I have golfed Swiss Fairways for years and they have made improvements with new ownership in the past couple of years. Cosmetically the cart paths were redone, the signage has been replaced but the course still needs work but it’s getting better. Don’t get my wrong, I really like this course. It is laid back in the country of Lake County, it’s typically not packed and you can get a round in for less than $ 20. The amenities I agree aren’t the fanciest but the staff who run the place are some of the nicest around. I will definitely be back.

My buddy hit me up last weekend and asked me to play here. Its a bit of a drive for me but it was around $ 20 and someone else had told my friend that it was a nice course for the price. Once my friend told me where we were going to play, I looked the place up on the Internet to see what others had to say about it, and the reviews were not good. I was sorta worried I was gonna drive a little under an hour to a crappy golf course. Fortunately, I didn’t. Let me start of by saying that I am no golf professional, I’ve only been playing for about a year, but I’ve been playing quite a bit in that time. If your looking for a fancy clubhouse and hot beverage cart girls, don’t go lookin’ here. The clubhouse is a trailer and there’s not much for amenities here. That’s maybe the source of the negative reviews I saw. They had golf carts, a driving range and a well maintained golf course so consider me happy. I shot my best round so far on this course as well, which may contribute to my content. It was a nice and well maintained place in my opinion and you can’t beat the $ 20 I paid, it was a gorgeous day. I’d play here again.
