Alexander’s Hardware

I’ve been spending more time in the Central neighborhood as I work here now and needed to buy some sandpaper for the office. Didn’t want to journey all the way down to Home Depot in Steelyard.
Few retail businesses exist in the Central neighborhood Alexander’s is a typical mom and pop indy hardware store — keys, small tools, blades, and such — serving the Central neighborhood.
But what, they also have a small selection of kitchen utensils and accessories?! In hardware store, yes! Pots and pans?; Yep! Your pyrex pan cracked? They have it!
I’m clueless why they would even carry this — Dean Supply on 35^th and Woodland, not far from here, has a greater selection, but hey — if you’re in the neighborhood, perhaps on your home way from work at the clinic and need a new non-​stick pan or your pyrex baking pan cracked, you can stop here.
I’ll continue to go here whenever I need to pick some hardware for the office.
