door to find a treasure trove of wonderful cookies, cakes, delicacies and ‘grab-n-go’ items. Because we both have a bit of a sweet tooth(or teeth), we got a few of their Giant cookies: Chocolate Crinkle, Key Lime Coolers and Chocolate Pecan. OMG!

Food and service were excellent, We had a Country Omelette, and the Wildflower Signature Scrambled plate. The omelet was large and truly a masterpiece, with really fresh mixed greens on the side. The Signature Scramble was basic, but good, a little on the small side. For most people it would be just enough. There is plenty of parking, efficient service, friendly hostess and big picture windows. The prices! Inexpensive! Really a nice surprise. Tip: They have home fried potatoes, but only on Sundays. See the photo of the dining room I posted.

Atmosphere is nice and the staff was terrific. Drinks took awhile(they were busy) but our waiter took them off the ticket. We weren’t concerned with it at all as we weren’t in a hurry. That type of service is amazing! I had the signature scramble which was really good, the biscuit is fantastic as is the honey butter. My daughter had the French toast which was delicious but she didn’t care for the texture that is really soft, almost soggy. Will definitely be back.

Pros: food was decent and hostess was very nice Cons: service was really slow, I had to ask twice for a water by same server who had plenty of time to chat with another table and ask if two in the party were going to use the bathroom, cheesy grits were just cold grits with unmelted shredded cheese on top. Omelette was decent but had too much parsley on top and had white doilies underneath it, which made me feel like it could have been more sanitary. The biscuits are more like scones without much flavor. While fresh fruit was actually fresh, the strawberry still had leaves on it. It would be hard to imagine returning.

This is such a cute place! Perfect for a date, which is why I went here after searching high and low for nice brunch places in the area. I came here for that very reason in the summer and it was wonderful. My boyfriend got the mini waffles, which were soooo good. I had a pot of tea, I can’t recall what flavor but they brought out quite the selection for me to choose from, and were so patient in waiting for me to decide. I think I also had an omelette. I do recall liking what I ordered. The ambience and service is what blew me away, and I’d definitely come back and check out the display case of pastries at some point. I also got a really nice fluffy biscuit with yummy honey butter. I would go back and would recommend it to friends :).

Wildflower Café is a quaint café. I do love the atmosphere here. It’s laid back and sweet. It looks like a relaxing place to get some decent breakfast and lunch while you lounge in their patio. They have an egret that comes by too. His name is Henry. It’s always good to be welcomed by a 3 foot tall bird. He hangs out in the front sometimes, looking for food. They specialize in breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. They have quiches, waffles, french toasts, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and various other pastries. I tried their The Wildflower Triple for breakfast. It comes with bacon, some fruits, belgian waffle and scrambled egg. It was all good. The belgian waffles was nice. The presentation was pretty as well. I do love the cream it comes with the entire dish. Their Croissants were nice and fat. It was a huge croissant. It was fluffy and tasty. Their quiches were hearty and good. They have spinach and artichoke quiche, quiche lorraine, and some other quiche. I tried their spinach and artichoke quiche and their quiche lorraine. They both were made well and was good. I also liked their chicken salad plate. It was delicious as well. I liked the fresh fruits and veggies it came with. The chicken salad itself was good. You can get it with maple dressing, which is a sweet dressing. But I found it too sweet. It tasted too much like maple syrup. Luckily you can get your traditional salad dressings with it. Their biscuits are heavenly. They seem to make it in house. It is big, sweet, and fluffy. The honey butter they give you makes it even so much better. This place is pretty good. It’s one of the better breakfast/lunch places near the Clearwater area. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is nice, and the food is nice. I give it 4 solid stars.
