Growing up in New Jersey, my expectation based on the reviews here was pretty high. Unfortunately I found that while the pizza(half pepperoni, half plain) was decent, it was not what I consider NY pizza quality. Crust had the consistency more like a cracker than pizza dough which should be crunchy outside, and a little doughy/fluffy inside. The staff was very pleasant and we had no issues with getting our order on time.

I recently moved to Clermont and was in the mood for pizza. I found G’s and tried their plain cheese pizza and was hooked! Authentic NY pizza! They are always so pleasant, efficient and always in a good mood! Although there is a pizza joint in front of my neighborhood, I choose to come here. Good food and good service is hard to find nowadays, thank you G’s for cooking with LOVE!

We have ordered from G’s several times and the food is always delicious. I would highly recommend the Stromboli. The owner is very polite and welcoming. I wish there were more family run food options like this in the area.

By far the best pizza we’ve had in the area. My husband is from New York and we’ve tried most places around us. Heads and shoulders above the rest. Love the authentic NY attitude from the owner/workers. They may seem gruff, but are sweethearts!

Great pie, subs are average. okay maybe slightly above average but the first time I ordered a sausage and peppers sub I got gipped on the peppers and onions. Overall it is clear that this is a real deal NY Pizza joint. Along with the high quality food, the atmosphere inside is very indicative of a classic NY pizza place. It appears to family owned and operated. The inside is very small and they have a tiny old school TV hanging in the corner. I wish they would expand and open up more locations, especially because I don’t live in Clermont anymore.

I gave 5 stars because the pizza is amazing. This is the best pizza I’ve had in Florida and I having found anything in boca raton Naples nothing. This pizza taste just like jersey pizza and reminds me of home. The only complaint is have is the French fries suck.

I’m glad so many New Yorker’s have reviewed this place because it’s true– they’re as authentic as you’ll get in Florida, and specifically Lake County! As another New Yorker(Queens), this is my go to spot when the pizza cravings kick in, plus they sell them by the slice as well, which is hard to find in small towns. Great prices and daily specials to be taken advantage of.

The only pizza we’ll eat in Clermont. We’re trying to eat healthier, so we don’t eat pizza as much as we used to, but when we do we wont settle for less. I’ve never had pizza in NY but this is what I imagine it would be like. Everyone here is so friendly, in NY kinda way not in a deep south kinda way. We’ve had cheese pizza, white pizza, garlic knots, eggplant parmesan dinner and sandwich. All were awesome!

I’ve lived here in Clermont for 6 months now and in that time I’ve tried several pizzerias in Central Florida; I have to say that G’s is by far the best. Try their arancini(rice balls) they are huge and delicious. I’m moving to Volusia County in a few weeks, but will make that hour plus drive to Clermont for my G’s fix!

The best pizza in Clermont by far! We go there at least once a week and never have had a bad pizza yet. I can’t say anything about their delivery service because we only live 2 blocks away and I always pick our pizza up. If you are hungry for a good traditional New York style pizza, G’s is the place to get it!

I never had a problem with them. Being from NY, I can deal with attitude. The pizza here is better than Flippers down the street. Foghettoboutit.

MYREVIEW: Being born and raise in Brooklyn N.Y. and ate pizza in every Borough. I say G’s is BETTER than most Pizzerias located in the 5 Boroughs. I also have tried nearly every Pizzeria in Central Fl. Just a slice and did give each Pizzeria more than one chance btw.(YES I AM A PIZZALOVER) A Pizza lover all my life for 43 years. I know what N. Y Style pizza taste like. Meaning the 5 Boroughs(Not upstate nor the Tri-States). When I 1st tried G’s I went to 5 Pizzerias and bought a slice from each. Did a blind taste test on my wife(She to enjoys a Great slice of pizza) and we both were amazed that we agreed G’s was by far the best. We knew we found the pizza we have been without for years since we moved to Fl. The 1st. 18″ pie was ordered, the smell was so good that it filled our car in seconds. Opening the box when we got home was an amazing site. The lightly glisten of the orange sheen(fresh olive oil) from fresh pizza sauce that floats to the top. The crust was exactly as one of the best Pizzerias in Brooklyn. Thin, golden to perfection, some big air pockets, etc. I also checked the bottom of the pie crust. Perfect and evenly browned. The cheese is top quality mozzarella and the pie is seasoned to perfection. NOT over killed with herbs that have no right being on a pizza in the 1st place. OVERALL5STARTS. Very friendly, always ready on time and DELICIOUS!!! :O) ENJOY. It seems to me that the two bad reviews were ticked off about something other than the food. And here is why, IMHO! I need to make get the record straight! #1) From, Kevin W, G’s left a really bad taste in my mouth. From the phone call to place the order, to the delivery time, to the taste(or lack of) of the food, it wasn’t a positive experience. The person who answered the phone must have ahd a bad day. What a jerk. He seemed pretty irritated that we were ordering food and apparently getting delivery was a problem although the coupon stated they delivered far beyond where we live. We got the product we expected based on the attitude of the person who answered the phone. (My OPINION– He is NOT from the 5 boroughs, N.Y. people sound rude because of our accent, 1 hr. is not such a long wait since it’s all made FRESH, I have always asked my entire life even in Brooklyn before I ordered if the mushrooms are canned or fresh or if the sausage is sweet or spicy, and finally it was your first time ordering and you ramble on about a persons voice more than anything. #2)From Mary M, This is the second time we have received a dry, tasteless pizza from here. (My OPINION — You need to get you flavor buds checked out or you also are not from N. Y and are used to Pizza Hut, Dominoes, etc. They are fast food pizza’s, where they kill it with over-seasoned sauce and a pan/thick style crust that is seasoned with artificial flavoring. So if you like globs of sauce that has been made months ago and shipped across the country with a big fat crust, you should stick with fast food pizza or frozen. «Not thin as we asked and requested» LOL, like I said Fast food gives you a million options. N.Y.C. Style pizza is served one way.

I really do love this pizza! Being from New York, its hard to find good pizza here. I have ordered from G’s almost every week since they opened, and its never been a dissapointment. The staff is always friendly, and are always nice to talk to when i come pick up the order. The pizza is really good. Of course, the crust is not at the NY level, but its great for what the Clermont water can offer. I would definately recommend to go give G’s a try.

Pizza is NOT good. We ordered 1−½ hours ahead of our requested delivery time since it was going to be a busy night(Friday evening, World Series final game, and rain). Pizza DID arrive on time, that is the best I can say about it. It probably was cooked when we ordered it 1−½ hours ago. Dry, tough crust. Not thin as we asked and requested. No sauce, skimpy ingredients. This is the second time we have received a dry, tasteless pizza from here. Both times we were with friends that wanted to order from here and their pizza the first time was good, so they ordered again. Now, NEITHER of us will be ordering from here again.
