Went there before a ball game. It was way less crowded than the corner bar. The tables looked dirty. But the beer was cold and cheap. My wife and I got sandwiches. They were delicious and the waitress did a nice job checking on us. overall good experience.

This place was like an oasis on Saturday. Downtown was hopping with Detroit Tigers(yah) and Cleveland Indians(boo) fans. Most of the area bars and restaurants were jam packed on this hot, muggy day. However, this little place seemed to have found a way to stay somewhat hidden. Which is a bit of shame because the air conditioning was refreshing, the bar area was quaint, the wait staff was young and friendly, the beer was cold and the sandwich was good(I had«The Jake» which was roast beef and cheddar on a ciabatta bun). My only complaint was that the two TVs are a little small and high up to see when you’re sitting at the bar. Minor inconvenience given the other charms.

A downtown espresso bar with a lot of charm. You can start and finish your day there beginning with coffee and a breakfast sandwich and ending with a glass of wine. It’s great, you never have to leave, well, unless you have to go to work or something. Did I mention the excellent choice of music? Here’s a hint: it’s not Top 40.
