Just tried going here today for lunch. They are permanently closed. Signage indicates there is a Latin bakery scheduled to open at this location. Disappointed too cause I would have loved to try it based upon the reviews!

We visited for our first time and were pleasantly surprised. The server recommended plantain chips and they were fabulous. Both my wife and I ordered the Cuban sandwich and split an order of pigeon beans and rice, and it was excellent. We should have ordered one and split it, but it was nice to have leftovers for lunch the next day! This is a must visit and you will be glad you did.

This place is amazing! I just moved here from New York and was looking for good Spanish authentic food! The mofongo was good and steak with onions was amazing. The flan was amazing too!!! Zoraida was amazing too

Disappointing. We went there tonight and they were out of plantains, fries and had to double check if they had steak for the Pan Con Bistec. Ultimately we left. We will try again this week before we leave.

Wow! I haven’t had food this good in such a long time!!! Don’t be fooled by how the place looks on the inside. It tasted so good, I had the rice, beans, tostones and beef steak and my boyfriend had the fried pork. The lady that took our order looks like she is the owner and she was great! Very nice and courteous. Best Puerto Rican meal I’ve had around the orlando area. The dessert also was very good, we had a tres leches and a flan. Will comeback!!!

This is a great place to eat. The chicken Mofongo with scampi sauce is delicious. There is a bit of a wait but that’s because everything is cooked fresh and ready to serve. The waitress was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! The coconut flan was so good! It’s a very simple restaurant without elaborate décor, but it’s not needed. I highly recommend this place.

Food was good. Small place, sort of café style. The rice and beans were okay. The steak sandwich was okay. I was expecting the mofongo with shrimp to be stuffed, but it wasn’t, shrimps were small and not enough. The best plate was the tostones locos, definitely and must have.

Just ate at this place & couldn’t be more satisfied with my meal it was absolutely delicious ! Felt like I was eating my grandmothers Puerto Rican cuisine. The shrimp mofongo was moiste and soooo good. I also tried my husbands bistec and it was also delicious my son wanted a basic ham and cheese and even that was delicious on warm bread just like in PR. There was only one waitress but boy was she good.

We’re from out of town and always looking for small, local, budget-friendly places with good food and Café didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend the shrimp curry. Our waitress was super friendly, too!

There are few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted it borders the line of genius that is exactly what we ate tonight. Their mofongo is fabulous, especially the shrimp with creole sauce! Anyone and everyone should try this wonderful gem.

Small place, there is only one cook and one waitress. True service is slow but its understandable, she is great and doing her best. The food is phenomenal!!!

Although the place is small and smells a little weird we gave it a try. I think the smell is the combination of cleaning products and Latin spices in a closed environment. I initially thought it was another ethnic restaurant prior to El Café Caribe. Anyways, when I went inside wanted to turn around and leave but decided to order take out instead. We ordered tripleta, quadripleta, and jibaritos. We loved them all. Food was made to order and really good. Service was great! I will definitely go back! I grabbed a card so u can call ahead next time. I definitely recommend it.

I can’t say if the food or good or bad. What I can say is that the service is disastrous. Given the fabulous reviews I arranged to meet friends here for lunch — 25 minutes away for me and 35 minutes for them. My friends showed up around 25 minutes after the restaurant was supposed to open. About 10 minutes later a guy showed up, entered the place without saying a word, and headed for the back. Another 5 minutes later we arrived. We stood around outside for another 15 minutes. Then we tried knocking. We tried calling the phone number on the door. Finally, an hour and 15 minutes after El Café Caribe were supposed to open we finally gave up. I understand ‘Island time’ — I’ve lived on an east coast island and spent a lot of time in Hawaii. And I love to support small family run businesses. But hiding from customers in the back of a restaurant all that time — time the restaurant is supposed to be open — is just inexcusably rude.

Quaint little place, a hidden gem. Very simple décor and very welcoming. Food was delicious and was made to order all fresh products. I will definitely be back again! You can’t be the prices as well.

Good portions. Really tasty food. Perfect seasoning on their creole sauce and good attention. And being from New York. We are picky eaters!

This is the spot for authentic Caribbean flavor. You won’t be disappointed! The mofongo was great no matter what you combine it with. Be sure to bring your appetite you won’t be disappointed.

My family and I just had dinner at El Café Caribe and it was wonderful. The place was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was great and reasonably priced. Hubby had Carne Frita with white rice and beans and tostones, our little one had the Biste encebollado with white rice and beans and small mofongo and I had the Mofongo relleno de pernil. I couldn’t help myself and ended up trying their food too and was not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection. We will definitely go back one of this days and bring our friends and family along as well.
