This restaurant is a hidden little gem that cannot be missed! The food is freshly prepared and the menu is versatile, unique and traditional! The waitress asked if we had any food allergies or special requests before we even ordered! We enjoyed the ricotta meatballs appetizer(which was a meal itself) the Caesar salad(freshly made as well) and our entrees came out hot which emulated their«freshly prepared» theme!!! Can’t wait to go back again! The owners really take pride in their food!

I heard about this place from family members and when I was in town visiting my nephew and taking him to dinner he suggested we go here. What a fantastic meal from this little gem identity in a strip center. Everything is made to order and from beginning to end the meal was incredible. We split the tequila mussels and if I could have drank the broth I would have… it was that good. The Caesar salad had the perfect amount of dressing and only served to compliment the entrée that was to follow. I had the scallops with delicious spinach and potato wedges to round off my plate. It was all there and presented beautifully. The menu has something for everybody and this place is a real find. I shall return…

So this was an interesting experience. First we couldn’t be seated until our whole party was there. Our table was just there empty I don’t see why we couldn’t sit down. Second there’s only one waitress and she was very abrasive. She started out telling us how everything is make on the spot so expect to wait. Well we waited a long time, we were there almost three hours for dinner. Also my wine glass I received was dirty when I asked for a clean glass I got an eye roll. The food was good very good but the service makes me not want to go back ever.

So they did it again. I can’t believe it, not only that but the woman who waited on me the first time I came waited on me this time and you aren’t going to believe it but she greeted me by my FIRSTNAME«who me?» Yes, Orlando you. SOOOO this time around I brought my 2 good friends with me. Tiffany ordered the Seafood Mac and my brother from another mother Ivan ordered the Seared Scallops over roasted potatoes. I got this Marsala styled pork tenderloin OMG it was phenomenal! These guys never seem to amaze me. One thing I can point out was that we ordered desert and they were good but not to die for. The bill was reasonable and everyone loved there dishes.

A friend of mine found this place, telling me it was said to be a «hidden gem», so we decided to check it out! I was blown away by the quality, flavor and presentation of each dish we ordered. This was some serious Italian food! We had the shrimp flatbread which was perfectly cooked and spicy. I got a Caesar salad with my meal, and I could tell the Caesar was house made and fresh. I was already stuffed by the time my dinner came(they serve a basket of various breads to snack on with your salad), but I pushed on. The short rib bolongese was by far the best bolongese I have ever had, and exactly what I want when I’m looking for some Sunday comfort food. I only wish they served alcohol, because I would have loved a cocktail to go with my meal, although it is BYOB. I will be back(with a bottle of wine), and next time I’ll save room for dessert!

The husband and I were on the hunt for a casual but«special» restaurant for some tasty Italian food with our 10 month old infant. This place hit the spot perfectly. The food was nice and different enough that I didn’t feel like I could simply replicate it at home without spending a fortune on ingredients. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet enough to not overstimulate our baby. I highly recommend the seafood mac and cheese! If you have room, split dessert with someone. They are all homemade and just as spectacular and yummy as the main course.

I can’t believe that it has such a high rating. Had dinner there last night and did not enjoy anything about the restaurant. The company I was with was wonderful — everything else was terrible. First the atmosphere was just a big open room and on top of that it was cold. Then the fun began… first came out the salad which was old and limp. Next our entries came out yuck. I had shrimp and crab over angel hair(the angel hair was done nicely) Fra Diavalo wasn’t that spicy — I had 4 medium shrimp and the crab meat was a disgrace — it was that cheap fake crab fingers they sell at Sam’s Club. My wife had a seafood medley over spaghetti, the clams were about 4“and very tough — needless to say she left most of it. My friend got chicken parmesan when it came out it looked like someone put a shoe on top of his penne(it was a thick chicken patty with plenty of filler) he also left 75% of his meal. Our bill came $ 104.00 with approx. $ 8 tax and we were in the holiday spirit and we gave a $ 25 tip for the meals none of us finished. Here is the kicker — our waitress came back and asked for $ 8.75 more — I guess she thought 25% wasn’t a big enough tip. after we argued over it she realized her mistake and said she was sorry — she never showed her face again, I guess she was embarrassed. We still left the $ 25 tip although I wish I didn’t now. I will never go back there again and I hope this helps anyone who might be thinking of going there for dinner.

Most of Tori’s food is excellent. For the life of me I cannot figure why they don’t know how to make French fries! They always come out slightly raw!

Great find! Beautiful ambiance! Everything is made fresh… and even the broth for our soup was home made(not from a can). It is so hard to find in our area!!! Delicious, tasteful, homemade! Can’t believe it took us 2 years to find it! We recommend!!!

We threw my mother in-law’s 70th birthday party there. It was a buffet but the food tasted as if it was prepared to order. Every thing tasted fresh and prepared to perfection. The wait staff was friendly and made us all feel very comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend Tori’s Bistro to anyone that is looking to throw a party or just go out for delicious authentic Italian food. *There seafood Mac’nCheese is fantastic*

I went tonight with my family, it was my second visit. The food is very good, huge portions, decent prices. That’s why I came back a second time. This visit, however, will probably be my last. I want to say the first time, our waitress was very sweet and made our visit enjoyable. Our waitress tonight, someone different, was not. She was ok enough for us, but she was extremely rude to both the hostess and the bus boy right in front of our table. It was awkward. The hostess was taking a couple to their table while the phone was ringing, and our waitress said to her in a not pleasant tone, «you need to answer that». The girl ran back to get the phone while the couple just stood there in the middle of the restaurant, unsure what to do. It was weird. Her service was whatever. I don’t really care about that. I’m a waiter, so when I’m out to eat I don’t really care if someone kisses my ass or not. She wasn’t very good, but that didn’t bother me. What did bother me as when she gratted our party 20% after tax. Usually places grat parties 18% before tax. Maybe that was on their menu, I don’t remember. Never seen it 20% after tax before. But it was also shady when she wrote the total with gratuity by itself on the other side of the bill, like she was hoping there was a chance we would put a card in without looking and tip double. I know the tricks. It’s dishonest. And if that wasn’t her intention, I can’t imagine why she turned our bill over to write the total by itself without context. I would recommend getting take out. If you want to eat in, hopefully you get a different server, one who isn’t rude to her coworkers and doesn’t try to rip you off.

If you only read the first few sentences, then take this into consideration: Early Bird specials from 3 – 6, soup, salad and choice of about 5 entrees for $ 12. And these are not senior sized portions, any meal that I have leftovers from has to be hefty. Tricia had been here a few times, she and other Unilocal associates rated it pretty highly. By the name I was expecting more of a soup, salad and sandwich spot. And after tasting the first 2 of those I would probably be satisfied it that’s all it was. It’s understated façade does not prepare one for the quality and value of the food found inside. The interior is slightly dark and contemporary, nice upscale lightning and some modern artwork begin to hint at the cooking style. Being a fan of great deals, we both opted for the early birds. Tricia selected Caesar salad and mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce over linguine, my choice was the house salad and chicken parm with penne pasta. Both meals came with pasta fagioli soup. And this was not canned, any old school Italian restaurant would be proud to serve this. Both salads were fresh and perfectly prepared, it would be tough to pick a favorite. The mussels were fresh and tasty, but not very meaty. But it was a good sized portion and the pasta and sauce were nicely done. My fowl was possibly the best example of this common dish that I ever had. Perfectly cooked and very tender, nice ratio of coating to cheese and sauce. And the sauce, thick vibrant and very unique. Using the 3 types of bread that comes in their basket, I sopped up any extra sauce on the plate. Based on the price I expected a smaller portion, but it was easily 12oz of chicken, one third of which made it home for a late night snack. Even though we were satiated, I convinced Tricia to share a dessert, for research purposes of course. All are made in house, and after some negotiating we agreed on a blueberry mousse. Perfect ending to our meal, it was creamy, fruity and had contrasting textures of white chocolate chips, pistachios and vanilla cookies. During the entire meal we were the only patrons except for one take out. That saddened me, I bet if the seniors tried these specials this restaurant would become the new Golden Corral. If I lived in this area I would be eating here regularly, and not just from the el cheapo menu. 4.25BYOB Unilocal

Had a very nice meal here. Meatball appetizer to start, Caesar salad and scallop dinner. Was a little disappointed in the 3 small scallops but the whole Plate was filled with a blush sauce, lump crab meat, spinach and roasted potatoes. Everything is made fresh to order and you can really tell the difference and that the chef takes pride in his food. Ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was HUGE. Couldn’t finish. Will definitely go back again. Such a cute BYOB.

Wow!!! This place is amazing. I had the penne with seafood and vodka sauce recommended my the server as a house favorite. It was better than I imagined it to be!!! I had a hard time deciding between that and the Lobster Mac & Cheese which is highly rated on Unilocal.I went in the early afternoon and there were only a few other guests and service was prompt. The salad which was just apples and goat cheese was a bit pricey for such a small portion and not worth the upgrade from the Caesar salad. I was disappointed in the dessert. I originally ordered banana walnut chocolate ravioli(YUM) which I was highly anticipating but they were sold out! :(Instead I settled on the cheesecake. Sadly it did not seem home made but packaged. I should have asked since I’m such a dessert snob! Lol. The raspberry sauce was bottled and my cheesecake was swimming in it. Less is more sometimes. The main course was so good and service was on point, I can’t help but give them 5 stars for exceeding my expectations in every other area. I want to try their entire menu!!! It was THAT good! I really feel those banana walnut chocolate raviolis would have been mind-blowing too! I can’t wait to try this place again! My husband, a chef, turned up his nose to this place assuming it’s some average run-of-the-mill Italian place. I can’t wait to drag him here and prove him wrong!

Always good, always fresh. Family owned BYOB where the love is in the food and you can taste it. I love the seared scallops and their Caesar salad is so good! My husband loves the braised short rib pasta but got the veal special this time and was happy he did, he loved it. Oh and the deconstructed cannoli and blueberry mousse(oh my god) are awesome! I’ve brought friends a few times and recommended it to others. Never been disappointed with Tori’s, it’s always delicious!

I rarely give out 5 stars, but take the time to read and you’ll see why this place deserves as much. Walking in you’re greeted by one of two ladies — the one we were greeted by had a charisma probably molded by years of being part of a successful business and truly enjoying it — you’ll know who I’m referring to when throughout dinner you’re met with one of the best service you can find at a casual restaurant. The place is dimly lit, the walls are a dark blue or black color, and the tables have somewhat dreary electric«flames.» Overall the food is that of an italian restaurant, but with the ambiance complementary to a very comfortable meal. So don’t let the romantic-esque vibe fool you, just sit down and let the magic happen. The menu can generally be split into two parts: one for a more casual dinner and the other for a more formal dinner. The menu doesn’t neatly split in half in such, but you can just tell which items are for casual dinners: wraps, burgers, paninis, fries. In comparison, the formal menu has seafood pastas, grilled fish, and short ribs. Sorry, there’s no pizza here, it’s not that type of italian restaurant. First up was an escargo in garlic butter special on a Wednesday night for $ 12, and it came on a piece of bread similar to a bread bowl, just steeping in that garlic butter sauce. I didn’t try it, but from my friend’s reaction it looked like a winner. I got an arugula salad($ 7.29) with goat cheese and apple slices, dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette. Very fresh and very delicious combination, but overdressed in my opinion. If I can wring out dressing that’s saying something. Another friend got a wrap($ 9.99) that looked as plain as a wrap kind of is, but it looked packed and very solid — comes with a side of soft french fries(you can probably ask for extra frying if you want it crispy). The last entrée, another special for the day, was a salmon($ 20)with a pesto base, and an accompanying seafood risotto and side salad. While the dish itself looked picture perfect, the dish came out too salty for my friend’s liking. Now so far with the exception of the salmon the food is definitely above average at least, with an ambiance and attentive service leading to a rating I would say around 4.5. The kicker, however, is that when they realized my friend wasn’t eating his salmon they came back, asked how it was, and immediately took the dish off the bill. There was no argument, no pointing fingers. Our waitress was 100% working with us. That’s when you know these people aren’t in the restaurant business just to make bank; they’re here to share their food. On that note, understand that all their food is cooked fresh(even the sauce is made fresh to order apparently!) so be ready to wait 10 minutes for your appetizer and 20 minutes for your entrée! Be patient, gossip with the waitress if she’s not too busy, and just enjoy yourself at this casual italian bistro! Lastly, the reason why this place deserves full marks is because it’s simply the best in the area. Lindenwold/Stratford/Voorhees just does not have too many food options, and among italian or seafood places Tori’s Bistro is definitely the way to go. Side note: $ 6.99 lunch specials(11am-3pm) and $ 11.99 early bird specials(3pm-6pm)

I had the vegetable pannini. The bread was thick and flavorful. There were large cut grilled vegetables and cheese in the sandwich. My only complaint about the sandwich was that it was a bit of a mess to eat. If they can get some more of the liquid out of the vegetables the sandwich would be even better. It came with a balsamic salad with apples in it. It was a nice pairing for the sandwich, though there was a bit too much dressing for my taste. The chicken cutlet sandwich is huge! The chicken hangs out either side, almost twice the size of the sandwich. The chicken was very good, it is served with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. I didn’t care for the fries that came with this sandwich, wedge fries that were a little cold and lacking flavor. We ordered for pick up. You could tell that everything was cooked to order. The woman that we dealt with to get our food was very pleasant. I can see myself ordering from here again. The area didn’t really need another Italian restaurant, but this place is pretty good.

Saw the reviews and wanted to try:) Bread basket and drinks served by very nice waitress. Husband’s short rib sauce and pasta was delicious. Son’s chicken fingers and fries were also great(we nibbled on it to taste)… He loved it! My dish was perfect except my chicken. Chicken was a bit bland… BUT the crab and risotto were heavenly! It was huge so this filled me up happily! We’ll be back:)

We’ve been to Tori’s two times in the past year. The first time was about a year ago and we left full and very confused as to why one of my go-to friends for restaurant recommendations said this place was top notch. My husband was not a fan of the Braised Short Rib Burger simply because it was extremely hard to eat and he wound up eating it with a fork. I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Fra Diablo which was lacking both shrimp and crab considering its $ 23 price tag. So basically our first trip to Tori’s we didn’t hate it and didn’t love it. A few weeks ago we were starved and in the area. Saw that Tori’s was still going strong with mostly if not all 5 star reviews. We thought we’d give it another shot and I’m definitely glad we did! I took the advice of my fellow Unilocalers and ordered the garlic mussels which were delicious. I ate every last drop. My husband and I both ordered the house salad(about $ 6) to start us off. He ordered the Chicken Cutlet sandwich which he said was definitely an improvement upon last year’s burger choice. My daughter ordered buttered noodles($ 7.29) that didn’t come with a drink. Pretty pricey for just a bowl of pasta with butter. Lucky for me I ate what she didn’t finish with the leftover sauce from my mussels. There were 2 or 3 other tables dining in the entire restaurant and our server seemed to be much more accommodating to the other tables. They had a basket of bread on their table, we never got ours and finally had to ask after we got our food already. She also didn’t come around for drink refills. But I digress… Glad to give Tori’s a second chance and next time I’m definitely going to try the Seafood Mac and Cheese!

I was in the area this weekend, and I’m glad that I utilized my Unilocal!app to find this gem! I saw that over 20 people reviewed this restaurant and that the rating was still five stars so I decided to check it out. The décor inside is truly unique. The are rustic paintings on the wall. The look to be sheets of painted, old fashion style metal. I am pretty sure that is the medium for the art work. The restaurant has cool illumination, which provides for enough light and intimacy in the same room. The service was decent considering only one woman running the whole room, during a late lunch for us. She was very kind and personable. She seemed to be the proprietor, but I’m not certain of this assumption. I ordered the pulled pork on a torpedo roll with broccoli rabe and provolone. The pulled pork tasted like it had been marinating for hours in a robust, flavorful meat base. The broccoli rabe was freshly prepared and the provolone shavings were perfect! Exquisite lunch! The fresh cut fries were more like potatoe wedges. They were perfectly seasoned. My only suggestion is that they cut the fries a bit thinner. My fries were slightly undercooked. However, I enjoyed their taste so much that I couldn’t bare to give this place four stars. My lady chick had the barbeque pulled pork sandwich. A tasty dish as well, but I preferred my dish over her bbq sandwich. Just a personal preference. It was still delicious. To end this lunch, we enjoyed the macadamia nut ice cream sandwich, that perfectly complimented the meal. I’m going to definitely become a regular. Keep up the amazing cooking!
