Golden Corral

It’s just okay. The steak is tough. The entrees were decent. The hard thing for me to see was the ice cream machine. Filthy. I wonder if it ever gets inspected. The hot fudge container looked like it had never been cleaned. Ugh. Just an all around mess.

Phillis and I had lunch at Golden corral on January 26. I have been to several different Golden corral’s in the area and this by far is the best. The salad bar is always fresh and clean. Everything just seems to taste better

I was here last week because my roommate wanted dinner out and he invited me to go with him. I am not a fan of Golden Corral, but he invited I go with him to provide company to him.
The service was fine, food was ok, and the location is convenient. I saw some of the food that looked dried out and did not look appealing to me. The dinner price was gone up a few bucks from the last time I was here.
I would suggest coming here only if you are in the mood some of basic American food. Nothing fancy, but does offer a wide selection of food choices. It is a buffet that you serve yourself. Not too bad for it is.

I must admit, I was hesitant to dine here after seeing the 2 star rating, but for an inexpensive, quick and decent meal, you can’t go wrong.
Pluses include a terrific salad bar and tasty chicken noodle soup, a discount offered to seniors 60+ and there are sugar-​free dessert offerings which is rarely seen.
Minuses: easy to overeat, lots of fattening food, and the feeling that you are one of the «cattle» in the «corral.»
You need to pick and choose wisely or you will consume thousands and thousands of calories on some so-​so fare, like mashed potatoes, pasta, pizza and yeast rolls.
Be sure to tip the person who clears your plates and refills your drinks. Although a buffet, these folks work hard to make you feel welcome.

Good salad bar, but a lousy excuse for a steak. Without a doubt the worst steak on the planet

We like Golden Corral. We have been to many locations and they all seem to be pretty constant with each other. Not the greatest restaurant but good for what you pay for. I like their awsome pot roast, mashed potatoes and dark gravy. Great selection for salad. Of course the chocolate cake and ice cream are good. We will continue to go there.

Look, it’s Golden Corral. What were you expecting? This is mass produced sodium rich, food that is about quantity over quality. The reason we don’t go anymore is that the salad bar is terrible. Most of it is taken up by crap like nacho cheese and not lettuce. I know this isn’t sweet tomatoes but please throw us vegetarians a bone. A bone made of lettuce?

OK let me start by saying this was my first year anniversary my wife and i took a vacation for our anniversary and went to clermont being that it is one of our fave places to go when we want to seclude ourselves in a nice room with no one around us and no kids you know how it is. we decide to go to golden corral for a meal and omg biggest mistake ever i want my money back now… first off no one at the cashier, manager shows up with other worker their talking bout how small the cashier area is and after about 5 minutes she looks at us and says oh she will help you and points to the soda girl. secondly very limited selection for a golden corral we have been to a few this one has maybe half of what most do. food ugh. bland, no flavor dry taco meat looked like dog food even the cakes were dry too sweet just quality of food is horrendous awful, yucky. i mean how ever many words there are for disgusting that describes the food here. the service is good. i mean manager stays on top of her staff servers are very courteous but lets face it when you go to eat your not just going for the service but for the food. Buffet doesn’t have to mean disgusting dry dog food on a pretty platter being served to you and you eat it because of the name or who is serving it to you.

Now this was my first time going here… and it was Thanksgiving Day mind you. This nice lady I have become friendly with said this would be a good place for me for Thanksgiving dinner…
First and foremost, I have no qualms about the food. It was quite tasty and the food was fresh… steak cooked right in front of me to order. Those Yeast Buns… ooooh, they are sinful!
The selection of food was amazing!
Okay… parking was crowed, but what would one expect for Thanksgiving.
When I got there at about 1, I got in relatively quickly. I shared my table with a complete single stranger, can’t see a seat going to waste… when I left, the line was through the foyer and out the door!
Now for the real downer… in one word — - «STAMPEDE»
Okay… this is NOT a place for the disabled! I’m disabled and I thought I was going to get run over by the savages! Now I’m not referring necessarily to the younger crowd! There were those that had more gray hair than I, and man can they move for the food! The feeding frenzy at this place was like a Black Friday on some rare Elmo toy… All you could do was get out of the way for those that seem to have grazing rights.
I agree with DJ, you got to fight the crowd and work to get your food…
I’m willing to try this place again, but not on a major holiday…
This is NOT a place to bring your date.
This is NOT a place for a decent family outing.
This is NOT a place to bring your poor feeble relative.
This is NOT a place for anyone with any type of disability.

Had rave reviews from neighbors who tried it. I think NOT. As buffets go, this one was not good. Food over cooked, over salted, flat in flavor. Plus you never know who’s hands were just in the food you are getting ready to serve yourself. Seriously, we sat and watched. That was enough for us to never return.

After many visits we’ve decided to cross this place off our list. Regrettably, this Golden Corral isn’t quite as golden as it was at first. (Even then it was simply average.) Advertised menu items are often out of stock and other choices have diminished in quality as well as variety. Yes, at $ 10 for all you can eat, it’s not that expensive, but you can probably find more satisfying fare elsewhere for less. In fact, we know you can!
