Harris Teeter

I actually like this Harris Teeter location. I find it conveniently located right off 40 — it’s kind of «hidden» from immediate view from the highway but I like that I when coming home from work and I need to grab something quick, I don’t need to travel too far off the highway.
Like most Harris Teeters, yes, some items seem a little more expensive. I guess I don’t go crazy with grocery shopping anyways so for me, to grab a few items here and there, their prices are t too bad and sometimes I find that some items are actually cheaper…
MY FAVORITE NEW DISCOVERY ABOUT HARRIS TEETER (S) ARE THEIR DONUTS!!! Yes, all caps is needed when I wrote that because… Their donuts are THE BEST donuts I have ever had in 33 years of life on this planet. If you’ve never tired them before, you are missing out. They are amazing. Hearty and delicious! They make Dunkin’ Donuts or Krispy Kreme ones seem so small and wimpy in comparison. And they are $ 1 each OR get this, 6 for $ 3.49. Oooooooh yeah! (I’ll be sure to thank my brother-​in-​law for introducing me to these things when I am like 400lbs with diabetes.
Aside from the donuts, I also enjoy their produce department. They typically have fruit samples, which are a Godsend when your toddler is having a meltdown because it’s just about dinner time and you had to stop to grab something for dinner. Snagging like a dozen free pieces of watermelon or pineapple is ok, right???
I find their meat department very expensive and usually only will grab something if it’s on sale or I am absolutely desperate. For instance say their chicken breasts are like $ 3.99/lb where you can get them elsewhere for $ 1.99/lb. eh.
All in all, I will definitely be back. :-)

I go to Harris Teeter because I can find a lot of the gluten free foods. This is the first time at this location. Purchased a 24pk of aquafina, at first glance it looked like it cost $ 4.99 and with your card you pay $ 4.00. Who doesn’t like to save $ 1. Actually they charge $ 8.99 for a 24pk and take $ 4.00 off so you pay $ 4.99. Who charges $ 8.99 for water? $ 4.99 is what I pay everywhere else. Bait and switch there. Will start watching the prices more closely.

Not to big and not to small. Very friendly staff and fresh food. Great with kids. Like any other Harris Teeter its not cheap but when they have double or triple coupons you can make out like a bandit.
