The rec center of Cleveland Heights has some positives and negatives. Cost: the cost is reasonable for hts residents, there are different levels which I’m not going to post, but it’s around $ 175-$ 200 for a year. Positives: this can go as both, they have a fantastic out door pool in Cumberland park! Top notch. But all they have is an outdoor pool, nothing year round. The cost is cheap and affordable. The indoor track is nice and has 4 lanes, two for walking and two for running. A ton of basketball hoops, almost too many. Tons of ice skating available to the public. Lots of room for classes, I haven’t taken any but my job has used one of their back rooms and it had plenty of room. A nice staff and great parking. Negatives: only an indoor pool, no hot tub. Underutilized exterior, they have a path around the outside of building, but just a huge field of nothing. The weight area is pretty small, not enough equipment or weights. Like most things in Cleveland Hts it’s nice, but is not maximizing its potential. If you live in the city it is still a great value and make sure you make it to the pool!

Pros: the hours, indoor track, tai chi and Zumba classes Cons: pricey for the limited machines($ 30 a month!) and you have to pay extra for any classes you want to participate in, only a few machines with individual TVs and they are always taken, could use updated equipment
