Yay yay yay! So glad that hubby found this place. We will return ASAP. Hope the weather cooperates so we can enjoy the outdoor seating.

What a great place… the atmosphere… authentic, cowboy style, the food… delicious…the serve… friendly and welcoming. I also like the fact that the waitstaff is not overbearing and TOO friendly like you get at other eateries, sometimes. There is not a lot of obnoxious noise either, even from the bar area. Yeah, the steaks are a tad pricey but are tender and yummy… WAYYYYY better than the run-of-the-mill joints around town… Applebees, Logans, Chili’s, etc. Also, what is quite interesting is that this nice, unique place is way out in the boondocks, way off the beaten path, situated right on a cattle ranch… yet, they have plenty of patrons… just goes to show how word-of-mouth spreads. I am looking forward in going back. Wonderful experience!

The food is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, the wait staff are A+#1.(ask for Dana or Brittany) I love the catfish and my husband loves the chicken fried steak. We definitely get our money’s worth! Couldn’t ask for a better steakhouse. I highly recommend Fly By Night for a intimate setting or for the whole family. Give em a try, you won’t be sorry!

There were three of us and we waited almost an hour to get a table. We had to wait outside and the wind was blowing very cold I might add. We sat down and waited for the staff to take our drink order for 20 minutes. Three other tables that sat down AFTER we did had already gotten their drinks & salads. By the way we never got our salads at all. They skipped that part of our meal. I had to ask the waitress if she could bring us some of the rolls(cold). When we did receive our steaks they were cold too. I was very disappointed in the service we received. The waitress didn’t even have the guts to bring our ticket to the table — she sent a 10 yr old little girl over with it so she wouldn’t have to listen to anything. Thing is neither my husband or I ever complain to the wait staff, it doesn’t do any good. No adjustment on the ticket for not getting the salad we ordered, that was supposed to come with the meal. I hope this place gets some experienced wait staff. It could be a very nice place to go if the employees acted like they cared you were there. Good Luck with your endeavor. We won’t be back and its really to bad because we live close!!!

I really want this place to get good staff. The food is a bit overpriced but good. I cannot handle the bad service and hostesses/waitstaff that seem to not care if you are there or not. Our first visit was forgivable because it was so new. The beer was cold and the food was good. On our second visit we waited on a not busy night 30 minutes for a table. It drove me crazy looking at dirty tables that we could have been seated at. If it had not been for the cold beer keeping me busy we would have just left. On our latest and probably last visit ever we brought a group of 8 people with us. Upon arrival one table was ahead if us waiting to be seated. We were told it would be a 45 min wait. I figured this was just an overestimate because by simply looking around the place you couple see empty tables as well as all the outside tables were empty(in need of cleaning). After 20 minutes of standing out side looking at the large table we couple be sat at and swatting all the flies away, I decided to offer to clean it myself. I asked for a bus tub and a towel to clean the table off from 2 different people, both people said they would clean it. Ok. I then asked if a waitress was assigned to the outside area, the answer was yes and a dark headed girl came out to see what we wanted. I asked her if I could clean the table so we could sit down to eat. She once again(20 minutes has passed since my first asking) she said she would get someone to clean in. Note this is not a busy place, yes they have several customers but cannot seem to handle it. I just cannot paying this kind of $$$$ for service that you expect from McDonalds. It is a cool place with good food and I hope they hire good help soon. We left and took our business to Dicky’s BBQ… I guess I’ll go review that now.

We thought we would stop in and try this place for the first time. It looks cute on the outside, but don’t be fooled! This was one of the WORST dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. First of all we arrived at 7PM and they seemed flustered that we had a party of 6. The hostess told us there was a party of 6 before us and we proceeded to wait outside where a nearby dog hung around begging for food and flies swarmed causing a nuisance. We got seated about 7:40. They said they were trying to find chairs. Our waitress was new and to no fault of hers, was not trained properly. Most restaurants have a buddy system for training before they throw the wait staff out there to handle dinner rush on a Friday night. I can’t fault our waitress too much for not being trained, but she could not keep up with the demand and continuously had to be told OVER and OVER again for simple things like ice and refills. We started with the«shot gun shells» appetizer which are jalapeños stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon, then deep fried. This was the best thing we had all night. After we had ordered our meal, the waitress came back out to let us know they had run out of potatoes. Great. A couple of us got salads with our meals and they came out about 30 minutes after the appetizer and she forgot one and I had to remind her that I too, had ordered a salad. We FINALLY got our food at 9:00PM. Everyone’s steak was overcooked and fatty. It was definitely something I could have cooked better at home. There was an attempt to put a pat of butter on top of the steaks, but the steaks weren’t even hot enough to melt the butter. Seasoning was pepper. Overly peppered to say the least. I got the«garlic smashed potatoes» which lacked garlic, or any seasoning for that matter. Other people ordered the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken which they said were okay. The green beans and pinto beans were not good at all. There was also no bread offered and no one apologized for the delay or the overcooked steaks. In fact, one of the owners left when things got hairy. This was a complete waste of time and money. I will not be returning and would not recommend this to anyone who has an expectation of quality food and service. If the owners keep this up, they won’t have a business at all.

A very neat place for a GREAT casual steak. The Signature Ribeye is AMAZING. We’d been several times before. The Signature Ribeye was phenomenal the first time, then there were a couple of trips where they were breaking in a new chef. Those steaks were OK. Just went back tonight, and they’re BACK!!! My GF and I share an appetizer, the Signature Ribeye, and a desert and we’re STUFFED. Cool atmosphere, great steak, and reasonable prices. The Signature Ribeye comes with Cowboy Corn, baked potato, and a salad for $ 39.95. If you haven’t tried them, do so. If you have, and didn’t love it, try ‘em again.

I had the best chicken fried steak for dinner last night. My husband and I split it and still brought some home. We had onion rings for appetizer and they were very good too. Nice out of the way place. The directions on this app are a little off but watch for their sign and you will get there.

Neat new place in Cleburne. I have been there on several occasions. The BBQ is really good. I love their calf fries and their onion rings are sliced fresh and battered right there. They have peanuts on the table for you to enjoy while you are waiting for your food. There are tables outside and on the weekends they build a fire in the pit outdoors. There is also a party room for large groups. The steaks are ok and there is not much choice in cuts. There is plenty of cold beer but the wine list needs definite improvement. I will continue to patronize the joint as it does improve every time I visit there.

Expensive and overrated. This place processes their own cattle and serve it to their customers. The $ 30 ribeye had too many veins of fat. The baked potato was boled and then reheated, no flavor and butter didn’t even melt. The ice tea was good. The beer was cold but the mug was not. We won’t return.
