Fancy Sushi

Stopped by for lunch and since it was our first time, we immediately hit the specialty rolls page. Not finding anything compelling, we navigated to the last page and found the Lunch Special menu. We decided on a shrimp and scallop hibachi combination and 3 rolls — tuna, spicy salmon and eel/​avacado. Both came with soup and salad. The quantity was just right for lunch and the price reasonable — about $ 11 — $ 12 per person. Smallish place but the staff was very friendly and prompt. Good enough to come back especially to check their dinner selections.

Always great but they recently stepped up their Sushi game. Must a tweaked a few things bc my latest trip was incredible! I eat here at least once a week.

Got take out for first time. I am picky with my sushi, as I am from new York and expect variety and freshness. This place was good. Had a good variety between cooked and raw rolls. It was fresh and I enjoyed all 3 rolls I purchased. Will go there again although it’s a bit of a drive for me.

We just moved to clermont, and this place is awesome, free samples every time we’ve been to the restaurant, to go prep time is very fast. Fairly awesome combo deals on the menu. Love the Krab Rangoon.

Very cute place, and food was very good and cheap too. I chose healthy star– miso soup and seaweed salad. Also got free crab app! Nice touch!
For main we had padtai, which was good just not my fave. But my lemongrass ginger chicken w shrimp was super! Huge portion too. I asked for extra hot sauce, ‘cos that just makes everything better! Will definitely come back to this place!

Good sushi nice staff they do have lots of different menu items and tons of specials going for food menu items. Will go back.

This is not my first visit, but it will definitely be my last. This was, however, my first take-​out order. The rolls have gotten far smaller, and the quality is merely edible. I decided to try their Pad Thai which was regrettable indeed. It was nothing more than Pad Thai noodles (with overcooked shrimp and chinese cabbage) swimming in an odd, syrupy, flavorless light brown sauce. Nothing resembling Pad Thai at all: no peanuts, no bean sprouts, no Pad Thai sauce.
I tried to doctor it with a splash of soy, squeeze of lime, & some heat, but to no avail. I took exactly three bites: two before doctoring it and one after: it was –and still is– inedible. Easily the saddest attempt at this dish that I’ve ever seen or tasted.
My advice is don’t. Just don’t. I won’t bother contacting them after reading several reviews about their interaction with customers. It’s not worth the aggravation. Let my loss be your gain: if you want quality sushi or Thai in Clermont keep looking.

5 stars for like lunch special! I’ve been wanting to try this place and I was finally on this side of town. I had 2 roll combo (salmon and spicy tuna crunch). Great flavors and right balance of rice/​fish. I’ll be back to try more!

Just moved to the area and have found our go-​to sushi place! Four of us went and split quite a number of rolls. The ones that I will totally order again:
Dumbo roll
Butterfly roll
Donkey kong roll (my absolute favorite)
Those are the ones I actually remember the names of, but we ordered like 8 or something, so hard to recall all of them.
Getting the rolls took a while, but we think it’s because the waitress (who spoke very broken English), asked us if we wanted them to all come out together or as they were made. It wasn’t entirely clear what she was asking, so we just agreed to have them all come out at once, hence taking a while, but they were well worth the wait
Can’t wait to go back!

I see some comments on the service here. The waitress greeted us, took our order, checked on us and was pleasant. We had a sleeping toddler with us and she was great with him then and after he woke. Slow service, but we did go when it was packed and got the last table. Sushi isn’t fast food, so there’s that.

My wife, mom, aunt, son and I devoured 9 rolls and would have easily polished off even more had we thought to order more. I think we got 4 or 5 of their specialty rolls and then 4 or 5 smaller ones. All were delicious! Honestly, I can’t recall the names of any of them at the time, but really who cares? Get the ones with ingredients you like and they’re going to make it great! Good sauces and the ones that were supposed to be warm were warm and the cool ones cool. All was fresh!

Terrible sushi. Every roll we ordered seemed to be drowned in the same sauce, we couldn’t finish what we ordered because of the lack of flavor and not to mention like warm fish is a very bad sign. Go to Sushi Storm for the good stuff.

I had dinner here with my wife based on the great reviews. I was not impressed with the service, they were more interested in visiting with other people than taking care of the guest. Also, the miso soup was cold, I sent it back and it was boiling when it came back, probably from a microwave. I noticed some other guest send their miso soup back. I am not super picky but this was less than acceptable to me. I won’t be going back.

Awesome sushi! Fresh, great princes, (I am a fan of raw sushi) the boat for two it’s awesome! The services it’s great as well.
Our favorite place for sushi was Wasabi in Winter Park, since they closed a few years ago we have been searching for a good sushi place and we found it!
I took my sister and friends and they love it!

Good service at first but the fish leaves much to be desired. I was excited to see Toro on the board but it tasted like it came from… who knows where. I told my server and she rolled her eyes at me. I won’t be back for a while.

Why is it that every asian restaurant I go into at opening it so freekin hot like they shut down the ac all night because they would rather save a dollar that care of the comfort of the customer ?
And don’t you just love it when u order hot tea and they microwave it on the same cup they serve it in so hot you can’t drink out of it without burning the crap out of your mouth? Oh yummy more microwave soup. Water with 2 slices of mushroom and 2 slices of scallions. Yea! 20 min later and I still can’t touch the hot tea. And the sushi chef is still not done setting up his station. Maybe he should get to work earlier? Oh yummy he is using yesterday’s cut avocado and yesterday cut fish? Wtf? I’m out of here. Apparently most of the positive reviewer here do NOT sit at the sushi bar. Ignorance is bliss… here’s your sign.

Came in for lunch. The sushi was fresh and served very quickly. Had a tuna avocado roll and a spicy salmon roll. Prices are very fair and I would recommend it if you are in the mood for a decent sushi fix. Service is purely functional as they simply ensure they get your order and get it delivered to you in a timely manner.
Decent spot.

Located just next to the «EPIC» theaters in clermont is a small sushi place. They always give you a free sample of something from the kitchen. They do a great job making you feel welcome. So they get an extra star. Depending on which server you get one of them is superb the other is not that great and you need to ask for everything. They seems to not like to give sauces out which is annoying to me. They are not my favorite for «sushi» but I like the appetizers here. If your a fan of CRAB RANGOONS you MUST order these. Most of their appetizers are about $ 5.00 so prices are reasonable. I haven’t ever seen this place with a large crowd but it’s a place to give it a try. Very clean restaurant.

After sorting through some Unilocal reviews looking for a sushi place near me, I stumbled upon Fancy Sushi. With it only being a 15 minute drive from me I figured, why the heck not?! Pretty much one of the best decisions I’ve made recently.
On the outside, the place doesn’t look like much. Just your typical strip mall restaurant. Definitely doesn’t stick out much. I had to drive around a bit to even find the place. It’s also on the end hidden in a little corner, which also makes it a little hidden.
The inside of the restaurant was nice, but again typical, small sushi restaurant. A few tables, the area where they make the sushi, and some seating around that. Only a few other parties were in the restaurant so it was easy to get a table. We were promptly seated by a very smiley, pleasant waitress.
Now the important part: the food! I ordered a tuna avocado roll with miso soup and my boyfriend ordered spring rolls. All of the food was on point! If I wasn’t so full I would have definitely ordered more.
If you live near/​are visiting the Clermont area definitely check out Fancy Sushi. You won’t be disappointed!

To be honest they had a solid four maybe a five until just now. Second time here in as many days. We loved it but found that they nickel and dime you. Came in today we both ordered and I even ordered again because it is good, I asked for another refill and was told 2.50 to do so. On top of the $ 2.00 extra for avocado ($ 1 extra yesterday) I’m kind of sad because I really enjoyed it but I hate giving my money to greedy people… At least offer me a water… Hmm wonder how much that is? It is free and doesn’t taste horrible incase you wondered!
On a side not yesterday they gave us a small holiday roll for free and a orange for desert and today it was not offered. Hmmmmm I did tip well yesterday so not sure why it is different today…
