West End Grill

As with all my reviews, I do not tend to give 5 stars to buffet style restaurants. With that said, West End does offer a menu; however, you can’t beat the buffet. Now, you have to understand that I am an old country boy who loves to eat good grub. While the buffet is small, it offers pretty much everything I want to eat.
Let me get right into the food stuffs:
BBQ Ribs — tender, juicy, and delicious.
BBQ Brisket — shiny with juicy goodness, tender, flavorful, and delicious.
The BBQ sauce is really good here.
Catfish — fried to perfection and good, meaty filets.
Chicken Fried Steak — pretty decent effort… I have had better; however, the pepper gravy actually has friggin’ pepper in it!
Mash Potatoes — buttery goodness!
Look, I have only been once (so far) and, even though I love to eat, I couldn’t put another bite in my mouth. Full does not described what I felt. Absolutely stuffed would be more accurate.
The waitress was super friendly and incredibly helpful. It being my first visit, I had a lot of questions and she happily answered every one of them.
If you are ever in Cleburne, Texas and looking for some good old downhome BBQ and other grubs, stop in at West End Grill and check out the buffet. One whiff and I bet you will be hooked.

Took my grandmother there today. Small buffet, veggies weren’t that good but she was happy.

Hadn’t been here in a few years but we were craving comfort food. The service was great! However at 5:45 on a Friday evening the food obviously had been there since lunch. It was really bad! Sorry to say I can never go back again. And we paid way too much for food that bad!

Years ago this was the place to go. If this was a 5.99 buffet, then it may very well be worth it. However, its extremely overpriced, the food is dry and bland. It took forever getting refills also. I highly doubt I will ever try it again. I gave them another shot and regretted it.

This was a decent place a while ago but their prices have become way overpriced. The food is decent enough but I can’t agree that their prices are anywhere close to the quality of the food.
If you are only looking at quantity then the buffet should suit you as long as you aren’t concerned with flavor or taste.

Love this place! Food is always good! Huge salad bar, catfish is tasty, enchiladas are the best! Great service, friendly owners… would highly recommend.

West End grill showed promise from curbside, touting itself as a Grill and Cantina. Inside, the fare proved to be a disappointment.
The service was good, greeted with a smile and seated quickly, but we soon learned that the only thing that makes the place a grill is I presume there is one in the back and the cantina consisted if a small bar in the corner.
The place is a buffet– just a buffet. The food was simple choices closer to a potluck than a restaurant. Food quality was simple, seasonings were few and slight.
As I said before the service team was good, kept drinks filled and dirty plates removed, but I can’t recommend based on the advertisement of cantina/​grill cuisine and the delivery of bland buffet. Skip it and go to Furrs next time.

I’ve been here a few times and I will say the brisket is pretty tasty. It’s an okay buffet and the ribs are a bit different than the barbecue I’m used to. Like I said the brisket is good. The décor is pretty cool to read and look at. I suggest if you’re in the mood for barbecue try somewhere that specializes in it. I mean they are good here, but I’ve had better.

Ate here once with my husband a few weeks ago. We were ready to try something new. West End Grill offers a fairly small buffet, but the food is great. The prices had gone up since previous reviews, but still not bad compared to larger restaurants. The service wasn’t the best (teenage girls) and some boys they obviously knew came in at some point. They spent most of their time talking to those boys, but they are really only there to make sure your drink is full and your empty plates are clean.
Great family place. Also great if you want to eat quickly since it is a buffet. Delicious peach cobbler, too!

This restaurant has great service and a great buffet. Variety of food to choose from and it’s always fresh. You have to stop by and try West End Grill at least once, especially if you like mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak, Mac n cheese, sweet carrots…
All you can eat and then some!

If you’re going to be in Cleburne, don’t miss out on this place! The restaurant is clean and the food is an all you can eat buffet for $ 8.99 and the food ranges from good ol’ Texas Barbecue to home country cooking (fried catfish, chicken fried steak with cream gravy, rolls, veggies, desserts) and great salads! The atmosphere is rustic /​country and they have a full bar, should you be so inclined. The restrooms are also spotless — which is a big plus for me! You definitely won’t leave hungry. Add to this the friendliness of the staff and it makes for a great casual dining experience!

This has been a place where my grandfather always takes us when we come to visit. The food is okay… but it has that «sitting out for a while taste»… its just not fresh… sorry. The people are great. Don’t get me wrong.

I made a review around April of 20 12 .I think it is time to update As of april 2013, we still find this a very good place to eat. I even eat the carrots and I am not a carrot eater

We stumbled onto this fine BQ buffet place by accident and are we gald we did
We have been there at least 7 – 8 times ine the last few months and have never been disappointed in the food, service, or atmosphere
Once in a while you will find the ribs not quite warm enough but am sure they would gladly warm them more if ask. I think they do it to keep them from drying out or getting tough. The sliced brisket is always tender They do serve fried fish which is very good and I am not a fish eater
I am not a person to eat fruit do not like any of it but the peach cobbler is as good as it gets there is none better in my opinion
Any place can have an off night or two so if you have had a bad one then try them again
You can’t even buy a BBQ sandwich in most places for less than 6.50 and here it is all you can eat for 8.99
Something else we have noticed is you do not see kids running around the buffet and getting in the food like other buffet places not sure why but we never have

FOR THIS AREA… WOW! I was so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is western and Clean. The ribs were real good. The staff excellent. And importantly very fast, but not hoovering. I was there during the Sunday after church rush. Nice variety on buffet,

I get sick everytime yet i love this place. its the only place in cleburne with a salad bar that i know of!!! and if you order off the menu and not do the buffet, try theburger.

This place has the freshest buffet around. It has something to please everyone!
