Underwhelmed. Food was ok, but misrepresented in the menu descriptions. Polenta cakes had same taste and texture as the pancakes(that were also ordered at our table). There was no trace of citrus in the polenta cakes. The«stuffed» French toast was also disappointing. It was basically smeared in a cinnamon buttery substance and that passed as «stuffed.» Not worth the price, in my opinion.

Great vegetarian options and they are well detailed. If you love brunch, this is your spot in clemson.

I don’t review very often, but I was compelled to after eating breakfast at Sunnyside Café this morning. They have one of the most interesting menus I have seen in a long time with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Sweet Fried Grit Patties and I can’t get over how good everything on the plate was. My server was very nice and attentive, and even though the place was packed, my food came out of the kitchen quickly. I can’t wait to go back and I hope to try everything on the menu.

Were on our way to another place for lunch when we noticed Sunny Side Café. We loved it! Bright, airy atmosphere with incredible food! We are vegetarians, and Clemson doesn’t offer much, but Sunny Side had several choices(even vegan). The quesadillas were awesome, and the Moroccan soup(changes daily) was amazing. Best food I’ve had in Clemson, with great prices. We will go back!

I’ve been here twice now and the food is a much needed addition to Clemsons bland array of restaurants. The food is really good and the menu offers a wide variety of choices ranging from breakfast to lunch. I highly recommend the huevos or the breakfast Cuban. The service could definitely use some refining as the host didn’t show up at the stand for a good 5 min after we had arrived to take down our name. There were also clearly tables available when we arrived but for some reason she waited another 5 min to seat us at one. But that’s a small criticism and an easy fix. Great restaurant and a top choice in Clemson.

I have eaten breakfast here twice. Both times were exceptional. The toast came out hot and the grits were great. I will report when I have some of their more exciting dishes. Service was excellent at 8:45 Am.

Very good food, extensive breakfast and lunch menu, good service! A place I wish clemson had had when I was here but I’m glad they’re here now! Uses local ingredients when possible(has a long list on the menu of who they use)

This place is amazing. I was in town for a Clemson football game and needed to find a decent breakfast. I didn’t expect to find much but stumbled across Sunnyside and it looked busy so I figured it should be good and went in to give it a chance. I do a lot of traveling and I can honestly say that this was one of the best breakfasts that I have ever eaten. I got an omelette with ham, cheese, peppers and onions with a side of bacon and toast. I know, it doesn’t sound like much but it was delicious. While talking with the waitress, I learned that they source all of the meat, eggs and produce locally when it is possible. I don’t know if it was the local fresh food or just a great cook but mine was great. I had a glass of OJ that was great and woke up with a large mug of some coffee that I wish I could remember the name of. I didn’t have to wait for a table but they were busy. It took a few minutes to get my order in but the waitress was keeping my coffee full and my food came out hot about 15 minutes after I arrived. Very satisfied with my experience, will be back next year for another game and some more breakfast.

Fun, unique menu. Visited for brunch and it was a cheerful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious meal. Will be returning! I ordered the Eggs Benedict with cheese grits. There is a crispy fried onion on the sandwich– a delicious surprise! Much needed addition to Clemson!

Food is really good. The service is still poor. I’ve been twice now. The second time was better, but still not as good as its food.

Food was delicious! A bit noisy/bad acoustics. I ordered a Cuban style sandwich called the Miami Sub and my wife ordered the Cobb club. The sandwiches were great but the fries were hard and starchy like they hadn’t been cooked at all before going in the fryer. That said, the menu looked great and we’d love to go back for more!

Great food! Not super fast. Working out the service kinks, but overall a much needed addition to Clemson!

I work at Clemson, and decided to bring in some breakfast biscuits for myself and my coworkers. They were delecious. Everyone agreed and I know that 3 of the 6 have already found their way back to try some more.

Great experience with the short time they have been opened. Got our food quick. Gravy on biscuits was a little cold but over all visit was good. Staff was friendly too. Very nice bathroom I might add.

The food was great but the service was terrible. I waited 45 minutes on a chicken salad sandwich. The staff needs to be more attentive.
