I was dreading this visit(for my daughter to get her blood drawn) because of the reviews I read on this place. But it wasn’t a horrible experience. I went there signed in, sat down for a couple minutes, and then the receptionist called me up to verify some stuff. She wasn’t mean just serious.(But I’m sure everything has changed since the last review which was written in 2013) Everyone there was polite and I didn’t have any problems.

Holy Moly. What the heck has happened to health care. This is like having your fluids drawn in the lobby of a howard johnson hotel. The carpets are all stained and the staff are very impersonal and unfriendly. While waiting I watched as one of the receptionists were loudly repeating an older hard of hearing mans sensitive medical information(and also his social security number) to the entire waining room. While getting my blood taken, the technician didn’t even make eye contact and literally addressed me as a number as he had me sign and initial paperwork(I’m sure it was to relinquish any liability for probably infecting me with ebola.) When I mentioned to the tech that it reminded me of a trip to the DMV she didn’t say anything, as if I wasn’t there. This establishment made my skin crawl. I was not happy when I was there, but even worse. I totally cringe every time I pass by the sign.

Part II of my previous reveiw. The longer I stayed in the waiting room, the more I was shocked. An elderly gentleman came in for his PT/INR, an important, usually routine, monthly blood test required for those who take blood thinners, i.e., coumadin. Well, ya know you catch more flies with honey than vinegar! This woman is so brisk that she scared this old man out of there from having his lab done! Typical SOP to have people sign papers should their insurance not pay(in this case likely MediCare) stating that the patient is responsible. Well this terrified the old man. Obviously, he has never had to pay before because his insurance took care of it for him. She made it sound so punitive that he left. Instead of saying in a normal tone that it is typical and at every Quest you sign this paper and if you haven’t paid before, if everything is still the same you likely won’t get billed this time but it is our precaution and policy to have all customers sign it at every visit. NO… she has to sound like a witch from hell, beat him over the head with their policy and procedure and say«Well, you have to sign it and if you don’t you won’t get your blood drawn!» Now I know if you talked to anyone, no matter their age, they would walk right out of there as well. I think I’ll find someone at Quest Corporate and complain. I am in the healthcare profession and I wouldn’t want any of my patients to be treated this way. What a disgrace to the healthcare profession. She may know every policy from A to Z but her customer service and what we call«bedside manner» are lacking to the point where she should lose her job. Too many people are unemployed right now for this witch to be employed and treat people this way. I bet they could fill this position in a heartbeat!
