My daughter and I were in Cleburne for a conference last weekend, and chose to have dinner at Pasatfina’s based upon previous reviews. The only thing that was nice about our experience was the fact that there was no wait to be seated. We were seated in a booth, which had big holes in both seats. The bread was hard and flavorless, and our salads consisted of brownish iceberg lettuce, one small tomato and dressing. We both ordered the pasta sampler. Our food tasted like Chef Boyardee ravioli! The food was served in an extremely hot dish with baked-on, black and brown yuck all-around it. Also, there’s something terribly wrong with the water in that town. Every beverage we ordered tasted like dirt. We finally learned that we had to order soda without ice to eliminate the earthy taste.

I waited until I had eaten here a few times before writing a review. I wanted to ensure the consistency was on. It is on. The Salmon Newburg is absolutely amazing! The salmon has a wonderfully seared crisp to it, yet it is tender and juicy. Everything I have had there is wonderful and the atmosphere is great for a big family lunch as well as a quiet couple’s dinner. I am giving them 5 stars because of consistency. Sure, I have eaten at more posh Italian restaurants in the past; however, for the price, this place beats the socks off of Olive Garden and other moderately priced chain restaurants. So, if you want a really decent Italian dining experience without pulling out a second mortgage on your home, give Pastafina’s a shot. I’ll bet you won’t be disappointed. The price is fair, the food is awesome, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is fine in a moderately upscale chain restaurant sort of way. It is one of my favorite places to dine in Cleburne.

Had a delicious dinner here last night. There were three of us but we shared two meals. The rolls are good but the meals were outstanding.

Was very nice. Jesus, our server, was wonderful. We tried the combo and the sampler for 3 of us(just 2 meals). Was plenty of food and we got to try a little of everything. THOUGH…on the way out, we saw someone had a meatball sub and we totally had sub-envy. Luckily, we were no longer hungry because otherwise, mom might’ve tried to sneak it away from him… The bread was good too — not the super-soft oil-drenched garlicky type, but the homemade, strong crust type. See photos. :-) Liked the creamy Italian dressing on the salad too. The house dressing looked weird, tomatoey… but dad seemed to like it… I’m not sure I would’ve.

Didn’t like my food, from the house dressing to the box taste entrée. The have went down hill and that’s so sad considering the Italian selections around here. Manager was very kind and took it off my bill and offered me something else

We were in town for a school event and wanted to eat at a nice place afterwards. Thanks to Unilocal we found Pastafina’s. The olive oil and garlic dipping sauce was amazing — fresh garlic and the bread was great. Dinner did not disappoint: everyone in our party was very happy with their meal. Highly recommended.

I would love to give more stars, but I can not. The only portion of this restaurant that is packed on a daily/nightly basis is the bar. Shame because they do have decent food. The bar entrance is right next to the regular dining area and the stench fills the dining area. I was almost tempted to call FD from all of the smoke pouring out of there. Hence, our dining experience was ruined. Last visit to this location.

My wife and I go to Cleburne at times for weekend getaways to get away from the city. This was our second time back. The bread is great! The entrees are good — I recommend items with marinara over alfredo sauce though as my wife ordered chicken alfredo and it was somewhat bland. I agree with a previous poster that our waitress this time around did not seem to know the menu(or language in the menu) very well at all. We will return when we come back to Cleburne.

I ordered the tortellini which came with pink sauce. The sauce was tasty and the tortellini were pretty good. I also had a side of meatballs which were not very good. They were soggy and did not look appetizing. Overall I was pleased with the meal and if I am back in town again I will return but will avoid the meatballs.

I have many favorite dishes at Pastafina, but for past couple years the hot wings are at the top of my list! We love the atmosphere and friendly service. On our last visit we has a sweet waitress named Sue. My husband had a fresh baked Stromboli and I had the ribeye steak. Everything hot, fresh and came out as ordered.

Coming in, the place was in alright shape. The floors were not swept very well but the table was clean. The waiter was nice. The first thing we received was the bread. It didn’t have much flavor. It was alright because it was a good bread but the seasoning they glazed it with didn’t leave an Italian bread flavor. We then got calamari for an appetizer. The marinara was great but the calamari was extremely chewy. Yes calamari is normally chewy but this was like chewing grizzle. I ordered chicken parmigiana with pasta fagoli soup. My soup came out & right away I knew it wasn’t right. First off the soup had no meat which is a part of any pasta fagoli soup. Next I tried it. The broth tasted like watered down spaghetti-o’s broth. It was disgusting. I barely was able to get the first bite swallowed. My meal came out. The pasta and sauce were good. The noodles were not over or under cooked. The chicken, however, was rubbery. The mozzarella they use is good so I just took it off the chicken and placed it on my noodles. My husband got a simple personal pepperoni pizza. He told me that in the end it was not good enough to even take leftovers. The environment was pleasant.

We go to Cleburne to visit a friend often, which led us to this place. Pastafina is THE Italian restaurant of Cleburne! Italian food options are slim in the town, but that’s okay with me, because this place satisfies on various levels– price, service, menu variety and most importantly, taste! It’s empty during the week-you could be the only one eating on a week night, but the weekends here are packed. This is one of Cleburne’s gems. Funny thing, I’m actually in Cleburne visiting my friend now… we might go to Pastafina.

WONDERFUL homemade Italian food and great service. This is our favorite place to eat in Stephenville and Cleaburne. Their homemade soups are marvelous! If you are around at lunch time, they have wonderful specials that include soup or salad for under $ 8. The bread is addictive, it is homemade and garlicky. It is not a chain, but has 3 – 4 locations throughout the area. Everything is fresh and really good. They don’t make the desserts, but I think they make everything else. I haven’t ever had a bad meal there, but my favorite is the chicken with lemon and capers. The eggplant Parmesan is also great and less than $ 10. The pasta is angel hair, not fat spaghetti. The pizzas are good. Not quite as good as New York, but really good for Texas :) If you are eating low carb, you can have vegetables instead of pasta — last night I had fresh — not frozen — grilled squash cooked perfectly. I“m not sure that is what they always serve, it may change. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited here while traveling on vacation, based on the Unilocal reviews. I can’t say enough good things about the food. They had awesome rolls and we ordered to die for garlic and olive oil dipping sauce to go with it. All of us ordered the Chicken Parmesan and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I would recommend trying it out the next time you are in town.

My wife and I always enjoy eating at this restaurant. Their bread is delicious and I always ask for some marinara sauce to dip it in. Our favorite appetizer is the order of fried zucchini. They are sliced a little fatter than french fries, then breaded and fried. They are always generous with the portion. For dinner I usually get the pasta primavera. Their veggies are always steamed perfect. Not crunchy, yet mot mushy. The white sauce is very rich and flavorful. Good size portions and decent prizes.

I lived in Cleburne for a year when I went to school at SWAU in nearby Keene. Coming from LA, I didn’t expect a town whose namesake was an obscure Confederate general would be on the vanguard of Italian Cuisine. I passed by here on a regular basis when I’d go to Chicken Express, which is next door. When I finally decided to try it, I was pleasantly surprised at everything. I forget the name of the plate I usually had, but it was a pasta w/Alfredo sauce, chicken, Italian sausage, and red bell peppers. TRYIT!!! Get their pink sauce for the garlic bread, it is delectable. Their soups are great too and their beer selection/bar is not too shabby either. I’m back in LA and I really miss this place now. It’ll definitely be one of the first places when I go back to visit.

Came to town to visit my father and he took me to Pastafina. We had good service although the waitress was new, didn’t know the menu well and forgot to order our appetizer… Even without it we had a ton of food. The bread is fabulous, I ordered the Salmon Newburgh, I can’t eat pasta so they replaced the pasta with sautéed spinach… it was amazing and a very generous piece. My step mother ordered the special, shrimp smothered in provolone with spinach and mushrooms and pink sauce. My father had the Veal Albanese, and loved it. For dessert we shared 2 cannolis I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting next time I am in Texas.
