Clements Ridge is in rural San Joaquin County somewhat conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 12 and 88. They are located in a somewhat nondescript building with limited decoration and signage except for a lot of wildflowers along the road. Inside is the main draw with lots of options. They are famous for their pies, but I really enjoyed their jams and preserves. This stuff tastes just like grandma’s home cooking and you almost expect to see a bunch of them in the kitchen! They sell frozen and fresh pies along with fruits, vegetables, and other snacks for your journey. Sandwiches are available for a quick meal too.

Clements Ridge is great. The Tri-tip sandwiches are the bomb, fresh pie’s, fruit & veggies galore & the chocolate goodies are addicting. I’m now a regular. You will be too.

One word Pies! Clements Ridge has a little something for everyone, but really for us it is mainly about the pies! This wonderful little one stop shop offers up a great selection of local wines, local honey, jams, jellies, a nice selection of fresh produce, a deli with some GREAT tri tip sandwiches, as well as other types of snacks, gifts, and treats. But lets get back to those pies, cause that is what will really keep you coming back again and again(you will want to try them all!). They have a great onsite bakery with baked offerings such as apple, apple crumb, razzleberry, cherry, and so much more. You can also get a great selection of cream pies like coconut, chocolate, banana cream. Need more? How bout a blueberry or blackberry sour cream pie! Want one more pie variety? How about savory pie! That’s right, there is the traditional chicken, steak or chili pot pie, What? You don’t like pie? They still have you covered as they also offer a nice selection of pastries, brownies, cookies, breads, and a couple of great bread puddings. So a little bit of something for everyone here, why are you still reading? Shouldn’t you be headed to your car? I know I am!

We were hungry. C was getting low blood sugar grumpy. We were going to have to stop somewhere before getting up to Gold Country from the Bay Area. We stumbled upon Clements Ridge. Jackpot! Sweet and savory pies. Sandwiches. Fresh produce. Pickled produce. Barbeque tri-tip sandwiches(sometimes). Great service from this family owned and run business. Highly recommended. We’ll be back!

Clements Ridge is a great place to stop for supplies — produce, snacks and a drink — en route to the Sierras(if you’re going via 88⁄89). Spacious with picnic table(and a dog, if you are lucky) out front — they also have a sandwich shop(not vegan friendly). Big parking lot and super easy to spot when you turn north on 88. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Stopped here for lunch, not to purchase any of the many fresh fruits, veggies, nuts, etc. We went inside the deli portion of the building. They had fresh, home made pot pies, bread pudding, and many other bakery goods. It all looked delicious. But we came for the tri-tip sandwiches. You fill out an order form by selecting your bread, meat, cheese, and condiments. They were delicious. However, two sandwiches and one bottle of Pure Leaf iced tea cost just a few cents short of $ 20. The tea was $ 2.00 so the sandwiches were $ 9 each. That’s pretty darned expensive for a sandwich.

Drove through and stopped to see this cute little produce stand and get a couple things as we’ve stopped before and bought a holiday pies. My wife got a peach milkshake which ended up tasting like nothing but vanilla we were talked into trying and sampling they’re supposedly world-famous bread pudding. Yes the sample was quite tasty so we purchased a bread pudding and when we got it home it was molded straight green fuzzy smelling like penicillin. I understand that things take place but when they’re selling them right at the register maybe they should take the time to look at their product. I called and spoke with the Son and told him what had happened and all he could really do is say I can’t help you but I’ll tell my parents and will take your number and see what they will do. You would think as a grown man helping his family run a business he could make a decision on what to do for a $ 4 rotten food products that they were selling. But apparently these days a 40 year old man needs mommy and daddy’s approval to do anything. I’ve never had a problem with the two or three previous times we stopped but after this I probably won’t be getting any fresh supposes milk shakes or fresh baked goods maybe just sticking to a bottle of water and an apple next time.

This was my first visit and I was real impressed with this fruit/vegetable stand and bakery. I bought a freshly baked boysenberry pie and loved it! Flakey crust and just the right amount of berry sweetness! I also bought a slice of pear pie, but waiting to try it. This store offers a very large selection of fruit and savory pies, both freshly made and frozen. I was also impressed with the selection of handmade jams and jellies, wines, and fresh fruits and veggies. I bought a couple nectarines and pluots that were delicious! I would definitely recommend this store if your are looking for fresh produce and handmade pies and jams!

I’ve always loved this place for the fruit, nuts, cinnamon rolls… and the delicious sandwiches. I’m giving them 3 stars because even though the sign in front says«Deli Sandwiches open from 9−6» apparently they stop making sandwiches at 5:40. We were on a road trip and we’re really counting on delicious tri-tip sandwiches but arrived at 5:46 and were out of luck… even though the sign says they are open until 6. Lame and disappointing.

We have had their pot pies before and they were very good so we thought we would try their blueberry pie. I cooked it as per the instructions and it came out looking beautiful. However, when we cut the pie it was pie soup! The crust was very good but then you needed a spoon to eat it. It was whole blueberries and runny juice. Very disappointing.

Clements Ridge is a fabulous family run business. These folks go the extra mile to make their customers happy. We ski and drive from the the Central Coast. We take their pies to enjoy at the snow — YUM! And eat their amazing tri-tip sandwiches both directions, if we can. A stop at Clements Ridge is a great part of our trip.

My family and I have been making thirty minute trips(from Stockton) to Clements Ridge for about nine years now just to purchase jars of fruit preserves and boxes of their fresh fruit pies. The quality and freshness of their produce can be tasted from these items. It can’t get any fresher because they use produce they have grown and harvested in their farm to make their baked goods and preserves. We are such big fans of their pies that my family and I are always hesitant to purchase our pies from anywhere else. They are simply delicious! When you take a bite you are greeted with a buttery, flaky pie crust and a warm, juicy fruit filling. The boysenberry is amazing because of the contrast in texture and taste; sweet with a bit of tartness and a crunch from the seeds. The strawberry, peach, pear, and banana cream pie are also a must try.

Every time I come through here I get at least 3 of the frozen take and bake apple pies. These pies are really good, the best apple pie I have ever eaten. They have many other flavors but we always stick with apple, sometimes I will get a chicken pot pie and they’re great — and I didn’t like chicken pot pie before! Really worth stopping here, if anyone deserves eternal life it’s the lady who makes their pies — I hope she lives forever.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place. First of all, Marry me! Second, divorce me so that we can get re-married. So this review is strictly for the pies. 1. if you’re reading this and love apple pies, drive to Clements Ridge and buy yourself a few. You’re welcome 2. If you ran out of pies, head back and re-stock. You’re welcome. Seriously though, what do you do to these pies? They’re like crack and I’m in need of my fix.(of Pie that is. Crack is Whack) We drive all the way from Monterey to Clements just for these pies. They’re that good. You should definitely offer shipping for these pies if you don’t already.

I am so glad we discovered this place. This is a great family run business with yummy food and great produce. The owner was so genuinely nice. He greeted us warmly and chatted with us. He didn’t even mind our monkeys running around the place. We had tri-tip sandwiches for lunch which were delicious and pie for dessert of course. The crust on the pies are amazing. I definitely recommend the pear pie. In addition to the ready made food items, they carry all kinds of frozen sweet and savory pies. They have large bags of frozen ripe fruit you can buy for cheap too. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms too! We will be back for more:)

$ 3.50 will buy you a piece of heaven. We were determined to bring home some farm fresh produce and decided to make this our stop. So glad we did. Good selection of local produce. Seemed very fresh. Peaches and eggplant were excellent. I’ve had better vine-ripened tomatoes from our local farmer’s market. They also carry local jams, mustards, honey and other items. We couldn’t resist trying a couple of their treats. Somehow my husband resisted the pies(his favorite) but caved into my demands for a piece of the bread pudding. They carried a cherry and chocolate version. Went with the cherry despite being a chocoholic. So glad I insisted. May be the best bread pudding I have ever eaten. I can’t imagine the chocolate bread pudding being any better. Cinnamon bun was good but not amazing. Just go for that little(big) piece of heaven.

Amazing family stop! We smelled the BBQ as we drove past and had to stop. We shared BBQ sandwiches and browsed the produce and lovely store. The owner is an amazing guy. We told him that we loved his home made mustard and he came out to the picnic benches and shared the story behind the recipe. It turns out our grandmother has nearly the exact same recipe! He gave us mustard powder and told us to enjoy some family time tonight making mustard! His dog was super friendly and loved being petted. There is a good size garden/farm on the property that makes for great photos. This is definitely a must stop along the way to wherever you are heading!

If you are coming back from Kirkwood via Highway 88, make sure you stop by this place on your way back to the Bay Area. I highly recommend their tri-tip sandwiches(so satisfying after a day on the slopes) and amazing berry pies! There is also a good selection of jams, produce, nuts, oils, etc. I’ve done the [free] wine tasting too and the wines are very good. The place is family-run and they are very nice, friendly people. Their Golden retriever is so adorable too.

I absolutely love this little roadside gem! We stop here on the way to n from kirkwood and camping. The family is very down to earth, friendly and knowledgable on their products. The thing I really LOVE is they have all my essentials not even joking– fresh fruit for a good price, tri tip sandwiches, pot pies!!!, lots of local wine, yummy homemade desserts and frozen items to go like local grass fed beef. What more could you possibly want on a road trip. Oh forgot they do wine tasting too. Support this friendly locally owned stop. See you guys soon!

This place is great. Not only do they sell produce but also wine, desserts, and sandwiches. I come here for their pear pie; however, I do not limit myself to just one. Their coconut cream pie, blueberry pie, and apple pie are tasty. Their service is great, friendly and approachable employees.

Great selection of jams, oils, spreads, mustard, frog balls, etc… We had lunch, which consisted of the tri tip sandwich, and chicken pot pie, and a piece of the berry pie. The tri tip could’ve used more meat, it was mostly bread. The pot pie was pretty good, i’d order that again. The berry pie was a let down. We broke through the crust, and there were chunks of what seemed like flour, sugar, and berry juice. It was pastey and chalky. Meh. I didn’t finish it, and that’s very rare. We did bring home some mustard and frog balls, which you can’t go wrong with.

Good tri tip BBQ, perhaps a bit sweet for my taste(try Buster’s in Calistoga for amazing tri tip BBQ). Great selection of wine(including a great little tasting room), pies, honeys, and jams(but $ 12 for a medium-sized jar seems high). Nice covered outdoor seating. Definitely stop by on your next trip through town.
